Breast oblong lump?

Hi,

I noticed a long, hard lump on the outer, lower side of my left breast few days ago.
As my period is due in a few days I am waiting for it to pass to make an appointment with my doctor.
The lump feels like it's movable but I can't be 100% sure.
I am 34, have been trying to conceive for 1 year and 9 months now. Was diagnosed with a 2.5 cm submucousal fibroid which was surgically removed this past August.
Other that that I was extremely stressed out starting last March till August because I haven't been able to get pregnant. I calmed down since then.
Obviously I do not know what this mass is but I want to see if it goes away after my period.
Can you help me?
Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for your quick reply.

Here are the answers:

Patient ID:
Sex: F
Age: 34

1. Describe your main suffering?
Smooth sort of gland on the outer/lower side of left breast, doesn't seem painful and it appeared before my period.
I had my neurologist friend touch it and she seems to think is just a gland but I am still scared.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Unexplained Infertility - no physical pain though, only psychological.
Also, apparently I still have a fibroid on the outer part of my uterus that I try not to think about but I am scared it's gonna grow bigger and wish I could shrink it somehow.
And have the small gland in my left breast, I am waiting for my period to come and praying that it will go away when my menses are done.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
Anxiety, sometimes a lot of anger for not being able to conceive and jealousy because other people have it easier (trying to work on it).

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
Extremely angry and desperate.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
I believe my anger made the fibroid grow in my uterus.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
Now I have all day anxiety because of the lump.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Thinking negative aggravates me. Thinking positive and stop obsessing makes me feel a little better.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
My menses do have psychological impact, last month I really thought was the month I got pregnant and when I got my menses I got extremely angry and desperate.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Hot weather, dry. In the winter I turn on a humidifier to keep my room warm and moist though.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
I am nervous, anxious, angry, jealous, easily offended sometimes quiet, sometimes irritable, impatient, at times moody (believe because of hormone changes).

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
Calm.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
YES.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
I am sensitive to smells, I like lights and quiet.

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
I used to bite my nails 20 years ago, not anymore. I have no bad habits (don't drink nor smoke, and don't drink coffee at all), I talk to myself sometimes to calm myself down if nobody around me is helping me. I sometimes cry but I have my reasons.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
I have few friends and I do not trust them. I have been wanting children for 15 years although I got married only almost 2 years ago. I love my husband but sometimes he doesn't understand me, especially when I get my menses and get upset.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
I used to dream of getting lost or getting into the elevator and the elevator wouldn't stop on my floor or my floor wouldn't exist anymore. I haven't had that nightmare in a while though.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
I have a lot of self control so I don't really crave anything - I love bread but I am limiting the consumption of white flour. I have a square of dark chocolate every once in a while maybe 2/3 times /week) and that's my worst habit.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
I drink mostly after my meals but I know I do not drink enough. My thirst hasn't changed.

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Since my anxiety started when I noticed the lump, less appetite but I know it's caused by my anxiety which closes my stomach down.

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?
I am not 100% sure but I believe I might be lactose intolerant so I cut out dairy products although I might have a dairy product once/month.

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
Sweat is normal, I sweat mostly in the armpits.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
I have a bowel movement 1/day - sometimes 2x day if I eat 2 big meals. Sometimes is soft sometimes harder, guess depending on what I eat.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
I like falling asleep on my right side, with my legs pulled up close to my stomach (especially when it's cold out) - but during the night I move, I sleep on my back and sometimes I wake up on my left side. I sleep well when I don't have anxiety.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
No, I am a prude and in my head I don't accept sex as a love gesture. I do not enjoy sex unfortunately although I wish I did.

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?
I am much more anxious and hard on myself.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
No medications at all except for vitamins (B6/B12 and prenatal vitamins), I am using frankincense oils.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
Unfortunately female issues.... they don't let me use the word on this forum.

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance
I am 5'5'', skinny (around 94 pound - trying to gain weight but it's hard when you try to eat healthy!), dark hair, dark eyes, olive skin, very small breasts (A cup).

24. (ONLY FOR FEMALES)

Please answer the following questions:
(Please give details of your past menstruation if you have attained menopause.)
- Are the periods early, regular or late in general?
My periods are usually around 28/29 days.
How long do they last?
Since the fibroid removal they last 3 days of full flow and few days of brown discharge.
- Do you suffer from any kind of physical or mental discomfort before, during or after the periods?
I have moodiness associated to my PMS, I usually get very sore breasts (I can't even touch them they are so sore and swollen) before my period but this month for some reason I didn't and that's how I was able to touch them and find the gland.
- Is the flow scanty, normal or excessive?
My flow seems to be normal although I did notice that since the surgery, I have a regular flow for 3 days then it seems to kind of stop overnight then start again sometime during the next day with less flow.
- Is the blood thick bright red or pale watery?
Red at the beginning, then turns darker.
- Do you notice any clots in the flow?
I don't have much clots since the surgery, maybe few little ones once in a while.

Thank you so much.
