hi.. over the past six months, I noticed and feel a lump in my throat... ties in with my relationship with my girlfriend. Not sure if its about anger,resentment, fear, etc; but, the feeling is real for me. any suggestions..

Globus pharyngis (also known as globus sensation, globus or, somewhat outdatedly, globus hystericus; commonly referred to as having a 'lump in one's throat') is the persistent sensation of having phlegm or some other sort of obstruction in the throat when there is none. Swallowing can be performed normally, so it is not a true case of dysphagia, but it can become quite irritating. One may also feel mild chest pain or even severe pain with a clicking sensation when swallowing.

In reference to the Silica remedy, I had read that anyone with a heart valve or stent should never take Silica because it will cause the body to expel the foreign item.... not good if you have such a medical device... Please confirm if this is a risk, and please make sure that any discussion of the remedy Silica has this warning along with it....
Meanwhile, my 95 year old father with Type II Diabetes, and a stent, has several complaints that I am seeking remedies for... one of them is this globus sensation... he eats a mouthful and then gags a bit, making a noise that makes my 93 year old mother annoyed.... it happens whenever he eats... as for other symptoms, he is having issues remembering what day it is, constantly asks the day, is now forgetting who people are, worries horribly about the weather, wakes my mother up in the middle of the night and says he is going to die and wants to give her final instructions, very sensitive to temperature - always cold, extremely suspicious that people are taking his things,depressed, oversensitive and takes every comment as criticism, feels like he is being pushed around, says he still is the man of the house and has temper fits, just sits and watches tv (very unlike how active he used to be fixing everything about the house and on cars), keeps saying my mother doesn't love him anymore, has very little appetite and will not drink liquids, has enlarged prostrate and very frequent urination, stomach pains after eating, constipation.
I have been giving him Mercurius Sol, Lycopodium, Phosphorus, Alumina, Sulphur. Just started yesterday 2 doses so far Baryta Carb 30c and Kali Phos and he did not wake my mother during the night as he usually does.
Please advise.....
