5mth old night wind!

Hi all, my 5 month old has had a lot of wind since he was born and some remedies have calmed him down, but we haven't found the right one that cured his 'colic'. Last week he was teething with his first tooth and Chamomilla worked its charm, but it did not stop him from waking at night not being able to pass the gas he's got. If I then move him around or pick him up, he lets out a big fart most of the time and can then fall back asleep. But sometimes he tries so hard and it hurts him so much that he wakes up crying a lot too. These past 2 days this happens hourly at night where he wakes up with gas.
There are no more symptoms I can give you because during the day he's a calm and happy baby. He's still being breastfed and his symptoms start after 10 pm. I have excluded all dairy from my diet and other things that can make babies colicy.

Thanks for any help!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You may give him Nux Vomica 30c thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for one day (not daily, only one day) and observe how he responds in the next 3-4 days.

Thanks for your reply. Have tried Nux before but didn't have a lasting effect. I will try again though because it fits.

He had some Cham last night because of his teeth, but it was another horrible gassy night, when can I start him on Nux? Shall I wait a few days for the Cham to lose effect?

Thanks again.

You may try the tissue salts in the following fashion

one pellet of natrum sulph 6x in the morning
and one pellet of mag phos 6x in the evening

on another day
one pellet of kali mur 6x in the morning
and one pellet of kali phos 6x in the evening

on another day
one pellet of ferrum phos 6x in the morning
and one pellet of calcarea phos 6x in the evening

Tissue salts may be given as and when required and there are no restrictions on repeating doses. Don't give more than 3 pellets on a day.

Nux antidotes chamomilla, so it will be good if there is some gap in between. You can give tissue salts.

Wow this tissue salts thing is new to me. I don't understand why I need to give him so many different ones if he doesn't fit the symptoms of most of them? And I don't even know if they're available where I live, I'd have to check. Thanks though, gives me initiative to do more reading and research :) So much to learn... I've just read that Cham has a short duration (1-3 days), I might just risk some day time teething pain and go for Nux, because his teething let him sleep more than his gas? His first tooth is out and he finally takes the pacifier now (never liked it before) so that helps him too.

Please research gassy remedies like Carbo Veg, Lyco, etc.

It is essential to observe the behaviour of the baby esp the reaction to the problem.
