Looking for Proof that Homeopathy Works

Ok so I've been seeing a homeopath for several months now for some mental health issues. My homeopath has tried several remedies and I haven't noticed any significant change for any of them. For the last couple in particular she was sure I would see a change.

For my newest remedy I'm not sure whether it's done anything yet or not, but if so I don't think it's anything major.

I've heard many incredible stories about homeopathy's healing powers, but I'm still skeptical as I haven't seen it for myself. Also I'm sure most people here are aware of all the negative stuff out there on homeopathy.

So basically I'm looking for stories from people who have used homeopathy with success (patients as opposed to homeopaths). If anyone has a significant story where they can say 100% for sure that it was homeopathy and not placebo that would be great. Anything regarding mental health in particular would be awesome :).

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Yes I agree, your homoeopath is unable to deal with your case and is giving you the wrong remedies. Find a new one.

Many a times Homeopathy has worked magically in treating some problems where other methods have failed.
I have seen one problem like little warts on face of a female child got cured very nicely.Ofcourse three homeopaths had failed in treating it, but the fourth one treated it successfully.
So I also agree with Varun and brisbanehomeopath.
It is also not necessary that one should look for treating every health problem from only one method.

That is true, but for mental health issues,
this is the fastest. Why? bc it removes
the energy-vibration etc- You can do
all the talk therapy you want but it is
not going to take out the ENERGY of
the problem ( might be years or never-
and there is no medicine for the mental
health that heals)

I have seen two women on this forum
get a remedy ( and they were convinced
life was not good, and not going to be
any good) and in 3 weeks write in and
say I am so happy and calm and I am
out enjoying my life. Whatever I was
thinking before does not bother me.
They did not even continue treatment
on here- I guess they are out having
some fun. :-) That is why even self help and therapy etc etc
who say 'Love yourself'
etc- it won't work it is
a mental approach for an emotional
'stuck' energy- you are just overiding
emotional with some mental mantra.
The emotional energy has to get
cleared and remedies are a miracle
in removing that energy so there is no
need to be mentally trying to overide
anything, you just FEEL good.

Thank you for the replies.

For everyone saying I should find a new homeopath, I don't want to do that yet. I really like her and trust her. Sure it hasn't worked yet, but I believe she'll get it.

She told me that in difficult cases (like mine is becoming) she does eventually consult other homeopaths, or brings in another homeopath, or refers patients to another homeopath. So we'll see what the next step is.

To simone717... yes I agree I think. I've had this problem for years and have been to therapists and I just feel 'stuck'. I don't think that any amount of therapy or cognitive exercises or whatever can fix my problem, which is mostly why I'm trying homeopathy.

Are you a patient or a homeopath btw?

not a patient, I am studying homeopathy,
have used it most of my life for me
and children.

To mkmossopo,
Yeah, a Homeopath should be given time to study the symptoms of a person and they should do it also sincerely.
When the proper remedy is found for a person's symptoms it starts curing without giving any body weakness.

It is definitely not placebo, as it has helped me a good deal with some anxiety and depression. And created some impressive aggravations in myself and my son! Which is why I am very cautious about using it casually. I have seen it help me, but not my son long term. However, he does react to it very noticeably, if only for a time, so I know it cannot be placebo because he is only 5 and has no idea why we are giving it.

Ok thanks for the replies again. I'll have an appointment with her again soon, so we'll see what happens.

'Consider sending pics at the very least.'

I'm not sure what you mean? I am seeing a homeopath in person.

'It is definitely not placebo, as it has helped me a good deal with some anxiety and depression'

So you're not completely cured? Do you feel that you'll get there?

Hi mkmossop,
I would say I am a great deal better, do I still get irritated sometimes and have anticipatory anxiety, sure I do. But this does not interfere with my life, I am able to go right on and enjoy myself, and for the first time in my life find it easy to reciprocate with friendships and don't have as much need to be alone (not as introverted). However, I don't believe being introverted is a character flaw, and I do enjoy spending some recharge time alone before the next social thing or what have you. Overall I am much more relaxed and don't really even notice a lot of the things I started out seeking help for in homeopathy. The things I notice now are of a physical nature, and I am dealing with those things, but that I'm told is the direction of cure. I also have considerably more energy and have started jogging on a daily basis, which would never have been possible before. Overall I have a lot more positive outlook on life and don't feel helpless and stuck, able to be in charge of my own life and accomplish things. I am working with several charities and setting goals for myself in all areas of my life. But has homeopathy made me a different person? No, it will not do that. And will I need to still use it as things arise? Sure. It is not a magic pill, we are who we are, but it can help us overcome mental blocks and obstacles.

Hi allicando,

Sorry for the late reply.

Well it sounds like homeopathy has improved your condition significantly. I hope to see some improvement soon as well.

And yes I'm quite introverted too. It's definitely not a character flaw, although that's something I've struggled with as well. I think introverts can have very interesting perspectives on things.

Do you think you'll see additional improvement.

Yes, I think so! I definitely feel more content and peaceful, so that is good. Can't say how I will feel a month or a year from now, but I'm not really worried about it...;) Right now working on getting my physical health in order (which seems to be a lot more straightforward and less troublesome than mental health issues!) Good luck and stick with it. How are you doing?

