Chronic Heat Exhaustion

I perspire profusely off the top of my head.

It is independent of age, fitness, weight, etc.

I feel it is genetic or at least a slim possibility of being injury related (I fell off a fence and landed on my head around age 4 or 5). The earliest childhood neighbor- hood nickname I can remember is 'sweathead'.

I am 52 now. After researching the internet I most closely identify with some of the blog posts from MS patients.

As an example, recently my family visited an amusement park. I was soaking wet, had a mild headache, slight tremors in my hands, slightly off balance, and cranky. I felt 'baked' all over and my head more like 'burnt'.

NO ONE else in the park seemed to have trouble, even the largest patrons. It was around 85F. My daughter who is 10 was 'cold'.

In fact, the only people I see sweat more than me are TV preachers. After 52 years, that's a lot of people!

My thyroid TSH, T3, T4, free T4 is all normal.

I have a small non-functioning adrenal tumor but the doc says all ok.

I am pre-diabetic (A1C = 5.9) but have been that way at least since I was 21 (military entrance exam).

Once, for about a month, I felt normal. I was taking an herbal supplement at the time. In trying to duplicate the episode of being 'normal' I found that one of the ingredients licorice is bad for blood pressure, so I stopped taking this particular supplement.

Hoping you can help or give a particular direction for me to follow besides locking myself up inside a meat locker.

Thanks!

hi, thanks for the suggestion. several endo doctors have been completely uninterested or assume this or that without really listening to what i have to say.

i already take a calcium supplement usually twice a day that adds up to 1600mg for heartburn. will the extra 800 mg do anything for me?

This is a medicine. Do not compare with food suppliments. Take the doses as suggested.
