Dear Joe De Livera regarding Nat phos 6x

I note that you are already aware of the therapy I have prescribed to many who are overweight but I shall copy my therapy aka 'Joepathy' below:

The remedy you will use is Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets taken immediately after each of 3 meals daily.

You should observe a drop in your weight by at least 1kg per week. You should also observe that your bowel movements will regularize to a daily routine.

You can also take Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.


The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

Exercise is also essential for at least 45 minutes daily and you must sweat it out.
Drink at least 3 ltrs of liquids, preferably water daily.

'Do I need to take the wet dose of arnica 30c?'

Have you any problem with taking the Arnica 30c as prescribed?

My default therapy for weight loss comprises the 2 remedies I have prescribed.

If as you state, you will not be able to use both when away from home, you can use the Nat Phos alone and start on the Arnica when you return.

Arnica seems to help in the process of weight reduction in some mysterious manner perhaps by ensuring deep sleep which also helps in the process of reducing weight which as you perhaps are aware is not easy to do successfully and safely.

Hi Joe, I've never posted to you before but I tried Nat Phos 6x for weight loss, but it made me menstruate very early! my period finished on 30th august and after taking the remedy this week, my period started coming again today. it's very strange and i looked up the properties of the remedy which suggested Female; Menses too early; pale, thin, watery. this is exactly what i have. any suggestions?

Could be a proving symptom (what orthodox medicine calls a side effect). Homoeopathy is built on the principle of Like cures Like - what a substance can cause it can cure, so if there is no symptom to cure, it will cause it instead.

Weren't you feeling quite well on the Sepia though?

It went well David. The cyst has started going down again. But I have my wedding in december and am trying every possible thing that i can think of to lose weight in order to tone up. is nat phos not a good idea? i've been reading a lot about it and it seems to be giving good results for people. or would sepia allow me to lose weight quickly?

If I'm having this kind of reaction I think I shouldn't take it or anything else unless u subscribe it to me, David. I'm sorry! I thought that since nat phos was working for so many others that it might do the same for me, and since it was only a 6x potency, it shouldn't be a biggie. obviously not :(

There are only two ways our medicines create effects.

One is to create the same state, via the Law of Similars, which cures the problem you have. This is homoeopathy.

The other, is to create a proving symptom like a poisoning, in order to force some effect on the body or to directly counter some opposite symptom. This is how orthodox medicine works and is not homoeopathy.

The only way Nat-phos will safely help you lose weight is if it is curing the disease that is causing you to gain weight.

So there are several questions that need to be answered.

1. Do you have a disease that is causing weight gain?

2. Does Nat-phos suit your general state/problems?

If the answer is no to both of these, then taking Nat-phos will not genuninely help you. What it may do is not predictable, although as you can see it can produce unwanted effects, just as orthodox medicine does.

Of our medicines, or any medicine, can be used according to different goals and methods. When judged according to the standards of homoeopathy most of those goals and methods fall short of genuine cure.

Medicines can only cure disease. That is what they do, and genuine cure can only come if they use the Law of Similars.

If you need to lose weight,I hate to say it but diet and exercise is the only reliable and safe way to do that. Failing that, more dangerous methods include drugs, herbs and surgery (as you know of course).

Homoeopathy only works within the laws of nature to create good health. A few kilos of unhealthy weight can often be seen to be lost when the simillimum is prescribed. In my experience maybe 2-3 for some people. However past that, the natural body functions for losing weight must be brought into play - just as homoeopathy cannot lengthen your bones as an adult, grow muscle without using them, or give you a tan without going into the sun, it cannot force your body to lose weight unless your food intake is reduced and your metabolism is greatly heightened through exertion.

thanks so much, David. that really helps me a lot and makes me realise what a dummy I've been and I shouldn't mess with homoeopathy!

so, is there any way that I can antidote the nat phos? would coffee or mint do the trick? or would I just have to sit it out and wait for it to leave my system? and...in that case, will i need to do another dose of Sepia after the nat phos goes away?

It should wear off on its own - 6x is quite low and not too deep acting. I would only repeat the Sepia if you need it (symptoms come back in any form).

Glad to know that you are back from the UK.

I decided that Aoncel is just not worth wasting my time over as she seems to be involved in her own business undertakings and seems to be taking out her frustration on me as I did not meekly respond to all her questions which she formulated to further question the therapy for weight reduction which I had prescribed and which is the default therapy I have prescribed to hundreds of other patients who have confirmed the reduction of their weight on this forum and on my website.

I felt strongly that it was time that she was informed that the consultants on this forum are available to help anyone within reason. I felt she was testing my patience by posing further questions even without using my therapy which I had prescribed 2 months ago and I decided to call it quits.

I also copied it on my website and on 3 other Homeo Forums that I visit. Google has also listed it yesterday on their Google Alerts on Homeopathy.

This has resulted in over 25 emails which I received today from across the world especially from Pakistan where Dengue is also at epidemic proportions but at a lower intensity to Sri Lanka. There seems to be some reluctance on the part of the doctors to use the Homeopathic cure but this seems to have been partially overcome as some hospitals are already using the Homeopathic remedy to treat their patients. Many have sought more information on my Wet dose method which I found brought about a 100% rate of cure as long as the patient was not at the terminal stage with very low Platelet count.

Here in Sri Lanka doctors who were present at a conference held about a month ago which I was invited to address admitted that they do not have any drug or other protocol to treat Dengue but they still refuse to use Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200 in the Wet dose which virtually guarantees a cure and that within usually 4-6 hours.

I am trying hard to persuade the doctors to lay their petty prejudice against Homeopathy aside and use the remedy which I offered to medicate before their eyes and to use it and at least have the satisfaction of reporting to me that it did not work if it did not. Two of them told me off the record that if they consented to using it, they would lose their license. I countered their statement by questioning whether they were in medicine to Heal or to only use Drugs which they were fully aware were totally ineffective, to cure Dengue. Did they prefer to let patients die purely to satisfy their superiors and Big Pharma?

I had already given medicated bottles of the remedy to 6 other private doctors who all confirmed that it was indeed a magical remedy but they could not officially proclaim that it was effective for obvious reasons. They did however continue to dispense my remedy to all their patients whom they suspected to be infected with Dengue and a few called me for refills. A 500ml bottle of Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200 was good for over 25 patients and they did admit that there was no drug that could possibly equate this magic cure.

This report carried in the Daily News which is a government owned Newspaper yesterday, was a clear answer to their refusal to use Homeopathy to arrest the spread of Dengue which is costing too many lives with over 200 fatalities this year alone.

It is my hope that some positive results will follow my campaign to help eradicate Dengue from Sri Lanka as I was just informed that the government is following up my report on the CURE for Dengue I offered.
