Vulva Itching

Hi

I have just joined the forum.

I have been suffering from Vulva itching for the past 9 years now. I have seen serveral homeopathic doctors but no-one has been able to cure my vula itching.

I have just changed homeopathic doctors and have been percribed with Graphites for the itching. The remedy helped a bit but the itching has been up and down.

I also suffer from Depression, Hayfever, Iritable Bowel Syndrome and Headaches/Migraines.

I wonder if someone can give me some advise on what to do.

Is the Graphites remedy the right remedy for the vula itching.

I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
this remedy will have been given to you for your other problems as well as your itching, so the homeopath will have found a good match for you I'm sure - but if you feel it is not helping much contact the homeopath and explain and they will be able to decide whether you need more graphites or another remedy.
how much graphites have yo taken and in which potency?
it is a good remedy for itches and the like

Hi Erika

Thanks for your reply.

The Homeopathy Doctor has given me Graphites 30c. She gave me three doses to take, one in the evening, one in the morning and the one in the evening again. It did help for a couple of days but then the itching came back again. I phone the doctor again and she prescribed me a another lot of Graphies 30c to take, I had to take it same as before, again it helped the itching a little bit but the itching has come back again.

Can you suggest anything.

I would really appreciate your help and advise.

Thank you

Hi Sheetie- Sounds like you may have Lichen Sclerosis. Many gyno's don't know any thing about this. I have it and I've been reading many websites about LS. Right now I'm trying Beta Glucan with 1-3,1-6,linkages and it's made from cell wall bakers yeast. Some one on this website mentioned the beta glucan so I bought some and have been using it for a month. I must say the itching has stopped and I feel normal again.Thank God!
Your symptoms: Have you ever noticed any white patches on your vulva? Do you constantly get vaginitis(yeast or bacterial?)? Is your vulva skin changing-shrinking or tearing?
Lichen Sclerosis is very hard to dectect even with a biospy. Also because many doctors are uneducated about LS. They say there is no cure. But since I've been taking Beta Glucan it seems like maybe there could be a cure.

Can someone help me? My doctor put me on Estriol Cream for vaginal dryness. After a week of use I began to have vulva itching. I thought I had a yeast infection but did not. I found out I was allergic to the alcohol in the cream. I stopped the cream but can not get rid of the itch. My doctor thinks there is no problem, but he is not the one itching. Can someone please help me?

sonny2005 last decade
Sonny - vaginal dryness is best treated with Natrum Mur , take a few doses of 30c potency - if that doesnt work up the potency to 1m.

In general Caladium or Kreos are the 2 best remedies for vaginal itching.

But the case that was worst for washing [water contact] would seem to refer to some sort of eczema. Have you had any eczema "" cured"" by orthodox drugs - this may be the cause.

walkin last decade
Hi Walkin

What is orthodox drugs? The itching is not Eczema, I have been tested for quite a lot of things but everything has always come back normal.

Someone said it could be a disease because the Vulva itching is worse before I start my periods and when I am on my periods. They said I could be allergic to my discharge and period.

The itching is also worse when I wash my Vulva it could be because I used a lot of Steriods and they have made the skin thin on the Vulva and damaged the skin. If I pull the skin it will tear thats how thin it has gone. When I put Hair Removal Cream on within a second the skin on the Vulva starts to burn and sting. When I take the cream of it takes the skin of and leaves the skin red, like I have burned it. I shave now because I can't use Hair Removal Cream.

I also suffer from Depression, Headaches/Migranies, Iritable Bowel Syndrome, Hayfever and Body Itching.

Pls advise.

Thank you

Itch is THE prime symptom of the miasmatic class of PSORA.

Psora includes all types of eczema .

But the migraine indicates pseudo psora .

Do you have a heart shaped face , long eyelashes and fine hair, - are you easily bored and ;ike to travel.

Are you tidy or untidy

Have you ever "" seen red""

Any auburn tints in the hair.

I see that you have not been able to cure your problem which you first posted last June.

May I suggest that you use Arnica 6c twice daily as I believe that it can help you ?

Arnica helps to increase the blood flow in the capillaries in the skin and I believe that it can help your itchiness in the sensitive areas of your body.

It may be taken quite safely for extended periods.

Please report response to this therapy after a week.

In case Arnica does not work, you may like to advise Sulphur 30C. A marked symptom of sulphur is aggravation of itching by wetting, whether it is due to bath or in connection with toilet or menses or wetting in any process.

Krishna

I was thinking of Sulphur but felt that the action of Arnica would help to increase the flow of blood in the skin and thereby build up the tissues that are very delicate and may have caused the problem.

