Toddler issues
I have a 3 year old boy who is very active, and recently defiant. I read through the CINA child and it fit him well. I gave him CINA 30ch and the change was incredible! However after a few days it seem to wear off - so I tried 200ch - that seem to just agravate him. Not sure what I did wrong. Please guide...fayth on 2011-09-06
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
There are two possibilities here.
One is that you have not persisted with the 30c until the end of its usefulness. Moving from the correct potency to the wrong one will either do nothing, or it will undo the good work the first potency did. Every patient has a correct potency as well as a correct medicine, and both aspects need to be properly chosen.
The other, is that Cina is only a partial similar (partial fit). In such cases moving up to higher potencies fails as the choice must be more precise the higher up you go. High potencies must be very accurate prescriptions, whereas low potencies do not need to be so accurate to have benefits.
First thing to do is to eliminate the first possibility. To repeat a homoeopathic remedy, it is important to follow the process of Split Dosing.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPLIT DOSING
Firstly, you need to create a separate dosing bottle. Get a bottle with a dropper, 15-30mls in size, and fill it with a mixture of water and alcohol (5 parts to 1 part). Dissolve 2-4 granules into this mixture. Your doses will be made from this bottle.
Hit the bottle firmly against the palm of your hand, or another elastic surface like a book. It should be a firm hit not a tap. 2 hits is enough to begin with, and should not be increased unless it is clear that it is needed. The water in this bottle will 'remember' the number of times you have hit it, so that subsequent doses will be stronger (necessary to overcoming the resistance of your disease).
Place 1 drop into an amount of water - I may start with anything from 1/4-1 full cup (62ml-250ml) depending on the sensitivity of the patient. Stir thoroughly and take 1 teaspoon into the mouth. Throw the rest of the cup away.
This is one dose. Repeat doses would be started from the 2 hits on the bottle.
Each step of this process can be adjusted to reduced aggravation or to increase the effect of the medicine. In order to be able to do this, it is important to measure each step (count the hits, the drops, measure the water etc).
I would start with 1/4 cup, and repeat the remedy no more than 3 times, once a day over 3 days. Let me know what happens.
