This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Look at the thread up near top of forum today-
boosting your immune system.

Tell your mom to stop eating ice cream and cold things and
cold fizzy drinks if she does that. Ice cream throws the body
off balance and digestive system-ice cream and the cold soda
are also called pus forming foods. And she might also have
an allergic reaction to dairy products and should try going
without them for a week and notice if she feels better. If
she is allergic to dairy , it could be keeping her at a low
health level and then the extra ice cream is a tipping point.

Thank you . I did read the thread you suggested. I will also note the remedy for myself and my family. Can we take the calccarb/phos/lyco only when we get cold or can we take when we are otherwise healthy state.?

My mom usually stays away from cold things. Once in a while she wants to eat icecream and right away catches cold. She always drinks hot water after meals. She also does not catch colds that easily. But when she does catch it,it stays for a long time with excess mucous build up.

Hi- I would go by the last post on that thread by Reva v-

do it with gaps as she said. and the normal rule is you do not
take medicine unless you are ill.

The problem with the cough is mucous drips down into the
throat and chest- and it can be so slight you don't even feel it-
Once something gets into the chest the body has to work harder
to get rid of it and it is extra draining. so you really want to dry up
any nose- sinus mucous right away and avoid the chest problem.

Other thing my family is using is the reishi mushroom supplement.
They are a big immune system booster and they are food, you don't
feel anything really except a little more energy that feels normal and
most all the rest of things people are catching you just don't come
down with it.

Thanks. I have never heard of the reishi mushroom. Which store or website do you get them from. Is it tonic or capsules? I will google it for more info.
Thanks again.

I get them in capsules from Whole Foods- called New Chapter
life shield immunity- has the reishi whole fruiting body plus
the other mushrooms.

I already knew about them, but the store person has two young
kids and said she was always low bc they were low- now that
does not happen. Part of my family works with huge amounts of
the public and since taking these has gone for 6 months without
getting anything or missing a day of work-( that never happened before.)
