Let me tell you in the first place that what ever you are trying to do with self mediciation is serious business.

Let me explain this for your sake and for the sake of others who are going to read this.

"RETINA" is the screen inside the eye on which all images are formed after the rays tevel through the eye lens.

There are nerves connected to the Retina which translate these images to the Brain.

Surrounding the Retina are a number of blood vessels......ones bringing the blood to the Eye/Retina and the others taking away the blood from the eye/Retina.

All this is inside the eye chamber. When you go to an eye specialist, he points a torch beam inside the eye chamber through the eye lens and examines with his own eyes the state ofthe Retina, blood vessels ,optic nerve etc. (you may have noticed, the eye specialist brings his face very close to the face of the patient to do so).

The blood vessel ruptures essentially due to hypertension.

If it has happened in the eye, be grateful to GOD that it happened in the eye chamber and not the brain.
In the brain the process would/could have been fatal to life.

The blood splashes around in the eye chamber and can leave blood spots on the retina causing spots before the field of vision. It can cause more damage also as already some of the posts on this subject are mentioning, including your own.

HOMEOPATHY

The appropriate medicine for this is LACHESIS in 200 c or higher potency. NOT TO BE ADMINISTERED FREQUENTLY....maximum three doses in two days and then stop for 10 days. Some times one dose is enough.

It does the following:

Brings down the blood pressure

Stops the bleeding

Helps to re-absorbs the splashed blood.

However , some blood will clot on the RETINA or on the sides of the Retina......thsi is removed by allopathic doctors successfully through LASER treatment.

Make sure the Blood Pressure of the patient is with in controlled limits. Otherwise, there is danger of it happening again.

Another medicine that completes the work done by LACHESIS is Crotolus Hor.

Other medicines of help are:

1. PHOSPHORUS
2. PLUMBUM MET
3. GELSEMIUM
4. OSMIUM (SPECIALLY WHEN OCCULAR PRESSURE IS HIGH).

However, re-absorbtion of blood is primarily done by LACHESIS.

I strongly recommend that you seek the assistance of a good, experienced homeopath in this matter and donot take up self medication on your own as the matter is quite serious and needs expert attention.

wish you good luck

Thank you Anon, John and Pankaj:
As this is a very serious matter all advice is very much appreciated. As Pankaj wrote:

"I strongly recommend that you seek the assistance of a good, experienced homeopath in this matter and do not take up self medication on your own as the matter is quite serious and needs expert attention."

And I agree. Anon?

Lachesis is a left side remedy, crot-h (which has similar action)is right going to left-as happened in anon's case- that's why crot-h
was chosen over lachesis. Also anon's reaction is pretty strong, even 30 causes aggravations. 200c would be too strong.

Detached retina was cured by Gels/phos (by me? no-by the patient's body) - it would be the next step-first is stopping hemorrhage and absorption of blood and for that were chosen:
HAMAMELIS
SAL-AC
CROT-H
NUX-V
PHOSPHORUS

So many remedies because I feel unable to pick just one online when time is pressing. Each one of these remedies has intraocular (or even retinal) re-absorption of blood.Additionaly sal-ac and nux v. have causation (flu/aspirin overdose or stress/chemicals)crot-h has sides and not wearing tight clothes (really silly "symptom" but anon actually has no other disease symptom)
phosp-chilly person who likes cold drinks when thrsty.

(I will check osm and plb)

anon-although in the graduate school I specialized in microbiology my college major was biology - and the full section was devoted to vitamins
- I really know them well (and I even know eye's anatomy and physiology) - vit c does not thin blood even if you take twice 1000mg!
I live in PA -US so it is est-but always write yours

Do you still have aggravation after crot-h? Does palming/rest help?

Astra2012 last decade
Just wanted to add: natural sources of vitamins are definitely the best: if you eat lots of fruit/veggies you do not need to increase supplements of vit C.
vit B12 you need since you are vegetarian

Thank you Dr. Pankaj Varma

Thanks A

Back on vit c. agg still there, lying down seems to make it worse. blood pressure 110/70 to120/80. if the blood pressure is diffrent during stress-have no idea. have no lachesis.