I am 40yo right now and I treat myself with homeopathy since I was 18 when I had my first health issue. I only consulted with 2 doctors my whole life, and so far, all the issues I had were solved.

Sometimes finding the right remedy takes a while, trial and error happens.

I have treated stomach ulcer, IBS, flus, earaches, skin problems, menstrual issues.

I have never taken steroids or antibiotics for anything in my entire life, I never had to go after it.

I had never developed any worse chronic condition so far, and I believe that homeopathy helped me to prevent middle age chronic issues.

As for mental health, over 2 decades I had issues with insomnia, anxiety, depression, grief, fear, difficulty concentration, weak memory, and I am really happy homeopathy helped me to overcome difficult emotional situations. Sometimes the right remedy was Sulphur, sometimes it was Lycopodium, sometimes it was Natrum Muriaticum. I always consult a doctor to prescribe any homeopathic remedy.

They say antidepressants also take trial and error, and many times you find the right antidepressant for you only after months and months.

For me homeopathy has always been much more quicker than that.

Hi,
I haven't been completely cured yet but I was I guess one of the lucky people because I found the right remedy right away after 3 years of unsuccessfully getting past a dystonia caused by an overdose of anti-depressants alongside a bipolar disorder developed from an overdose of anti-anxiety pills. Trust me, I'll never do it again. The pain I suffer now is worse then anything experienced before but it's slowly going away. What you need to do is think about every single mood, whether it's anxiety, depression, irritability, nervousness etc. There are so many moods and they are all different and I understand better than most how hard it is to describe what you are feeling. It took me years to be able to understand every single mood I had. I was on harsh treatments that lead me to eventually almost successfully kill myself. Homeopathy gives you courage to get through every symptom that arises and dissipates until you are fully cured and you do get cured eventually. Not like someone on here said earlier. If that were not true then I'd be in big trouble right now because the psych drugs stopped working altogether with me and I've been too sick. With my condition however confusion is a big issue and that will take time to clear out too. You have to be strong with certain symptoms that may arise and remember that they will go away. As long as you feel even the slightest reaction to your body that corresponds to your symptoms then you know it's the right remedy. You will know when you find the right one because each time you take it, it will automatically give you a little bit of relief. Don't give up because life is too precious and psych drugs too dangerous. I hope this helps. Hang in there and see if you can right down on a journal all the symptoms you get. Don't forget symptoms such as eating habits and sexual habits as well. They have a lot to do with your mental health too.
Regards,
Vera

Over after so many years of practice I have learnt a few lesons worth mentioning here,

1. Like every pathy even Homoeopathy also has its limitations. It is certainly not cure-all method. In some cases apart from the medicines it also require supportive therpy like Psycho analysis hypnosis, surgery etc.

2. There are millions of doctors in the world but there is only ONE healer, without Whose blessings nothing happens.

3. There are some patients who (UNINTENSIONALLY, of course) remain sick & do not want to get well b'cos. they get the required attention from the associates & dear ones (including their doctors)while they are sick.

4.Finally, a very intense and intrinsic desire to get well can only bring a good health.
A very famous Homoeopath had told me once ' Dear, there are no chronic deseases, there are only chronic patients. And remember you cannot help them.'

4.

Wow, I have to disagree with that one. I don't think anyone enjoys sitting in the waiting room at a hospital for hours at a time. Even if 'unintentionally' and if there is truly no cure then I would like to know so I'm not wasting time. Some people remain sick not because they ENJOY the company of doctors. They can be pretty rude at times actually. That's not very enjoyable. Doctors just don't know everything and the reasons for the person being sick. I was told that through homeopathy there is a cure but you have to find the root cause of your problem. Allopathic medicine only masks the problems therefore causing people like my grandmother who died of an illness I apparently can't use here (odd) to only find out she had it 5 years before her death, yet before that she complained of constant migraines and there was no medication that could give her the relief she needed. I'm so disappointed. This does not help me at all.

There you go. I rest my case. You want these people that come on here that have serious health issues to lose hope then find another forum. I may not be completely cured because I suffer from Tuberculosis, but at least I was able to get my mental health fixed only to find out that some of the symptoms I was experiencing had nothing to do with being mentally ill. Now you tell me I can't be cured. I might as well get a death sentence and spend the next couple of months drinking myself to death because the pains are so violent as alcohol is the only thing that helps with the pain now and not even tylenol or advil does the trick. And no one can help me in Allopathic medicine obviously because I must've caught a drug-resistant strain that went straight to the nervous system. I was on Isoniazid for nothing. I continued being treated as if the pain was all in my head and now I have a severe dystonia because of that and the fact that I got a severe reaction to psychiatric meds. A reaction that is not reversible in that type of medicine. They said it was gonna go away. Well, it's only gotten worse with time. I have nothing more to say. I'm getting a homeopathic doctor in my area because I no longer wish to die.
Also, that only Healer, which is God didn't invent chemicals but herbs of all kinds to cure illnesses. It's for that that certain poisonous plants exist, to cure. Mankind invented chemicals to suppress the body because no one wants to feel pain in order to get better.
