Reoccuring Pilonidal Cyst

Hello folks, just joined the forums and love and commend how you're all helping people out of your own time. Before getting to the reason I'm posting, I'll mention that I'm a COMPLETE noob to homeopathy, as in never even knew what it meant before today, so please take it easy on me and know I may need some additional explanations. I've read other forum posts here on the subject but figured it wise to ask and provide my own specific details.

I'm a 26yo male weighing 300lbs (I know, working on getting that down) and standing 5'11 and living in California.

Since 2007 I've had an on-again off-again pilonidal cyst. The first instance was the most painful, but seemed to eventually completely drain on its own. I was fine for over a year until I got a very minor case of inflammation and drainage in late 2009. It seemed to completely go away until earlier this year. Around May it came back and filled with puss before draining completely again. But instead of going away, it came back within a couple weeks. Since, it's been following the same pattern of draining, slowly refilling and draining again (sometimes taking a month, sometimes a few days). All of October, it hasn't gone away at all. It leaks semi-regularly, typically once a week, sometimes twice. I now keep a piece of toilet paper back there (frequently changed) to catch drainage and keep the area dry. When it drains, it's usually a mixture of blood and a white, slightly yellow puss.

I absolutely cannot afford surgery, especially such a painful surgery that takes months to heal from and isn't even a sure thing. Any help provided would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to be thorough. I'm happy to provide any additional info needed and could even upload photos of the affected area or puss if need be. I know it's gross, so I'm holding off on posting a picture if it's not needed, since the cyst is right at the top of my butt's crack and may be considered 'offensive.'

Hi, Welcome to the Forum!

Please take Myristica Sebifera Q, 4 drops mixed in 1/4 glass of mineral water, 3 times a day, for 4 days.

Also, a daily dose of Hypericum 200C, 4 drops mixed in 1/4 glass of mineral water, for 5 days.

You may also include the following remedies in your order for future use.
1. Berberis Vulgaris 6X, liquid dilution.
2. Calc Sulph 200C

Many prayers for your good health.

Thank you very much for the help and the quick response. I'm on a very small, tight budget so it will take me a week or two to get these things. I have a couple of questions regarding your suggested remedies.

Would the Hypericum 200C be okay in pellet form? On the site's store they're about half the price of the liquid version. If so, how would you suggest I take them?

Same question for the Berberis Vulgaris 6X. I noticed it's much cheaper in pellet form than liquid. While I know this one is for future use and I won't need to buy it as soon as possible, would the pellets be okay or is there a difference in potency between the pellets and liquid form?

Lastly, in the meantime I've started taking 1 1000mg garlic pill, as I've read it fights infection well and read that it's specifically helped with pilonidal cysts. I've also been recommended caster oil presses (caster oil on gauze applied directly to the cyst under a heating pad). Will using either of these in the meantime (until I can afford the remedies you suggest) have any negative effects with what you're suggesting? I'll stop the caster oil and garlic if need be when the other stuff arrives, but for now are they okay?

Thank you in advance for all your kind help. All the time and help you've given people here on this site is very commendable and it's refreshing to see somebody so willing to help others.

Hey Matt, May God Bless You.
You are more than welcome. God willing, you will be ok. Please take it easy with a lot of bravery and patience.

Yes, Pills are Ok for all remedies.

'I'll stop the caster oil and garlic if need be when the other stuff arrives, but for now are they okay? '
Yes, you will have to stop when you start on homeopathic remedies. But, at the moment, it is up to you to take or not. For infection control, please get Calendula 200C in the pills form.

Good luck.
