Severe hyperventilation from hunger

Hi all. I've been struggling with problems before and fell alittle short in providing proper guidance for the homeopaths here, but I hope this time I get it right because this problem is debilitating.

For some time, at least 5 years if not 10, I've noticed that when I go too long, I hyperventilate. I feel this gas pressure pushing up and it forces me to gasp for air.

This problem has gotten exponentially worse as I suffer from this cold, which will not go away. It gets so bad that my left hand, feet, nose, eyes and mouth start to go numb. The answer is to eat, and it must be solid. Sandwiches buy me a little time to get something heavier. Drinks do nothing. Fruits and vegetables almost make it worse. It MUST be a warm protein: chicken or beef.

It is made worse by 3 clear things: morning through afternoon are the worst time of day, although it can happen at night. It's 8:14 pm and I'm dealing with it. But if I am late to breakfast, it kicks in. By lunch, I am dying for food.

The second trigger is mental exertion, ESPECIALLY on the computer. I sat down at the computer this afternoon at 1 pm spent maybe 15 minutes working. I was shaking and gasping for air in minutes.

The third trigger is driving. Getting into my car to go get food can be excruciatingly difficult and I gasp for air right up to the counter wherever I am getting food. I hyperventilate while riding, too. WHen my mother took me to the hospital, she could hear me hyperventilating and kept saying to stop it. I replied I wished I could.

ALso, I've noticed this problem gets worse in the fall and when exposed to cold air. Air conditioning is murder on me, and here we are in the fall.

NOTHING alleviates it but food. I've tried Rescue Remedy, it lasts for all of 1 second. Ignatia did nothing. The problem has been bad, but with this cold, it is OUT of control, leaving me hyperventilating so badly my face went numb and I nearly had to pull the car over.

Here's the thing: my blood sugar is normal. I managed to test it today during a severe attack. I'm sweating, hot, my lips are numb, and my blood glucose is 103. My A1c tested at 5.3, well below risk. My thyroid is normal. Everything has been tested as normal with one exception: testosterone. My testosterone is about 203, well below the 241 minimum.

My sister insisted it's anxiety attack and gave me a Xanax. So I took it to quiet her. I fell asleep for four hours, work up hungry, and was hyperventilating within minutes. So much for Xanax.

I can't take this any more. There is nothing physically wrong me with and even Xanax failed.

Please help. I'm at my wits end.

Worms?? That's a new one.

Is there a non-allopathic remedy? I'm not sure I can convince my doctor to prescribe it.

So does anyone else have a thought on this?

Once again, I was hit with it as soon as I got into my car and drove today. It took a good hour to come down once I got home.

Now, I've been a few hours without eating, and it's hitting me again. What set it off was when I fired up a videogame I like. The game tends to arouse some excitement. So like driving, it seems the least amount of excitement sets me off.

This is endemic of my cold. I had this condition prior to the cold but it was much more manageable and I could sort-of fight it off. My cold has worsened it because it weakened whatever resistences I had to the problem.

I have repeatedly tested my blood sugar. It is always within normal ranges.

I have repeatedly checked my blood pressure. It's 125/83, give or take a few, with a pulse in the low 90s.

There's nothing physically wrong with me that I can find, and doctors have searched for.

Ignatia, Arsenicum, Gelsemium and Argentum have all failed me. I sure hope someone here can help.

It is too soon you are trying to jump out of a veteran doctor who prescribed you.

Your comment about worms, with many question marks shows your ignorance.

Search for 'Hulda clark cure for all diseases' This book is available for free, in pdf format and she explains why worms is the cause of every diseases and how her simple worm comination could cure every disease in the world.

I know my few friends who use her Zapper to get rid of fever and cold, with no other medicine

We have to appreciate Dr. Sharma for trying every tool available to help patients in the fastest possible means.

You can wait for other prescribers to rescue you.

This is an interesting problem and I would like to take a long shot aka 'Joepathy' at a cure.

