Good home study course?

HI, I am looking to take a certificate program in homeopathy. I will need to take my course work through a home study program, as i have 2 small kids. I am very excited about this and have found a few schools but not sure if they are good?

Any advice would be helpful

I have looked into the brithish school of homeopathy, has anyone gone there?

thank you,

Hello,
I'm from Australia. Here there are no certificate courses from natural therapies colleges or universities, they are diplomas or degrees. However sometimes I notice a "study at home" advertisment in a magazine which offers homeopathy. I have heard of the British School of Homeopathy and I'm sure they would offer a good course. You should look into it. It is great for children.

thank you for the reply. Actually, I would love a degree, but in the US they still do not recognise it. But where I live there are a few homepaths, and they are very well respected and used a lot!

I did call the british institute, as well as since I live colorado, they have a school in Boulder , which is about 4 hours from me, and it is home study, as well as only 1 weekend a month for 10 months. It is a 2 year program.
I also noticed a school named.

The Australasian College of Health Sciences

anybody heard of this? It is in Oregon. but started in NZ.

thank you,

I just read your Q again and you ask if one knows if a school is any good. No, you will never know until you use some of the information and it works. One must always be willing to step out and see for themselves, no matter the advice.

I have an acupuncture friend that is two months away from becoming a Dr. of Orential Medicine. She has been working on this schooling for several years. This past year, about 6 months ago, Her acredited college closed it's doors without notice. All arrived for class to find a note on the doors. Luckily, there was another school in town that took them in.

You must step out, one never knows the future. It seems laid out, but it is never a sure thing...SABRA

HI, yes I totally understand as my girlfriend went to that school as well. It was in new Mexico. She had actually just finished!

She is now back in Colorado and we are going to work on helping each other once i go though my schooling.

For now I am taking a certification course in aromatherapy, as I have always been interested in this.

Since I would not be able to start my homeopathy work until the fall.

Thank you for the reply.

Dear Aspen4mom, Hope I have your name right, everything disappears when we post.

Why do you think you have to put off anything? Unless you prefer the aromatherapy. Both are learned by doing as much as taught.

Something for you to think about: Aromatherapy and homeopathy does not compliment one another.

With environmental illness so prevalent and getting more so, aromatherapy is forbidden to them. One will not be working with these people, and homeopathy helps them.

I encourage all to do what they want, but felt a need to point out a fact or two for you to think about...Sabra

I very much appreciate your reply, and I do understand the two are different, The aromatherapy is actually for me to make my own lotions and have an understanding of what is in products, and about essential oils, it is really something I am just interested in so the course is only the first level program.

thank you again,
