Miniature Dachshund - Seizures

My dog (15 years old) with no prior history of epilepsy or seizures had a seizure tonight lasting about 5 minutes. I should explain I used to be a vet assistant in a homeopathic clinic and I have never seen a seizure last this length of time. Once the seizure started to subside she screamed I mean screamed whined so loud and long it was like a scream I could not calm her. This lasted about the same time. Then she wanted to circle the perimeter of the room over and over she was completely blind and out of it. I gave her a dose of Rescue Remedy about an hour post seizure. She is now resting comfortably. She has otherwise been in good health on a good diet eats and drinks normally. The past 2 weeks I have noticed about 4 episodes of head wobbling/tilting bobbing slowly up and down. Some nystagmus.

I took her to the emergency and the Vet suggested I keep her in overnight for fluids and run a geri panel to check liver and kidney function. While I agree this should be done I did not want to add to her stress by leaving her at a strange vet clinic with no overnight supervision. I have seen to many animals suffer because the owners do not want to let go and I love this little girl so very much but I won't have her suffer and be in pain.

What remedy would you recommend for the symptoms as described?

I should also add she is sleeping more and more and still has a brilliant appetite.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I can't prescribe a remedy here for you, but I had the same problem
with my dog. Did not know about homeopathy then. Since that time I have
read a few cases where - the seizures came out of nowhere and it was
from worms.

Worms can be an important factor in a lot of epilepsy cases, humans and
animals. So please get him checked for worms, parasites just to rule that out.

Give her homeopathic Opium 200c one dose every two weeks upto 4 doses.

Observe and report changes after 4 doses.
