cigarettes and homeopathy?

My husband is severely depressed at the moment and he is a heavy cigarette smoker. Is it possible that a homeopathic remedy for his depression would be effective while he is still smoking? (He is adamant that he can't stop smoking)Any help would be much appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The effectiveness of the remedy he is taking is bound to diminish due to his heavy cigarette smoking. The vital force chases such stimulants and ignores the stimulation offered by the remedy.

You state:

'My husband is severely depressed at the moment and he is a heavy cigarette smoker. Is it possible that a homeopathic remedy for his depression would be effective while he is still smoking? (He is adamant that he can't stop smoking)'

A remedy that I discovered which has helped many chronic smokers to QUIT is:

Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily for a week and reduced to twice daily thereafter.

Arnica seems to work by reducing that urge for that next cigarette and this is usually felt in 2-3 days by the smoker. It will require some will power on his part to quit smoking but with your help I feel confident that you can help him to QUIT in a few weeks.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done at least 6 times before sipping a capful of the bottle as prescribed.

Please report his response in a week.

To: kadwa - thank you for your response. Can you please explain what you mean by 'the vital force' chasing the stimulant of cigarettes rather than the remedy?
(I'm still learning about homeopathy) thanks.

I have made many cures from smokers with homeopathy, though many of them decrease or stop smoking after the remedy has improved or cured their condition.

I would never hesitate to treat a smoker.

To Jewish Homeopath - thank you for your reply, it's good to know that.

He currently takes antidepressants but they aren't doing anything for him.

I was thinking of Aurum M to shake him out of his suicidal tendancies. What do you think?

My husband is very depressed, anxious and has suicidal thoughts. He lives in the past and has always been very angry and very conscious of what he thinks others may think of him.

We are seperated but we stay in touch. He rings me regularly and is always asking me to go back to him. He can't accept that it is not going to happen. I often feel sad after speaking to him. Please help.

You need to answer the patient form for someone to help you identify the remedy.

In a serious case like this, the medicine should be identified very carefully. Symptoms of this kind have been cured by many different homeopathic medicines.

I would never start a case, especially a serious one on an M. If using the C potency, I usually start with a 30c.

You must very carefully find the correct medicine in a case such as this.

I would never start with an M.

If there is any doubt, start with a 30c.

Hello Jewish Homeopath,
I didn't mean the M dose, rather, I should have written Aurum Metallicum. Thanks, I'll complete the patient form.

Yes I agree, someone needs to supervise treatment of such a case. Suicidal feelings are very serious, and you must be very careful not to suppress or aggravate the state. Any mental health case where the patient may harm themselves or may harm others, should not be treated with extreme caution.
