Nat Mur overdose??? Help!

I may have possibly had an overdose to Nat Mur.
Here is what happened:

About 3 months ago, I took 2 doses (the small pills) of 30C nat mur and then stopped. I waited a month, nothing happened. So, one night, I felt like I had a panic attack, I meant to take Asrsinicum, but it turns out I grabbed the wrong vial, and ended up taking 2 more nat mur. (so that means 2 nat mur, then a month later, 2 more nat mur 30c).....

Still I seemed okay. That was maybe 1 or two months ago I am losing track of time.

Then, I had a back injury last year (got thrown from a horse) and went to physical therapy (3 weeks ago ) to get my spine put back into place, the vertebrae were twisted, they adjusted them. I took Arnica for the trauma/brusing. I was fine. Next visit the following week, I meant to take Arnica but once again grabbed the wrong vial and before I noticed it I had taken 2 more Nat Mur 30c instead of the ARnica!!
I spit them out right away but it I fear was much too late!

So to date, I have taken at least 6 pills (2 each) or so of Nat Mur. Suddenly, within the last 2 weeks (1 week after taking it the last time) my mouth broke out in some canker sores. So I took two more nat mur hoping it would go away (we are now up to 8 pills of nat mur over time)...but they keep coming, my mouth is filled with canker sores, the ulcer kind inside... all over I have at least 7 sores and they keep coming! Now I must say I have had these types of sores on occasion my entire life, but I have never had multiple sores!! So perhaps I have overdosed?

Originally I took the nat mur for disappointed love and other symptoms. I have felt no real change in that that I notice. The only real thing I feel that I had a reaction was the sores in my mouth!

I have also had numbness in the hands and feet and legs, but the doctor (regular MD) said that is related to the vertebrae dislocation and even after they moved them back into place, the MD said the soft tissue would still be irratated. But I am worried that I've overdosed the nat mur?!

And what should I do? I read this is very dangerous and can cause death because of the salt that is in Nat Mur?? Have I maybe given too much salt to my body? I have been taking extra vitamins and it does not seem to make a difference.

Last point- the week before I accidentally took the nat mur 2 weeks ago, I took ONE pill 30C of Sulphur Iodatum as it said in the store it was for cold/nasal discharge and flu, and I was feeing rather achy and flu like.

So, what are your thoughts (and do not worry I do not plan to every treat again myself!)
'
Thank you

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Good Heavens, you have not hurt yourself in any way. I repeat, you have not hurt yourself. You are not going to die.

Anyone that writes an article or statement that ANY homeopathic remedy is dangerous or may kill you should be shot at sunrise! This person could not have known anything about homeopathy.

The very worse you could do is make it more difficult to diagnos other problems.

Children get into kits or bottles that mom have left within reach all the time. They eat a bit of this and that. I have never had any "sick" children in 40 years. The most that has happened is they show a few symptoms...they do not actually get sick. They continue to play.

Clients have ignored instructions and have taken a tablespoon of the remedy instead of a few grains. This is just wasteful. A large amount is just one dose. A small amount is one dose. Repetition is the dosage that works. A little dose several times, according to directions.

Be at peace....Sabra

Sabra thank you for your response. The site by the way that said you could overdose and it could be deadly was cma (I could search and find it if you were really curious). Anyway; it said the overdose of nat mur could mess up the body's water metabolism, etc.

On to my situation. I saw that the mouth sores were in fact something that the nat mur treated along with many other indications I had. I could have taken any number of things with my personality, includig sulphur, or Lycophodium, but the disappointed love symptoms/main occurance/trauma years ago was the main reason i took it first of all. If only I hadn't (truly) accidentally taken it too many times! Good grief I've taken what seems like gallons of the stuff! (well many many doses over a 3 month period of 30C's).

So I wonder if now, I have forced the symptoms onto myself worse? Rather than curing them? They were something that periodically occured and bothered me but never, never to this extreme. At this time, I now have 7 sores in my mouth (OUCH). At the MOST in the past, it was 2 or 3, and they were gone within 3 days if I took lysine and stopped all acidic food. Now, I have not had any acidic food in the 2 weeks that I have had these sores and yet, they persist. I have upped my dosage of regular vit's hoping it might help. This includes anitoxidants, etc...

Does anyone have any further thoughts on what I have done to myself and, what, if anything I can do to relieve this? I really would like the sores to go away. And , the more I hear that I have not endangered my life, the better I shall feel! (And, I will solemly swear never ever to take anything again on my own!! I hadn't the money for a real pracitioner, this is why i tried self treatment in the first place).

Thank you again to any and all that have or will reply.

Dear Kris, "sores" do not tell us much. There must be numerous types of sores in the mouth and elsewhere. Are they canker?? White, red, open, closed, like ulcers? Need more info. Pain, or painless...you see?? Gum redness??

There are several remedies used for canker sores in the mouth...SABRA

Sabra, I described the sores as canker type/ulcer type all over the inside of the mouth in the post. You must've missed it.

Anyway, to anyone else who wonders about this... I did 3 hours of checking off the boxes for symptoms on the site, after this post since I didn't get an answer on here. I concluded after the results and looking at the chart of suggested remedies, to go with the remedy SULPHUR, which was the one that was most recommended. I took the sulphur 24 hours ago. I pill of 30C. One time. Within 12 hours, I was having very slight symptom increases (some of my past symptoms) so thought it must be working as I have heard time and again Sulphur can do this as it works. This will be short lived, the symptoms will go away if they are being helped by sulphur. In any event and my main point is, it must have been the right one for the cold sores, because less than 24 hours have passed and they are already beginning to heal. All at once are healing; this normally does not happen, normally if I have had 2 or 3 of them, they heal one at a time. ALL 9 are going away at the same time, and quickly! I had many more symptoms that also Phosphorus was called for (that were NOT covered or addressed at all w/sulphur) so have taken one Phosphorus 30C and intend not to take any additional. I did this after reading on this site it is okay to take two at once if indeed both remedies address different and many symptoms, which in this case, they do.

So I guess it is alright to treat oneself because it certainly is working in this case. One thing I would advise is do NOT take too often any remedy. I have come to conclude that less is more, so to speak.

Best to all. Hope this helps someone else out there.

You are right, I did not read carefully. Sorry.

Yes, the major philosophy of homeopathy is "less is more."

I would suggest MERC CORR for ulcers in the mouth, using my experience, but the book will not tell you this as I see it.

You read symptoms in the now, not as one sees themselves as a personality.

What is the person doing now? Then when things begin to change, one AGAIN reads the symptoms of the now.

Write again and let us know where you are right now. Not where you think you are, but what is happening right now....SABRA

Hi Sabra! :) I probably was not clear when I wrote about what symptoms I put into the system for 3 hours, but yes, it was in the now. Some were things that bothered me for years right up until now, some, new symptoms but all now are active. From there, it pointed me to the grid, and from that is where I got what I did. As for personality, I meant MIND symptoms. And they very much do have to do with homeopathy according to what I've heard time and again. In fact for each psychological thought, we have a physiological action/reaction from what I keep hearing. :)

So far, so good. The cankers (day 2) are better today even. So, they are leaving. I shall see what happens with the rest of them, and, what new ones crop up (if any). From there, it is my understanding, one continues to treat based on not only the new now symptoms, but the older now symptoms (with a longer history) as well. In other words, the whole person, not just one symptom. But then, I hear contrary theories where they say just treat the main symptom, or the new symptom. Trouble with that is, you might find several remedies for the one new symptom so there again that would leave one reexamining the remedies and considering older symptoms that are continuous. If that makes sense?

I am learning.

Thank you Sabra.
