puppy needs help

This question is about a male puppy, around 3 and 1/2 months old. Last Thursday (27/1/11) he met with some accident which resulted in his right fore paw being badly injured. I saw him about 4-5 hours after his accident. I'll first describe the wound:
1. The injury is from his wrist downwards.
2. A thick layer of skin (including tendons/ligaments) had peeled off from over the paw and hang loose. This hanging flesh had also taken off part of two of his fingers and a nail.
2. The wound had bled profusely, it was bleeding even when I saw him after about 4 hours.

The little puppy was in extreme pain.I tried to flush the wound with normal saline. Then I applied a few drops of Calendula Q (hope this wasn't wrong) on the wound and let it dry for sometime.I tied up the wound after applying Himax ointment (an ayurvedic antiseptic ointment).
I do not know homoeopathic remedies and usually go about on the advice of a fellow animal lover who has studied homoeopathy by himself. He suggested that in such a serious wound, homoeopathy won't be appropriate. So,on the recommendation of a vet,I gave him:
1. dicynine injection to stop bleeding
2. antibiotic taxim-o (cefixime).
I had left the antibiotic with local people to give it to him mixed with food twice daily which they hadn't done.

Day2: I gave him his antibiotic (dose in the morning was missed). I tried opening the bandage, but it was stuck. However, the pup slowly licked off the dressing. There was a smell of decaying flesh, probably from the hanging flesh. The pup tried to bite off the loose skin together with his fingers. I once again wrapped up the wound after generously covering it up with soframycin.

I SUSPECTED that there must have been injury and fracture to his fingers. So my homoeopathic advisor told me to give him Symphytum 30 (a drop in a little water from which 1/3rd of the solution was given). Ate some biscuits

Day3: Morning--Symphytum 30, antibiotic repeated. Vet cut off the loose skin and dressed the wound with betadine.

evening: antibiotic repeated. The puppy had reduced appetite. He refused to stay tied up and was preferred to be with his mom and siblings.

Day 4: Morning--Refused to eat anything that I offered, was a little dehydrated.
I was scheduled to be away for 2 days (Sunday and Monday). I asked the local people to give him some rice with fish which he might like and then the antibiotic.

I was away for the rest of the day.
Day 5: Absent

Day 6(today):I saw him today in the morning. The people HAD NOT given him food or antibiotic. He had been seen sometimes with his mom and friends.
Gave him his antibiotic.
The bandage was still there, but it stank.
The local people said that the momma dog brings food for her pups. This puppy had definitely grown thinner but he wasn't very dehydrated. However, his appetite was very poor and refused all food (due to antibiotics?).

Took him to the vet for dressing:
1. After opening, wound didn't stink (the bandage stank)
2. It was red in some parts, white in few parts also. Forgot to mention, there was blue colouration in the wound from day 2 like we have when we are hit by some blunt object. Once he scratched the wound with another paw and it bled.
3. The wound is NOT oozing a lot.

The vet has tied up the wound and asked me to change day after tomorrow if it stays clean. She also said that since the antibiotics were irregular the full course of antibiotics should be started again.
I gave him Symphytum again today.
He whines in pain when the wound is rubbed or if it is pressed lightly (cried during dressing, it hurt him a lot)

Can you please suggest if there are homoeopathic remedies for this puppy? Should I start the antibiotics again? I am worried about this because they are making him weak but the course of antibiotics should be completed too. But I am confused and need your advice.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give him the following remedies..
ledum 200
calendula 200

in the morning and evening daily irrespective of whether you give him the antibiotic course.

Give the medicines in the same way you gave Symphytum 30. Keep a gap of 15-30 minutes between the remedies.

Should I continue antibiotics and symphytum.

Thanks a lot, homeopatient001, hope your good wishes will pull the puppy through. Can anyone please clarify about the antibiotics, continuation of symphytum and the issue about his appetite.
Note: I am waiting for your reply and haven't given antibiotics after yesterday morning.

continuation of symphytum
it can be continued

appetite should improve as the wound heals
