I feel like I've run out of options...
I've posted here several times before, and had some wonderful help from brisbanehomeopath, but I figure I'd try one last time...I was tested and diagnosed with gastroparesis in 2008 following a stomach virus. It means 'stomach paralysis'. Your digestive system basically stops functioning at a normal rate, so your symptoms can be anywhere from fullness, bloating, nausea, vomiting, etc. Apart from some chronic dizziness and brain fog due to anxiety/stress six months prior to that, I was pretty much a very healthy individual. The gastroparesis changed my life in a huge and terrible way.
I talked initially with patients who also have GP, all of them recommended a 'supplement' called 'Nux Vomica'. So I tried it, and it seemed to help my symptoms, albeit only temporarily, and thus my interest in homeopathy began...
I have one symptom, and one symptom alone still, which is causing all my troubles. It's the reason I have been on disability for over a year now, it's the reason I am depressed, frustrated, anxious, etc. It's the reason I live in a fog all day long. My main and most troubling symptom is that I have violent dry heaves and gagging every waking hour of my life.
I have tried so many different remedies, so many times, and of so many varying potencies, but nothing apart from Nux Vomica has helped, and it has helped only two or three times (pretty much all near the start of my taking remedies) out of taking the dose hundreds and hundreds of times over the past two years.
I have developed an addiction to taking remedies, primarily because I just can't stand the retching (which I mostly 'suppress' as long as I can by tensing my body and straining while I do things like type on the computer). For some reason, I just think a remedy before me might help because it did once before, but either way, they ultimately don't and my suffering just doesn't end.
I've tried 6x, 6c, 30c, 200c, 1m, 10m of Nux Vomica, Lycopodium, Aresnicum over the past two years, in addition to many others. I've tried LM4 and LM5 of Nux Vomica. I've had three different homeopaths. After taking so many remedies, I've 'detoxed' by not taking anything for three months, and it made no difference when I started again.
I am convinced that, at my core, I am an Arsenicum Album, and have been since birth - I've always been a worrier, I have severe fear of death and poverty and vomiting (ironically enough), I live in a constant state of fear and fog. However, I've tried every potency of Ars. except for the xs and LMs, and it really made no difference from what I could tell. But, I do believe that my constant 'suppression' of the dry heaving I mentioned so I can go about my day is due to a control issue/fear of vomiting and retching that I attribute to Arsenicum.
My physical symptoms are pretty much in line with Nux however, but only SINCE my stomach virus. The dry heaving WITHOUT being able to vomit being the principle one. I also have severe, severe muscular spasms in my abdomen constantly, and very heightened sensitivity all along my digestive tract.
I am extremely, extremely sensitive to remedies. Most of them are so strong to me that when I take them, I feel kind of WORSE, and I don't feel better until I wash my hands or floss or have coffee. I don't know if that is psychological or not, but it's just how it is.
But, again, the worst part is the violent dry heaves and retching, which never end, and no doctor nor homeopath has been able to help me so far, apart from a few early doses of Nux.
Is there anyone who can refer me or help me out? I live in Northern Virginia. Also, I am interested in pursuing an education in homeopathy, if only so I can figure out how best to treat myself ultimately.

Hi- when was the last time you went to the MD and had
a check up and your blood tested for an elevated white count?
It seems like the remedies should have worked- when they
don't they call it a 'block to the cure' that has to be found
and removed.
Case in point-two people I knew taking remedies for panic
attacks and they were not really working tho indicated.
The problem was they had hidden gum- tooth infection they
did not know about- and then due to this they did not have
anough energy to handle barely 'anything' and get panic attacks.
I will look up people for you to try, but I strongly suggest
you get a check up- if you have elevated white count that
means your body is fighting off something 'somewhere'
and you have to find out where.

Thanks! I actually do have Lyme disease, a few co-infections, parasites, viruses, the works. I see a good Rheumatologist and am currently on IV antibiotics, though after a few weeks I can't really tell the difference yet :(
Lack of energy is a huge problem for me though, which is probably why I've had some of my best days after taking Lycopodium. It just makes me feel 'alive' again.

Hi- well the Lyme is the real problem-you don't
have the energy to get rid of the other stuff.
You need to be homeopathically treated for the
lyme along with what you are taking for it.
Homeopaths treat Lyme frequently with
using a Nosode called Borrella that has
is the same 'virus' that causes the lyme. You cannot order this as a patient.
And there are other remedies to set the body up for the nosode etc.
So you have to get rid of the lyme to have your vital force work right
bc you have been using Lyco like some super vitamin or something and it
eventually will not do anything-

etc She is in Fairfax- she has office hours for questions only about getting
treatment from 11:30 to 12:30- the question you want to ask is how many
lyme cases she has had and cured, and if she is ok with you on the antibiotics
etc ( bc some people are not ok with that and I feel you have to be on them
and get off as medicines work) 703-273-5250
The other dr on here that has had at least 2 lyme cases cured is dr Showrav-
He is extreme busy and not taking really anything on forum now.

doctor and knows what he is doing on this. I know it takes around 3 months
at least to get this Lyme sorted out. So you HAVE that option and if dr chase
is not a good match I sure would go for the second option.

Thanks so much! I actually contacted Dr. Chase before, and she referred me to a Dr. Wember because she didn't think she could help me - but, that was before my Lyme diagnosis, so I will follow up with her again. I saw Dr. Wember a couple times, and he was great but I didn't feel any better after trying a couple remedies with him. I like the idea of treating Lyme with homeopathy, I've never encountered that approach before.

Email Dr. showrav is your best bet. You do not reinvent
the wheel here, you go to someone who has already cured
Lyme and is fully confident about it. Otherwise you are
wandering about in the wilderness - with no results.
Dr. chase and Dr. Wember are 'classical homeopaths'
and they might be trying to find the 'one' remedy'
that is going to do everything and you can waste a LOT
of time with that approach.

I m ready to take this case at private from my gmail site bcs of lack of time and excessive shortage of leisure time. Found this case is solvable from above discussion and the patient is not curing properly may be bcs of Doctors might have over looked some important points of the patients daily routine. Hope we will work out together and solve the case soon.

Why u will go to different doctors for treating different diseases like the traditional medicine way while u can have all the disease get solved in one place from a homeopathic same doctor at a time?

treat levels of what is going on? and not try to find one
remedy that will fix everything and make the person
wait for years.

how caring he is and how he will stick with you. Did not
know about his experience with thyroid-He is educating
me on some mother tinctures thru his senior teachers.
