help

I was prescribed ignatia for tics and ocd. It worked but now usually when I have tics and ocd I have thesehulk like anger spells instead where I just want to scream arghhh. Its instead of my original symtpms. My homeopath thinks this is a good sign however I'm freaked out.what does this mean.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Do you mean your tics and ocd disappeared, and instead you have fits of anger?

Did you ever have such anger in the past?

How long since you last took Ignatia?

What potency and how many doses did you take?

No I never had anger spells like that before. Yes the anger is instead of my symptoms. Usually tics and ocd are worst in the morning. Now instead I feel angry and better. Its not just anger though I want to like pound the ground too but after I feel better. It replaces my original symptoms. I took ignatia 30c after the 200c wore off. Also after things where off I feel worse than I originally did.

So you feel worse now than you did before?

I think you may have had your symptoms suppressed - driven deeper in. This is a problem, not a good sign at all.

However, it is important to understand the timeline here. When did you take the Ignatia, how long for, how long has it been?

When did things change, on which potency?

No my original symptoms are better. Instead of having ticsband ocd I have anger. I took 30c of ignatia yesterday. When my ticss and ocd come back the anger goes away when I take the ignatia the tics and ocd go away and the anger comes inteadi

No I meant you are worse - you the person. Anger is higher up in the hierarchy of symptoms than tics are. If a local symptom (tics) disappears and a new symptom appears higher up the hierarchy (anger) then this is considered the wrong direction. It the tics were being actually cured, they should be replaced by a symptom that is lower down the ladder of importance.

Direction of Cure, and Hierarchy of Symptoms, is how we tell the difference between a good and a bad remedy.

I would ask your homoeopath why she thinks it is a good sign, especially when it appears to go against our homoeopathic understanding of proper direction of healing.

Apart from that, a new symptom is never a good sign - if the anger was an old symptom, something that used to be there before the tics and ocd, then yes this would be a good sign. However as a new problem, it is almost certainly a sign of suppression. Suppression is not good, and in fact can be dangerous if it is continued.

Your homoeopath needs to explain this better to you as well, and certainly needs to justify what she is doing. Feel free to bring her explaination back to the forum if you don't understand it.

But they haven't disappeared have they. You have to keep taking the Ignatia or they come back. This is a sign of suppression.

Anger is not a negative emotion - it is just an emotion, a natural human one. Why would your body be 'getting rid' of it. Is anger a problem for you?

There are clear guidelines in homoeopathy to tell what reactions mean - yours would worry me, and I would be reassessing to find a better medicine.

The longer you need to use a remedy which is suppressing symptoms, the more likely they will become incurable.

well she said that a chronic condition wasnt going to disapear over night_ that it will take time and considering everytime that I take the remedy I feel overall better that I should continue. She explained that any type of emotion being released is a good sign.

Well if you have faith in your homoeopath then follow her advice. Time will tell if she is right.
