I am a homoeopath, and am new to this site. I am both concerned and amazed that homoeopathic advice on taking remedies without even seeing the patient is given by other homoeopaths. It is vital that in order to recieve proper homoeopathic care, anybody interested should go and see a qualified registered homoeopath. After all my years of training, i believe that homoeopathic remedies are extremely powerful, and as such have got to be treated with respect. The profession will fall apart if this 'prescribing over the internet' continues, because there are 4,500 different remedies, and to narrow the search down to one, for an individual is no mean feat! It has to be done with compassion, respect for the individual, the profession and the remedies.

I may sound that i really am concerned, and that is because i am. Would you seek advise over the phone if your car broke down? I don't think so, but when it comes to our bodies, the very veichle for life, we are will to accept the advice of a stranger, over the internet, and take a remedy we know nothing about in order to have some hope of recovery.

The remedy does not cure anything, let me tell you, what it does is direct the healing ability of your body mind and emotion, on the best possible way to restore balance in itself. The first remedy is just the beginning of a journey, and along the way lots of issues come up, as you are ready to deal with them. You will need support from a compassionate, understanding homoeopath, who will help you understand yourself and the process. I go to my homoeopath every 6 weeks, even though i know lots about the different remedies, because i value myself, and would not be much help to my patients if i didn't understand the process in my own self healing and development.

Unfortunately, this forum reads, to me, like children playing with matches. What i am saying is, be careful and dont get burned. Seek a homoeopath in your area, who will sit with you for a good hour and a half. Assess all your issues and come up with a remedy tailor made for you. This is your constitutional remedy, and will change as you progress! You will have follow up treatments, to assess the changes and monitor if your energy is now calling for a different remedy. Homoeopathy is not an easy profession, it takes years of training, and the one thing every true homoeopath has is respect for the power of the homoeopathic remedies.

Please remember this.

Hello Shady
We appreciate the warning, but many people who come to this site have already been to homeopaths. I have encountered many threads where people indicate that after treating with a homeopath they come here desperatly seeking help.

A most current post made by someone with experience treating with a homeopath is here.

I appreciate the feedback, but its the homoeopath who has failed then, not homoeopathy. Perhaps change of Homoeopath would be the wisest thing. Its too broad a field to meadle with, remedies can effect you in a very profound way, and having read an email encouraging someone to take 1m of a remedy potency, i was screaming warnings in my head. I know people will do what they feel they must, regardless of anything i may point out, and so be it. However, i stand by what i said, wholeheartly, and suggest a change of homoeopath rather than taking it on board to meddle with a very powerful form of energy medicine.

Blessings to all, where ever you may be.

Shady

Thank you. I understand completely where you are coming from.

At the same time, we are oftentimes between a rock and a hard place.

And we have to try what we must if a homeopath is not able or willing or even avaialble to help, then we have to do whatever to help our own selves.

Hope you spend more time here eduating us and helping us and not just warning us. Your experience and knowledgeand help is much needed.

Here is another post by someone taken by a ride by a homeopath. This site is full of bad experiences with homeopaths.

Thank you for the links, but to be completely honest with you i do not even want to know what other homoeopaths do or say to their patients. I can only come from the place where i am. I do not have any control over any other situation, and to read it would not help me at all. I probably would be more upset than you can imagine. I will help anyone that i can and enjoy doing so. So tell me, and i will do my best, but to really be true to me, you must first be true to yourself, and know that all physical ailments are simply reflections of what is going on inside the mental state of the patient. That is where the imbalance has occurred and the physical manifestation or ailments are just the after effect.

Remember this next time when you have a sore throat, and look back over the last few days to see that someone really hurt you, and you didn't stand up for yourself. The throat may well be affected. This is just one way of seeing things, there are many other tools in homoeopathy, each are needed for different people and where they are at.

Sorry if i came across as passing judgement, i simply saw the danger and had to voice it. After all i don't need a sore throat at the moment!!!!

If you need help or advice, from one to the other, feel free to ask, and i will advise but with professional reservations in my heart. if the remedy does not work, its not the right choice for you, and i have failed to see clearly what is going on, homoeopathy does work, this i am convinced off, i have seen so many miracles not to believe this.

Have a lovely evening, and where ever you are i hope the sun shines down on you.

Blessings,
Shady.

Hello Shady

Thanks for offering to help.

I personally have serious social problems that homeopathy can't help me with.

Hope you stick around and help others. There is much need of your help.

In addition to trying medication, you can try meditation. The latter is hard to master, the mind keeps wandering, and one has to keep pulling it back into focus. But I have found calming effects stemming from meditation sessions even though I am just a beginner. 'newbie' depending on where you live, you may be able to find a 'Self Realization Fellowship' center, or 'Art of Living Foundation' courses which can teach you how to meditate. Give it your best effort, and you will manage to calm your mind.
