Heart Palpitations - I'm pretty sure I screwed up with my use of the Homeopathic remedies

I am new here and am looking for some guidance.

I know very little about homeopathy and, I think I have made some gross mistakes before I joined this forum and realized, after reading a lot of posts, that I am truly an idiot.

I did not know that one cannot take several remedies at a time until now. Since there are combination products on the market (like ‘Anxiety Relief’, etc)… I erroneously assumed that the remedies could be taken in conjunction with each other. I only waited 30 minutes between them. Amazingly, I think something did help, but I know not which one it was. I will describe how I took them at the end of this post, but I took Prunus Virg, Lachesis Muta, China, and Rescue Remedy
I am a widowed 58 yr old female and have been having heart palpitations for about 2-3 years now. They were very few and far between at 1st, but now, I get them a lot; usually several x’s a day for 3 or 4 days at a time. I have high B/P and I think when either that or my pulse is elevated that it precipitates the palpitations. In the past I was prescribed the medicine, Vioxx®, and I took it for some time before it was withdrawn from the market and I often wonder if it caused my palpitations.
In the beginning I could usually stop the palpitations by taking a half of an Atenolol (25 mg) & a half of a Xanax (0.25 mg). I noticed a long time ago that anxiety about the palps led to panic and that made them worse… thus the Atenolol & Xanax (at the time Rx’d by my family Dr. who I have come to believe doesn’t have a clue). I didn’t want to keep on with the Xanax and started looking for other answers. I have had some success by adding to my present supplement regimen; Omega 3’s (fish oil), magnesium, CoQ10, L-carnitine, Nattokinase & L-arginine. These I added to my present program of numerous supplements. I also added an Herbal anxiety product. I saw less episodes of palpitations after taking these nutrients for about 2 months… but they didn’t stop.
Whenever I feel even a small twinge of anything that even resembles a palpitation, I usually work myself up into such a state of panic and anxiety that they usually get much worse. I think I do have some cardiac involvement but I have no medical insurance at this time and I have not had a cardiac workup. Also, sometimes when I am really in a panic attack I get short of breath and a little dizzy. Also I always feel better if I lie down on my left side almost on my stomach (I know that is NOT one of the indications for Lachesis but it still helps).
I have other health issues also, obesity (I am losing about 2 lbs/week now), and severe debilitating arthritis in my knees. I recently got disability because I have absolutely no cartilage left in my knees and it is bone against bone and I cannot walk anymore. It is a supreme effort for me to go from the bedroom to the bathroom. I have become very inactive over the past 8 months and now I fear I will not be able to walk again because if you don’t use it you lose it. Because I am receiving Social Security Disability before the usual age of retirement, I have a 1 year waiting period before I will qualify for medical coverage. I might get knee replacements at that time if I can. I have worked all my life up until a year ago and I am really suffering from the inactivity. I am an LPN and I most recently worked in Mental Health and Drug Addictions. I loved my job and I stayed at it until I was unable to walk any more.
My adult disabled son lives with me. He is a Schizophrenic, but is controlled on medication. He helps me a lot in day to day activities and household chores. We also share our home with 3 cats and 3 birds and we love them as family members. They are my children, too.
If I ever get myself straightened out I would like to train in Homeopathy. I am a pretty good Herbalist and I have always aspired to be a “Healer” instead of a “nurse”. I hope I am not too old to learn more and be of some help to someone.
I am an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction and I also spend a lot of time researching topics on the internet… there are so many interesting things in the world. My husband died in 2001 and I still miss him terribly, although I have always been very independent. I miss the closeness, affection, and most of all the companionship. I am a typical Libra in that I balance everything and go back and forth when deciding issues. I am very outraged at the injustices and cruelties in the world and I often find myself upset and crying over abuse done to animals. I truly believe that ALL life is sacred and that ‘humans’ are not the only game on the block. I am absolutely horrified at some of the things that go on in the world. Sometimes I over-simplify things and wish that ALL of Creation could live in Peace, Harmony and Balance.
I wonder if somebody could straighten me out on this homeopathic mess I’ve made. The palpitations actually did stop every time I took the remedies.
My palpitations usually start late at night
I started out by taking 10 drops of 12C Prunus Virg in about 12-15 cc of water.
After 30 minutes I took 6 pellets of Lachesis Muta, 6C (the palps were just starting to slow down after that)
After another 30 minutes I took 6 pellets of Cinchona Off, 6C
The palpitations were totally gone after about 2 hours.
During the day I took Rescue Remedy.
That was the quickest I ever got rid of them. They stayed gone for almost 3 days; then I started getting some faint palps and I did the routine again. Again they went away.
Tonight I got palps and went through the routine again… again they went away.
THEN I joined this forum and started reading and reading and reading….. THAT is when I realized that I was an idiot!
I hope I didn’t write too much.
Peace.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Yes another problem with multiple remedies is that you have no idea which one is helping you.

I might suggest doing what I would do as a practitioner - try each one separately. Since it appears to take 2 hours to feel full relief, put a 2 hour gap between taking each one.

The risk I suppose in carrying on with using all these remedies is that if you DO get some kind of negative reaction, you also won't know which medicine is doing it.

I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. There is a lot of misinformation out there about homoeopathy, which I also suppose testifies to how much people WANT to use it.

Once you know which remedy is helping, it is then easier to manage your problem long term (moving to intercurrents, complementary remedies, higher potencies etc).