I would prefer to stay with the Arnica for 2 weeks and add the Sulphur perhaps 1M taken weekly if the Arnica alone does not help.

What do you think ?

Joe De Livera last decade
Joe De Livera

That is a good idea but after Arnica I will suggest starting Sulphur with lower potency otherwise medicinal aggravation could force her to go to some allopathic ointment which, as you know, will create more problems than solve.

Sulphur will also cover the symptoms:(a)feels better while sitting(b)feels worse by warmth.

Sulphur will also take care of the miasm factor,if any, automatically.

At this stage to prescribe only on local symptoms,i dont thing will help, the symptoms she gave are only local symptoms, any body can please repertorize and post the repertorization chart for study. She mention the itching before menses, during menses and after menses but she did not gave the symptoms regarding her mensuration i.e,their time, colour consistency, her desire and aversion and others.JOE AND SAHAI,please ask for details, otherwise hit and trial method will take time to find the proper remedy. She got some relief with graphitis,i dont think graphitis has something to do with itching, caladium and croton are close, please consider them.Sorry i just interrupt you without any intention.

Sajjad,

I work with an Apple PowerBook while my Radar 9.1 is a PC based software. I use it only when I treat a difficult case as it takes time which I cannot afford and I cannot also transfer files from one format to the other to be able to post the result here.

I would also like to mention that I do not subscribe to the classical method of using Homeopathy as I have discovered that the allopathic approach used by me to identify remedies which I do by counting on the experience that I have in their usage which you term the ' hit and trial' method, is what I invariably use with successful results.

You are however welcome to use your software and recommend a remedy as I always welcome a second opinion as we are all here to help the patient who can use your remedy if mine does not help her.

Joe De Livera last decade
Dear joe,
Hit and trial method is getting popularity day by day because of the difficulties homeopath facing in clinical practice. To prescribe as allopath are doing is not a sin, classical homeopathy is only one way of prescribing not all. There are so many ways of finding out the correct remedy and all are successful.I know many a so called classical homeopath, mostly they face failure. That type of homeopathy is possible but difficult, for this purpose the patient and physician must be face to face and need many meetings, and in these days only a few can afford.Avery body is in hurry.
Regarding computer software, they are quite good and helpfull, they give you result right or wrong in minutes, but there is one major difficulty that patient never express in the language of repertory,u have to transform into repertory language, for this perpouse you need extra men to do that which in clinical practice is not possible for every one. That is enough from me for today,we will continue it.

I have just made a post on another similar problem which I shall copy below as it occurred to me that they may both be due to the same fungus.

I am copying this out of academic interest and the patient will have to be diagnosed correctly as to whether the causative factor is the same fungus.

Re: ringworm on vulva-help! From Joe De Livera on 2005-10-23

I have used Ars Alb 30c in the wet dose for Ringworm on the skin but I cannot be certain if it could help you where you have noticed it as it is usually damp.

Your toe nail fungus is also caused by the same fungus and should react positively to the remedy.

There is usually a delay of about a month or longer which this remedy takes to help to eradicate the fungus but in my experience it does so permanently.

Method to be followed to make the wet dose.

Get a 500ml bottle of spring water
Pour out 100ml
Put in 3 globules or 1 drop if you have the liquid remedy Ars Alb 30c.
Hit the bottle hard on your palm or a cushion and watch for the water to fizzle like when you open a bottle of soda. This is known as succussion and increases the potency of the remedy every time and this must be done before every dose
Sip a teaspoonful twice daily.

Report response in a few weeks.

Hi Everyone

Thank you all that replied to my email.

I really appreciate it.

I'm very confused on what Homeopathic remedy I should take. Pls can someone advise on what the best remedy is to take. I don't want to go round and round in circles, as I have been suffering for 10 years now and just want to be cured.

The question regarding my periods are that they last for about 4 days sometimes 5 but normally they finish after 4 days. My periods are not heavy they are medium. I don't really have much of a period. My periods do smell. I have to wash with Dettol when I am on my periods to soothe the itching.

Pls let me know if anyone would like any more information.

Fairly certain that the problem can be made better by using

Tuberculinum 1m - once a day for three days

and wait at least 23 weeks to judge results.

walkin last decade

Hello. I am very new to Homeopathy. I am presently seeing a Homeopath for my Candida. I couldn't believe it when I read what you wrote, Sheetie. I have been suffering from vulva itching for almost 2 years. I also notice that the itching is a lot worse a few days before my period starts & during my period. I also suffer vaginal dryness. This all seemed to happen after I gave birth to my second child 22 months ago. I have no idea what to do. My gynecologist doesn't really know why I am dry & itchy. She suggested that it could be hormonal.
