My antisocial mother

Ever since my father passed away 14 years ago, my mother has gone into her shell. She has become anti-social, insecure, and preoccupied with negative thoughts. She tends to blame everyone else for everything that has gone wrong in her life and defends her opinions very strongly. She's a hoarder. She stores all the disposable things in her room and convinces me it's useful and important. She hasn't thrown away anything she bought in the last 14 years.

6 months ago, her younger sister passed away. Ever since then, she spends most of her time locked up in her room. She complains about feeling sick and tired all the time.

She's taking Ayurvedic medicines for sugar disease.

Her information:
age: 58
weight: 155
height: 5'3'

APPEARANCE: fair complexion and fat, prominent dark circles

MENTAL STATE: absent-minded, feels frustrated; not interested in anything, irritable, moody, short-tempered, restlessness, pre-occupation with negative thoughts, obsesses about her past (bad/traumatic experiences); resentful and unable to forgive people from her past

RELATIONSHIP WITH FAMILY: aloof and has no friends; apathetic. unemotional. very reserved. cannot take criticizm; gets angry and starts crying, pre-occupied with negative thoughts, likes to talk about her bad experiences, gets restless/irritated when the other person tries to share anything, unconsciously over-controlling; never intends to

PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS: weak eyesight, feel very hungry and thirsty, craves oily food, finicky about everything, high blood pressure, arthiritis, headache mostly on the right side, gastric problem, urination tract problem/infection, wounds/infections don't heal, body swelling, feels tired all the time, some teeth have turned black/gray and other have turned yellow.

ENVIRONMENT: she likes warm surroundings, antisocial, but at the same time can't stay at home alone; feels restless

SWEAT: normal sweating

THIRST: unquenchable thirst; prefer warm drinks mainly tea

BOWEL MOVEMENT: normal

She feels better at noon. Symptoms worse when sitting down/resting

Hello Marya!
A homeopath medicine that can suit your mother, Ignatia amara. This medication is often used in such situations.
Have you noticed if she sighes a lot, takes deep breaths? Or maybe bite the inside of the cheek?

I do not think Calcarea is the right remedy at this time. Maybe later, but doubtful.

This is a strong indication of Ignatia.
I suggest you start with Ignatia 200C, also purchase Ignatia 1M.
But starting with the 200C. Give her a dose of this remedy, please contact me for further explanation when you purchased the medication.

Just to make it clear: Buy Ignatia 200C and 1M.

Is there anything new about your mother?
Have you tried this medication I suggested.

Sorry Doctor!
Initially she said she would try taking medication, but now she's refusing to. She's in denial that anything is wrong with her. I'm trying to convince her.

Hello Dr. Parakletos,

She finally took the medicine and I noticed that she sighs very less these days. I have seen improvement in moods as well. She has started talking to her family again. Although she still spends most of the time locked up in her room. She complains about feeling tired all the time (but I'm not sure if these things are related to one another)

Pls. tell me what I should do next?

Thank you so much for your advice!

regards.

Good to hear that your mother agreed to try homeopathy.
I'm pretty sure Ignatia is the right medicine, and it seems as if it has already begun to work. What you must do is to notice / ask, if there is any change. Especially notice her mood.

It may be that she needs another drug later called Natrium Muriaticum. But we are going for Ignatia first.

Do you notice that she goes back to the way she was, or there is no progress, you must give her a second dose of Ignatia 200C. You can give the 200C 3 times, after that you must use the 1M.

Give the medicine in water, then it works even better.
Just ask if there are any questions.

Sincerely Parakletos; Practitioner of Classical Homeopathy.
