Planter Facieties

I have problem in the foot heel which the doctors describe it as 'Planter Facieties'. I have a severe pain in my heel since last 1.5 years might be due to excessive walking or wearing tight shoes as understood rom the doctor.
I am 32 yrs, 1.67 high, 72 kgs from india, for your understanding

I have been to a doctor in Bahrain and he got my x-ray done wherein there was no spur developed which was a good sign according to the doctor. he gave me some ointments and ibruphin with some other tablets which i do not remember. I had no relief from this medicines n then he told me to take some injections which will cure the pain. I heard from many peoples that this Injections are not good for a long run so i didn't take it.

My problem is I cannot walk for long time, Cannot stand on both the feets for more then 2-3 minutes. if i do that, my heel starts paining and due to this the back side of my heel is always in pain.I feel like there is no sponge in my heel as it directly hits the heel bone. I have tried some home remidies such as Ice massage and hot water dip and got relief from ICE massage upto 50% as compared to the initial pain. But it does not seem to subside as when i walk again or stand for a long time, the pain again starts. the worst is when i wake up in the morning i cannot keep my feet on the floor, it pains like hell untill i walk a few steps. As suggested i have inserted silicon in my shoes below the heel area which gives me protection but it does not help me for a longer period.

its really painful as i cannot go for jogging, cannot walk excessive, if i am out on the road for 30 mins, then i have to go back home or sir somewhere to relax. I am really dpressed with this at this age as my family life suffers due to this.
Please Advise asap.

Hello.
Please, before tacking any medicine, maybe you could tell a little more about your problem.
1. can you remember when this began?
2. Explain a bit about the pain, how they feel. Sharp, cutting, pounding, like splinters, etc?
3. Is there anything to help, temporary relief?
4. Better with hot or cold?
5. The time of day do you think it is most painful?
6. Will it be Any better as you walk, or is it worse?
7. Or is it the worst when you start to walk?

Hi. Thanks for the reply.

Pls. find the below answers to the questions asked.

1. This problem started around
1.5 years ago.
2. The pain is in the heel of the foot and its sharp as if there is no pad at the bottom of the heel and it hurts directly to the heel bone. if i walk for a while it starts paining and due to this there is a pain at the back bone of the heel.I cannot stand at both feet. i have to keep changing my standing positions each minute so that the pressure does not build at the bottom and results in pain.
3. I used to soak my both feets in hot water before for at least 2-3 months and i used to get some temporary relief, but again when i wake up in the morning or walk a little, the same thing starts.but when i started using ICE cubes massage to the heel for 15-20 minutes every day for 2 months, i got 50% reduction in the pain or say the situation is half as of the begining but it does not go away. if i stand or walk a bit more, i develop the pain at the bottom of hte heel and to the back of the heel bone which is very hurting.
4. As experienced cold has more relief then the hot as when i used ICE massage, the problem is only 50% as compared to earlier when i used to soak my feets in the hot water.
5. The most painful is when i get up from the bed and put my first feet on the floor. it hurts as if there is not pad at hte bottom of the heel and heel bone directly hits the floor with a sharp pain, when i walk a few steps, it gets easy and then i can walk.
6.after getting up and walking a few steps makes the foot normal but if i walk as a daily routine works, it starts bothering me and when i am back home from work at evening, i have lot of pain and i cannot stand barefoot.
7. while walking there is no pain but if i walk or do the daily activities, or even sit and keep my heel on the ground, the pain atarts developing as if the entire body wight is on the feet/heel. My weight is 72 kgs,5.7' height, 32 yrs of age.

I am not taking any medicines/injections. only doing ICE massage and hot water soak everyday for 15-20 mins. it gives me relief temporory, but it comes back with the routine work everyday.

Thanks.

Can you say a bit about how you feel in general.
1. How is your mood?
2. How do you sleep?
2 a). Can you wake up with anxiety?
2 b). Are you with your legs crossed?
2 c). Do you feel the pain at night?

3. How is your stomach, your stool?
4. And how's your bladder, some difficulty urinating?

5. When you say that there is a sharp pain, it feels like nails or splinters?
5 a). It feels like the foot, or the area where it is painful, can be hot, burning hot?
5 b) It is better when you've gone a little?
5 c), but worse if you stand a lot? Stand aggravates the pain?

yes sure-

1. when i have pain after i come from some regular activies, i m very upset n always shout or scream on my child or wife. Normally i m very quite n cool unless something bothers me.
2. I have a good sleep, no problem at all, i sleep around 7-8 hours usually. sometimes the pain in the heel is felt in the entire leg especially left one, but the pain in the entire leg is very less n bearable.might take some time to sleep because of that.
2a).i wake up as normal without any problem.
2b)no. i sleep usually left of right side with bend legs, no cross.
2c) once i am asleep, i dont feel any pain. after ice massage or hot bath soak, i really feel relaxed untill i wake up in the morning.
3. I have constipation problem since childhood. i usually have hard stool and every two days cycle or rare cases 3 days.
4. i have no difficulties urinating, its normal.
5. the pain is sharp like a msucle pain or nails.
5a)No burning sensation on the painful area.
5b)yes its better when i walk a little after i wake up.
5c) Exactly! yes when i walk or stand alot, it worsens and stand aggravates the pain very badly. More then walking, its worse when i stand a lot and then heel bone pains a lot at the bottom and backside of the heel .

Thanks.

Ok, then I want you to try Rhus toxicodendron, 200C. Take one dose and wait a week, or if you feel any change. Write and tell me how you feel.
Remember do not drink caffeine, or use menthol or camphor. Take the dose 1 hour before food, or 1 hour after.
I think you should buy both Rhus Tox 200C and 1M.

My 2 cents

'Planter Facieties' and no spur.

This is a case of repetitive injury of Planter Facieties ligament structure.

This information is based on experience:

1. Need to lower your activities - give rest
2. Resistance exercise is needed to strengthen 'Planter Facieties'. Physisotherapists may recommend good resistance exercises. My might recommend icing.
3. Ultrasound therapy such as 'http://www.relievesprains.com"; do help. In fact for me only this one worked. Everything else failed.
4. In my opinion, one prescription in this thread is good for with spur the other one is good for without spur.
5. You may need proper insole. For Planter Facieties it is usually hard insole maintaining structural balance of foot. It won't be soft. Soft insole may cause more damage.
