Dr Batra's - Steroids laced? Page 2 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I strongly belive that homeopathy medicines especially those at Dr Batras' do not have steroids..I have friends taking medicines from Dr Batras', so do I my self for the past 2-3years. I have seen children take their meidicines too but have never come across any complaint of any sort.
As 'doctor'said maybe 'vikrant' is gaining weight because of change in lifestyle and the joint pains are happening due to the increase in weight.
Steorids are not the only answer to all problems. I think that every one taking homeopathic treatment should have a unshakable belief in homeopathy and their doctors. If at all there are any concerns they should be talked out with the respective doctors who would always be willing to help.
I think that if 'Vikrant'or any Dr Batras' patients, or any one else have any issues regarding the medicines that they are taking then they should take it up with their respective doctors and get them cleared.

Why no one has ever said that 'I was benefitted by Dr.Batra's clinic', so far, on any of the discussios over the net?

Mine is a first hand experience as a patient at Dr Batra’s clinicand underwent their treatment for one year with no

result and negativeeffect.

These people should be hanged but unfortunately we have democracy inour country. I went for similar kind of hair treatment to theIR VASHI,Navi Mumbai clinic. While registering they said it is good and you willsee benefits in 2-3 months and all sort of lies. And even aftercompleing one year and spending money in every test they suggested (ablood test, a urine test) and eating every vegetable they recommendedand doing every Yoga aasan they told to practice but the problempersisted ....rather it bacame worse.

I was better off before going to Dr Batra’s clinic.

I believe the hair loss is kind of emotinal thing to every male andmany clinic are just exploiting it. Dr Batra is one of the mostprominent of them all. Some of the underskilled, unfriendly doctorswhol follow a standard sugar coated medicine which does nothing.

I read the responses in this so called 'forum' regularily. I would like to ask all of you specially Indians. do we Indians have an 'attitude of gratitude' in us. Somebody was writing why very few people have written better about dr batras in this forum. I am asking them- do you ever go to the doctor and say thanks when you feel better. Then your answer is 'I paid the money and he is a professional, he did the job, so what!!!. Isn't it.
When we go to a doctor or any medical organization we expect everything as a 'patient' but when we talk to our doctor, we talk like a 'consumer'. For god sake-Be fair to the doctors. It takes a lot of efforts to become a doctor and even more efforts to remain a good doctor. They spend golden period of their life for the profession. You would be amazed to know about a doctor's salary in a hospital(even private). It is much lesser than what an engineer gets after passing from a college or a management graduate after entering into corporate world. Taking a decision to become doctor is very emotional and is not merely pushed by urge for financial gratification. Can anybody of you work for charity. If you don't get salary or your salary is delayed, you start screaming and if you get more salary somewhere else you shift your job without even thinking about the commitment with your earlier company but a doctor works more than what you can even think of. The commitment still remains. He is also a human being. You get to see your relative fighting for life once in many yrs and become emotional but doctor does it every moment. Please remember the increased suicide rates by various doctors in AIIMS, the reasons are many but most of time it is non gratification of a desire which only a doctor can have. You cannot even imagine what a doctor feels when his patient tells that he is not better with his medicine. Its a challenge of his life to satisfy need of that time and circumstances.
Nowadays, one more thing is coming up which is very interesting. Because most of the patients are net savvy, they think that they know everything about medicine and disease. With their partial and theoritical knowledge gathered from few unauthentic/vague websites- biased about their business prepositions and propagandas, they start arguing with the doctor, many times it happens.
I am a doctor myself and when we doctor friends sit together, most of the times we discuss about the RUDE/ROUGH/ARROGANT behavior of patients and patient's relatives in any of the clinic's or hospital premises with even slightest of mistake by medicos. I DON'T THINK DOCTORS DESERVE THIS BEHAVIOR FROM THEM.
Do you have any comments regarding above issues.

why advice and medicine are not given at bearable cost at batra's clinic???it's a questionmark to homeopathy....they are making money and nothing else....its a bit doubtful