Hello anon,
lachesis is a snake venom like crrot-h - their actions are similar, only lachesis is a left-sided remedy and crot-h is first right, like in your case.
Correct me Pankaj if I'm wrong, but there is very little chance that lach will work if crot-h didn't.lachesis antidotes crot-h.

We keep saying that remedies work etc because it is easier to talk that way but the fact is that your own body does all the healing-so it should be well nourished and relaxed (and for eyes there is no better way than palming)-and the right remedy should make your own vital force "rise to the task".(as it "slept at the wheel" and let this happen).

Do you have lower potencies of nux or phos? Usually I like 30c but maybe you want to consider 12c? Or
Lachesis -if you want to try antidoting with it-in 12c-30c?

Please palm.

Astra2012 last decade
I believe phosphorus is most promising now-it is aggravated when lying down-so maybe you'll try it now skipping nux (it can always be tried later if phosh fails)?
(If you have dry 30c take only one pellet please). If it is your remedy it would take care of the aggravations?

Anon: when you palm can you "see" a total darkness?

Astra2012 last decade
Hello A

not when there is daylight or artificial light present.

got lach, nux and phos all in 30c liquid now, have not used any yet.

Thanks

Please do not write "thanks" and "hello" consider it done-save your eyes.

PALMING is really the best you can do to relax/heal your eyes, especially retina.(according to many people, not just me, some were legally blind - ophthalmologist
dr Bates first introduced it in 1920s.

your CLOSED eyes should be covered (not touching)additionaly by palms (fingers are overlapping above your nose)-it shouldn't matter if there's light outside or not-you strive for a total darkness there-it will take the retina some time to relax (and stop discharging light). You shouldn't see outside light -all light comes from retina.
It's really important that you do it continuously even for few hours -especially now. Support your hand with pillows-they get tired fast.

PALMING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR EYES!

Strive for total blackness-imagine it if you can't see it.

Homeopathically: I wish Pankaj answered my doubts-I doubt if Lachesis will work any differently than crot-h, it will antidote it though.
nux acts shortest of them all-you may just want to try it -but now it seems to me that phosphorus is most promising.

seems now that it will be up to you-you can try any of the 3 or you may choose to wait a bit longer (it's never too long in homeopathy, only not long enough).

Palm and think it over (ask me any question).
Whichever you choose take only one dose.

Astra2012 last decade
As long as you see light through your cllosed eyelids and palms (=from retina) your retina is sick.
Stay with it.

Astra2012 last decade
Phos dose been taken now

anon last decade
OK. Please do the palming-when you are able to "see" (through closed eyelids and palms) the darkness-your retina is on its way to be healed. It's really important.

Astra2012 last decade
i been doing too many palm repeatitions, each of a very short duration.

should they be only a few, each of a much longer duration?

anon last decade
As phosphorus is a deeply and long acting remedy it should now be left undisturbed for at least a month--so we may puut homeopathy aside for a while and take care of palming as I really think IT IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT FOR YOUR RETINA THAN REMEDIES!.

MAKE SURE NO OUTSIDE LIGHT GOES INTO YOUR EYES - cover your eyes tightly with palms (fingers overlap above the nose))- when you make the cover as light-tight as possible, close your eyes.

Healthy retina will "see" blackness after 5-10-15 minutes. Retina that starts detaching may even take an hour-but when it does it is on its way to healing and next day it will take less time. Your retina may take long- but you have to keep on!
It is better to palm for 2 hrs once than twice an hour/day. The longer the better.
It's also better to palm for 5 minutes than not at all.

Strive to "see" total darkness.

a bare minimal dose was taken, a minor agg was noticed on 26th, and a much stronger agg on 27th. both eyes are affected, but more sensation is felt in the right eye-a bit off the center. understand the palming procedure better now.

anon last decade
palming for hrs at a time i find very difficult-almost impossible.

is palming a must? or some other means-like completly black glasses can also be used to block the outside light.

anon last decade
Anon-palming IS VERY BENEFICIAL FOR THE RETINA.
Actually it is the best way to bring healing to it.
Of course it is exclusively up to you how long (or even whether ) you do it.
Unfortunately wearing dark glasses will not do - eyes have to be covered by palms.
I told you at the beginning it is boring and time-consuming but it is really the best way to heal your retina. I'm sure about that(have seen some miracles it does).

I'm going to start a new thread that will be continuation of that one. Topic will be ANON