The remedies are:
Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets taken after each of 3 meals daily
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

It is possible that this patient suffers from some form of hunger pains for which he will have to eat some food preferably not meat and other protein in between meals to keep his stomach from digesting itself. A biscuit or some fruit is indicated and this must be eaten often to ensure that he never feels hungry. It is possible that he suffers from excess production of Gastric juice which is released in the stomach as soon as he feels hungry and this proceeds to digest the mucous in the stomach and when it reaches the stomach wall he hyperventilates from hunger as reported.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

High, thanks for your post. I was amazed to find someone with almost the exact same set of weird symptoms as myself, even down to the low testosterone.

My doctor treated me with natural substances (DGL and others) as if it was gastritis or an ulcer, which seems to have helped, but not completely cured this.

I have had so many of the same symptoms. Definitely the symptoms with hunger. And sometimes Tums relieves it as well as eating something.

Also, when it was worst, just trying to concentrate to type an email at work would set it off badly, as would trying to watch a movie - which surprised me, since something relaxing like that should help when I'm sick. It was like the act of mental focus sets it off.

I would love to know if you have found any approaches, homeopathic or otherwise, that has helped or cured you. I would be grateful for any information to help relieve this.

Robert

I shall copy my default therapy for GERD and you can report your response in a week.

It is very likely that you suffer from Hyperacidity or Gastritis, aka GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease) and I shall copy my default therapy that has helped hundreds of patients to overcome this disease for which doctors usually prescribe PPI (Proton Pump Inhibitor) drugs which are dangerous and can cause many other more serious problem when used in the long term.

You will hopefully discover that my therapy aka 'Joepathy' will help you within the hour after you have taken your first dose after a meal.

The remedies you will order are as follows:

Nat Phos 6x dose 3-4 tablets taken immediately after each of 2 meals
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

Please observe the following simple rules:

Do not eat large meals. Eat small meals but more often if you feel hungry. Do not drink more that a few sips of water after your meals. This is to prevent the further dilution of your gastric juice which can then reflux into your Esophagus which results in GERD.

It is important that you do not go to bed for at least 2 hours after dinner as food will take about this time to digest and it is best to stay awake and upright to enable your food to digest before going to bed.

No fatty food, alcohol, coffee, preserved meats like sausages, ham, bacon as they contain Saltpeter which will antidote the remedies listed immediately.

If you suffer from a stomach ache or you feel your stomach puffing up before a meal during the day between meals, this is usually due to hunger pains, caused by your gastric juices attacking the inner lining and the wall of your stomach. The simple remedy is to eat some food like a biscuit or a banana between meals to keep the gastric juice away from digesting the stomach wall which results in a stomach ache which in some cases can be acute.

You must drink at least 3 liters of liquids, preferably water daily and you must also exercise for at least half hour daily. It is important to sweat it out as this is all part of my therapy to overcome GERD.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Liquid Alcohol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.

It is understood that the patient will stop all other drugs which s/he may be taking for this ailment.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for your kind reply to my post. I had a couple of quick questions and comments:

Questions:
I'm supposed to take the Nat Phos 6x after each of 2 meals. Does it matter which two meals?

The Arnica 30 wet dose is to be taken twice daily. Are there specified times for this or relation to before or after specific meals, etc.?

Do you know where I can order 5ml Liquid Pack of Arnica 30 from? I think my health food stores locally only carry dry pills.

Comments:
Regarding my symptoms, it is not really classic hyperventilating, in terms of breathing fast and heavy, but it is more a feeling of intense 'air hunger', that I can't get a good breath, which is strongly correlated with hunger. However, there are times when I'm hungry when I don't have it, as well as times when I'm full when I do, but the strong tendency is for a correlation with hunger. I don't have strong classic symptoms of heartburn, but more a sort of gnawing feeling in my solar plexus area or sometimes pains in my upper back, when I'm hungry.

I'm already following most of the other suggestions fairly closely, but I think I will increase my exercise soon, even though I'm already at about 30 minutes per day.

The in between snacks help quite a lot. What helps me a lot for these snacks in include dried figs, and/or bananas, and/or frozen sweet black cherries.

Thanks again for your advice and help on this, and I do plan to try your remedy.

Thanks!

You will take the Nat Phos tablets after both lunch and dinner.

Arnica is best taken on an empty stomach in the morning and last thing at night.

You may order from the ABC store