Dear hell boy,
You better stay in hell rather than on earth. Studying and practicing medicine is not just like playing with numbers, formula and fudging rules and manipulating govt regulations. It is much more than that. Before passing anything about homoeopathy or any other medicinal therapies, first have courage to understand the subject. Tell me one thing. If you go to an allopath and if he is not able to give you solutions for your disease, do you say that allopathy doesnt work. So, how can you say that homoeopathy doest work, just because it didnt work on you. There is a saying-HOMOEOPATH FAILS BUT HOMOEOPATHY DOES'T. Mind your words before writing anything here which is read by many people around the world. Indian Constitution(criminal law) also has a para for people like you, who spread wrong informations through media and mislead people. According to statistics provided by WHO(world health organization), most of the poeple who don't feel better after taking any treatment from any doctor is because of non-compliance of whatever is advised to them which includes time required for treatment. This is information for all who are regular readers- Whenever you are blaming any doctor, first ask yourself... DID I COMPLY WITH WHATEVER MY DOCTOR TOLD ME. If the answer is 'NO', then before pointing finger on anybody, see other 4 fingers are pointing towards you.
HAVE FAITH IN YOUR DOCTOR, SOMETIMES WE BECOME BIASED BECAUSE OF MAILERS OR STATEMENTS PROVIDED BY FEW IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE AND REMAIN DEVOID OF SOME NICE HAPPENINGS AND OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR HEALTH......This is another face of the story which seems more logical.....certainly!!!!

Dear Mr Pankaj,
Do you ask the same question when you go to Apollo hospital, maxhealthcare or any other big allopathy hospital. I have no relation with drbatras, but I am a homoeopath myself and I feel proud that in homoeopathy we have a big name called DRBATRAS. It is not the medicines which are costly, it is the services you are getting from them. Don't put your inefficiency of paying money on somebody else. If you want to consult a homoeopath you have many doctors ranging from free of cost treatment to even Rs2000/month. Choice is yours.

Okay dear u r correct but my mean is only that homeopathy is one of the pious thing in this world and my opinion is not to make it so much costly dr batra might be providing good services but then why charging so much money if other homeopathy doctors will try to folow them then what will happen to poor ppl who r taking advantage of homeopathy,,,,they will suffer ultimately

I really do not know the truth about steroids in Homeopathy, however I wish to share my experience with all the readers. I had been having chronic backache for several years and had been using hoemopathy medicine for the cure without any positive results. After taking medicine as prescribed by my neighborhood doctor lady for almost 2 months without result I suddenly stopped the medicine. Suddenly my backache worsened> when I visited the lady doctor to complain about my increased pain after I stopped the medication without consulting her she beacme really furious and in the anger she divulged that she was giving me the steroids and the same should not have been stopped without consulting her. I immediately went out of her clinic and has never ever used any Homeopathy medicine. However my wife still is a fan of homeopathy medicine and normally use packed and beanded medicine under consultation. But I am always worried about it and its possible side effects.

professorjain last decade
And that proves ProfessorJain that one should be aware of whatever medicine one takes. It's better for everyone's safety, that one should talk out freely with any therapist what he/she is giving.

And what if they don't divulge beforehand? heed to world famous Homeopath Dr. Luc's advice and ignore such therapists who hide things from patients.

maheeru last decade
And yes what the practitioner did was completely against the principles of homeopathy, administering steroids. I receive lot of such feedbacks privately too about how some qualified homeopathic doctors in india dispense allopathic medicines and steroids in name of homeopathic medicines. Really an unfortunate situation!.

maheeru last decade
Dear Professorjain and other people who write in this blog.
I am a homoeopath myself, who practiced in India and now abroad. With full respect to your views and ideas, I will suggest the readers/writers that if you have any complain against any homoeopath for suspecting steroids in the medicines provided by them, please go to the concerned authorities. In every state we have homoeopathic councils where you can put complains against these homoeopaths. But before that do your homework and get the medicines tested in any of the govt labs to avoid any defamation case against you. Please go and read about steroids. They are not magic drugs. Do educate yourself about steroids. Can steroid treat everything? What is it's taste? What is it's colour?etc. Then ask yourself, is it possible to add a bitter substance in sweet pills? Now if you still feel that all homoeopathic medicines contains steroids and all homoeopaths prescribe steroids only.....then I would say it is more out of hatered(may be because of past unhappy experience of yours or any of your friends) and unreasoned continued disbelief in homoeopathy which tend you to think that homoeopaths must be using steroids, otherwise how is it possible that it is giving relief. I would say 'You believe more in not believing in homoeopathy rather than anything else'. If you feel in India everything is possible then I would like to point out that homoeopathy is authorised in most of the countries including europe and gulf where they have very stringent rules. And believe me popularity of homoeopathy is growing day by day. It is few allopathy doctors (not all) who out of either reluctance or continued disbelief in a homoeopathy misguide patients. Now, why are you believing in allopathic physician more than a homoeopathic physician. The reason might be that you think that an MBBS doctor knows more than a BHMS. For your kind information, they all study same books, in few places taught by same teachers and study for same number of yrs(curriculum). The only difference is pharmacology which is quite obvious.
There would always be few black sheeps which are there in every field. In every profession you will find these kind of people. Does it mean that we should blame the whole faternity for the mistake done by one individual? Is is fair? Please ask yourself, dont you think that this kind of discrimination is faced by all of us in some point of time in our life.
I would love to read responses from all readers/writers but not just for the sake of argument and with smell of hatered but with honest reasoning and insight.

