remedy for menopausal flooding

Dear Homeopathy Community:

I seem to be hitting menopause, and am looking for a remedy to treat severe flooding, with heavy clots. [Sorry, gents, for the graphic description]. Flooding is heaviest in the early morning and tapers off around sundown. Right now I am in a cold climate, so that might be having an impact. Periods are very irregular--I basically never stop bleeding now. Cramping is light and I am weak and spacey from blood loss. I do have some tiny fibroids that I am treating with Chinese herbs.
I'm a 46 yr old caucasian
Also, a separate question, but does raw ginger contraindicate homeopathy? I know raw onions and garlic do, and in the Ayurvedic tradition these are all trinity roots. I eat raw ginger daily—I’ve craved it intensely for the past 16 months

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Sepia 200c at a gap of 4 hours for one day (not daily, only one day) and report back after 15 days.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

You can use 10 drops of Thlaspi Q thrice a day to stop heavy bleeding. Please don't take thlaspi on the day you take Sepia.

If you don't get Thlaspi Q, you may try 3-4 pellets of Thlaspi 3x or 6x thrice a day to reduce the flow. In some nations it is not possible to get Q.

Please avoid ginger in excess. That may lead to excessive bleeding.

Thank you kadwa for your recommendation. I tried the sepia as recommended, and two days later the bleeding got much worse. So much so I got anemic and very weak! I understand that homeopathy involves trial and error, however, so am looking for further advice. I have ordered the thalspi 3x and am waiting for delivery. I also have, in my stash of home remedies, some sabina and some pulsatilla, among other things. Your thoughts?

You can take Sabina. Please take and report back in what potency you have taken and how that affected.

Please try to give more information. It will be better if you write a 500 words essay on yourself that covers your expectations from others, your philosophy of life, significant events in your life etc. Everthing else that you would like to tell. Other physical problems etc.

i suggested sepia on the basis of following symptoms -
menopause
aggravation from cold weather
presence of clots
flooding

Dear Kadwa – I have sabina 6X at home. The thulsi has still not arrived by mail from ABC, but i expect it next week?
Regarding your questions: major events in life were mother’s sudden death when I was age 10; possible sexual abuse in early childhood or early adolseense (I am not 100% sure becuase my memories are repressed. No memory of anything before age 10. Anorexia thru teen years; bulemia in my twenties; lots of anti depressants that worked for short periods, then stopped. Two concussions: age 18 and age 30. Diagnosed with TBI at age 42. {which explained meds not working}. Also a spinal injury/disorder {spondylolisthesis}—likely happened during adolecence when I literally “split in half” This spinal injury was not detected or diagnosed until 1999. At that point, I was told by a Western doctor that “nothing could be done” and that I’d end up in a wheelchair. At that point I began exploring alternative treatments for any and all medical conditions. I do acupuncture, homeopathy, TCM, Ayurveda, meditation, yoga, pranayama, chanting...
I believe in the connection of body/mind/spirit. I believe that disease is an imbalance and that imbalances can be corrected using the mind and the aforementioned practices. I practice kundalini yoga faithfully, and it has helped immensely with depression. For the spine I do network chiropractic...
But this is getting long!
As for the uterine bleeding: for many years I have not paid much loving attention to that area of my body. I suppose b/c of the [possible] sexual abuse, i have not wanted to be female. Therefore I have not wanted to acknowledge the lower half of my body. (again, a sense of being split in half). I have not had a parter for eight years, and prefer this. I am no longer comfortable having sex. The bleeding started shortly after I got my first semi-memories of the abuse—about four years ago. My family does not believe my claims. I’ve been semi-estranged from them ever since. I was even homeless for a while, sleeping in my car, becuase I felt rather worthless and abandonoed! Thouse thoughts have changed, however. But that is when the serious uterine problems began.
Are you overwhelmed with info yet :)
These days I have been able to view my history with compassion, and to understand that any physical problems I have are related to these past emotional issues. I am determined to heal myself, or to take part in healing myself with the aid of caring holistic practitioners. I always see any physical imbalance as more than just 'physical.' My expectations, per your request, is that the answers are always available, as is healing, if one remains open and willing. Thanks!

Go to http://drlockie.com and complete the questionaires and get an idea of the scope of profile the homeopaths here are lo.king for. You may even be able to narrow down the remedy to the correct one. After you get a better understanding, come back here and post. That is what I did and was succesful choosing the correct constitutional remedy for myself based on the very detailed and all encompassing profiles given there.

Sepia should have worked but it didn't. The other two remedies that come to my mind after reading your symptoms are Ustilago Maydis and Lachesis.
Please take three doses of Ustilago 200c at a gap of 4 hours for one day (not daily, only one day) and see how it affects after 15 days.
If it doesn't please take Lachesis 200c in the same way after 15 days.
Please take thlaspi on the day you don't take the homeo remedy like lachesis, ustilago.

You have the right perspective of looking at things. 'I believe in the connection of body/mind/spirit. I believe that disease is an imbalance and that imbalances can be corrected using the mind and the aforementioned practices'. i share your belief.

Please do the necessary follow up with this website if you think that the delivery of medicines is delayed. i don't think that administrative matters could be addressed by writing in the forum. You should mail them directly.

i am 48 years old, living in tropical climate. Also a vegetarian, a yoga practitiner and alternate therapy/remedy follower.
In the past two years, from 2012 onwards, till sep 2013, i have had my periods 4 times. with 4 to 8 months of gap in between them.
Prior to it, my period cycle had been very regular with normal flow.
But since 2012 the cycle is not regular as mentioned above, which i thought must be menopause time has started for me.
The issue here, is during this irregular periods, once the bleeding starts it is too heavy, without much pain in stomach or back. and heavy clots too. It lasts for longer duration of time, for more than ten to fifteen days.

I go through embarassing situations at times.
I HAD BEEN to a homeopath and his medicine worked but he did not tell me which one was that. It was a liquid black in color, which he had asked me to have as ten drops 3 times a day in an ounce of water.

pl advice. it is important to get your reply pls.