why on earth do homeopaths hide what they prescribe...allopathic medicines are straightaway given without prescriptions at shops a overdose of any allopathic medicine can cause immediate damage. I wonder why homeopathic medicines names are hidden by the way I just want to point that there are multiple restrictions in homeopathy under which medicines are given, suppose one of those restrictions are broken it would be really obvious for a homeopath to say that he broke the rules but does that also invariably mean as soon as medicines are stopped and the person consumes something he was averting for long due to homeopathic medicines cause or give him symptoms which he/she had been experiencing before starting homeopathic medicines.. I would just give my own example for cold I took some homeopathic medicines followed heavy restrictions, even medicines symptoms worsened but got better(obvious homeopathy aggravations) but when symptoms got better within a week and a week after that I drank lime juice in 1L water water for 3days everymorning and all symptoms were provoked, I dont know how much to believe on the treatment or homeopathy. Any I just expressed my experience over that I just compeled my homeopath to disclose the medicine he is giving but he just didnt budge.

Read my bitter experience with Dr Batra-Noida..

After being on bed rest for 1 month as adviced by the dermatologists of a reputed hospital in noida and taking high doses of allopathic medicines with no recovery and being kept on high doses of steroids (which where NOT required , causing more side effects :-( ).. I went looking for other treatments which supposedly have no side effects .. this was when i felt i should go forward with homeopathy.. and felt Dr. Batra is a big name in this field so why not try that .. when i visited the website and chatted online with a so-called doc.. he convinced me fully that, it has no side effect as they give constituent medcinies etc etc .I must say he did his job perfectly well and convinced me (though i had made up my mind already, being on the verge of tears with allopathy experience, so it helped him all the more)...The only and most imp mistake i did was not going through reviews of Dr Batra..To continue with my experience..
I booked the appointment for the very next day..i got numerous calls confirming my appointment and reminding me to be on time by the callcentre. On reaching the centre we were asked if we are new patients and then asked to fill a form with around 9-10 undertakings..like i’ve come here with my own will, dr.batra holds the right to publish my pictures during the treatment, the amount submitted is non-refundable/non-transferrable(the Catch)..
next came the couselling session.. i had taken all my reports of various tests..i was asked to meet Dr.D
she asked me apko kya hua hai. i told the disease which the dermatologist had said(urticaria) ..they did not even cross check if i have that disease ..she kept on saying there is no cure in allopathy for this disease..i myself kept on saying the problems i was facing and she just said 'iska ilaaz sirf homeopathy mein hai'(all the while scratching her ear and showing her discomfort in being asked so many questions) and also tried convincing that it will take 2 years to cure, so that we go for 2 year plan..(plan they have is for 6 months-8000rs, 1 year-12000rs and 2 years..).When i said i want to go for 6 months plan , she said 2 years to lagenge hi..
Already being tortured with too many allopathy medicines+tests+ experiments.. we gave in and filled the form for 1 year(12k rupees ).. as soon as i paid the amount and signed their undertaking...
She suggested us to sit outside with other patients, so that a junior doc can create a CASE with my details and they can then prescribe me the medicines..
Next ,after waiting for 20 mins we were sent to another small chamber, to meet the doc.
The Doctor then asked me the disease,he also did not cross check and just kept jotting down all details in his computer. he tooks photos of all my reports(to be uploaded in the database for the case).he then started with a series of questions to have details of my lifestyle... like which pose do u sleep(dont know what this has to do with the skin disease!!!), what food do u crave, what food u like, what u dont like, .. around 50 questions, i surely felt like a celebrity for being questioned so much about my lifestyle but still did not understand..what that has to do with the problem i was facing..he then took photos of my hands and feet(this also to be uploaded into the database) for their study!!...there were some questions like, 'ye apke sir pe bhi hua hai kya' ( i had done all my research on urticaria and never found it to attack the head also!!!). I found such questions little strange, but thought maybe its part of their questionnaire .. after asking all the questions and updating their so called database..he told me to collect my medicines for one week and visit again after 1 week.. also repeating it will take around one-2 years to cure the disease...
when i went to collect the medicines, they were for 2 weeks, 2 packs of sweet round white tablets..when i asked why i have been given medicines for 2 weeks when doc said 1 week, he said , 'doc is out of town for 2 weeks so he gave 2 weeks medicine'!!!!!! next when i revolted saying is he the only doc available, they then reluctantly made my appointment with another doc.. saying , apka CASE to yehi handle karenge na isliye 2 weeks bola..
this was the only time i went to Dr Batra and lost my 12000 rs :-(
I had 3 doses of the medicine, and then found the allergy to start appearing on my face also(thankfully to them!! :( ) ..at that same moment i checked, mouthshut reviews and understood how i have also been fooled...i wish i had read them before i went there...

Anyways, after that i went to a Govt aided hospital in Delhi (will write in details about that sometime) last week, and within one week the allopathic medicines have cured me.. (the same treatment for which the dermatologist said will take 1 year and 2 years in homeopathy!!!!!!).. I am very thankful to god for have gone to the right doctor, may god bless him for not being in the same race of Doctors fooling and looting the patients, just to have patients for lifetime..

Next, when we went to Dr batra within 5 days, requesting them to return atleast half the money , or charge for 1 month /6 months, they denied saying 'you have signed the undertaking'.. I have lost 12000 rs for 3 dose of sweet sugar coated medicines, no idea what they were :-(

My Sole advice, Please DONOT ever go to Dr Batra, if u value your money and want to get well soon...
Hope my bitter experience helps someone..

Please donot visit Dr Batra if u value your hard earned money

Hello everyone. I ve been a homeopathy user for many years now. Homeopathy is a beautiful medicine system if used correctly and in right hands. The medicines are actually cheap. Many of the homeopaths whom I visited were not able to treat me. I dont know if they did that purposefully or no but gradually i learnt to use this science myself and though by hit and trial have improved drastically in my health. Homeopathy charges should not be more than MAX TO MAX Rs. 400 per month. The doctors should work very closely with their patients which certainly they dont. I hope in the near future this is changed and medicine systems become more transparent. Good luck !!

Hello nehasmiles!,

Can you please tell me which Govt-aided hospital you visited to rid of urticaria. Mine too is chronic case, surviving on day to day basis on steroids and had been taken for a ride in exactly the same pattern (modus operandi) you have described in your post. I need help! It is urgent!!
Hello, moderator, is there any way to alert nehasmiles about this urgency? Many thanks in advance

Dear Pradeepr,

Hi. Are you based in Delhi?

pushi1 last decade
Homeopathy remedies are the cheapest and effective, DR BATRA's Clinic is only a commercial hub with the sole intention of making money of a 10 Rs medicine for 10,000 bucks, I have heard from some unsatisfactory relatives who tried his remedies and wasted time and money both, if you want cure go to Dr Prafull Vijaykar or post your query to great doctors here like Dr Deoshlok, Dr Kadwa etc and get good advice at free of cost.
I personally feel that atleast Doctors who charge a bomb should atleast disclose their medicine names the way good allopaths write prescriptions.
But anyways each to his own.

Dear Pradeep..please get in touch with an excellent homeopath who also happens to be my friend. He has his clinic in Rohini and gandhi Nagar, Delhi. I think Gandhi Nagar clinic would be close to you. I tried many homeopaths Dr. Dhama, Dr. Batra, Dr. Anil Sharma, the best of allopaths for skin diseases like Dr. Kooba, Dr. Behl but the kind I recovery I have made with Dr. Jayant Sharma is great. You can get in touch with him on 'jayant sharma' drjay.sharmagmail

in the era of globalisation, every body is after earning more and more money Dr.Batra seems to be in that league, those who know about homeopathy, will never pay more than hundred Rs,for 15 days. This is a pios and noble pathy it aims at cure and only cure,no money extortion pl. corporatisation of homeopathy is only for gullible and innocents who believe the tall claim advts.Wen ever you are suffering always be sure that 'kisi gali mein baitha ek homeopath jo cum fees leta hai wo hi ap ko theek karega'if you think that intensity of cure is proprtional to fees you pay then it is absolutely wrong, you only will keep spending money.Try to asses genuinity of knwledge of doctor by experiencing his meds. Homeopathy is the only answer for future for a country like india where majority of population is below powerty line.Pl. dont try to impress people by visiting corporate homeopath(this concept of corporate itself is davilish and time will soon perish it)
