The ABC Homeopathy Forum

2 Year old hates to eat

At 2 days old my daughter suffered sever GERD. We gave her every homeopathic that would help her but to no avail we all suffered till she was 5.5 months. It then seemed to disappear. Since she started on solid food it has been a chore to get her to eat. She HATES to eat. Her pediatrician told us to hold out on her and she would eat with us when she was hungry. We let her go a almost 2 days and then gave in and let her have her yogurt. Being hungery does not entice her to eat. Her symptoms are aversion to eating, constantly wants her raw goat milk. Craves salt, her breath smells like her bowl, and rabbit like poops. She will eat yogurt, raw cheese and non citrus fruit. That is all I can get her to eat. She does not like meat or nut butters. Please help to stimulate a healthy appetite in her. PS her Dr told me I am 'Mismanaging her eating that is the problem.'

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What does he mean by- ' you are mismanaging her eating'

Go into some detail about that.

As long as she is getting enough protein everyday she is going to be
fine.

A lot of 2 year olds do this- they are not interested in food, they
are interested in playing.

We used to have a Dr. on here, now retired, who talked to a lot of
Moms about this same thing, to relax the child is not going to
starve-you don't want it to become a war. She can get a remedy for
the bowel movements and salt craving and then her food desires
will start to change.

He thinks we are mismanaging her food because I do not forced her to eat the same thing we do at meal time. I feed her her 'own' meal.

Start giving her nat mur 6x cell salt. 2 tablets that dissolve under
the tongue 3x a day.

Report back in how it is going after 5 days of this. Nat mur
has craving for salt, and bowel movements like she has.
A cell salt is very gentle, and works on the cells to bring
them into balance so that food and nutrients are absorbed
correctly. If she craves salt, she is out of balance.

We will try it. Thank you :)

We have had my daughter on the Nat mur for a week now and we really have not seen much for results. Her bowel movement is not as pebbly. But other than that her breath still smells of her bowel, the salt cravings are still there, her intense desire for milk and lack of appetite.

Hi,
when you first posted, you typed her breath smells like
her bowl, and I thought you meant whatever was in her
bowl that she was eating- not bowel.

Breath like this for a child, indicates her bowels are
impacted. Please answer the questions below, another
remedy needs to be added in.

1. How long has this sheep pellet stool gone on for?
2. How often does she move her bowels?
3.Is there a lot of straining but hardly anything comes out?
4.does she sweat a lot on her head and there is little or
no urge to have a bowel movement?

OOps sorry. I did not catch that spelling error.

1. A while. I want to say at least 6 months. However since infancy she has had problems with constipation.
2. 3 times a day, but lately only once in the evening,
3.She does strain. I would say on a scale of 1-10 around a 4. Then a small very smelly cluster of pellets comes out.
5.She sweats on the bridge of her nose. Her feet are always hot. At times I find her clammy, but warm. I would not know how to gauge her urge to move her bowel. It seems when she needs to go she leans forward strains a little, with the result of the pellets, then she carries on with whatever she was doing.

Hi,

I would like you to try the remedy Calcarea Carbonica 30c. Stop using
the nat mur 6x when you get the Cal Carb.

Give her two pills of this morning , noon, and evening. Dissolve
them in a couple tablespoons of water ( they take some time to dissolve
just so you know)

If after any of the doses , she has reactions, like going to
the bathroom with a more normal stool, etc then stop at that dose
and let it work. Give another dose only when you see the straining and
pellet like stool
start to return. When a remedy works, the gaps between giving it
will go longer and longer and each person is different.

If after the three doses are tried and in a day or so nothing goes
on the remedy is wrong, and another one needs to be tried.

Another thing you can do here is try to get her to drink a good
amount of water a day, squeeze some lemon in it and put in a little
honey, see if that appeals to her. Try to get her to have a couple
spoons of bran or bites of a bran muffin and see if you can get her
to take 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil in the morning-They have the
flaxseed oil at whole foods now with different flavors- it tastes
pretty good.

Hi-

Wait a couple days and then try Nat Mur 30c, 3pills under tongue- 3 doses-
4 hours apart. The Nat Mur Cell salt had some effect and I think
it just needs a higher potency of it.

If anything goes on in next couple days, hold off and let me know.

In the meantime, can you get some Flax seed oil- whole foods has
flavors now and they taste good. Give her a tablespoon of this in
the morning, this will help a lot. Also try to get her to take more
water if she is low in that area, put a little honey or fruit that she does like
blended into it.

Ok. I could only get my hand on the 6X Nat Mur. Should I just give her more pellets to compensate?

We are leaving for vacation on Sunday but I will try to keep you posted.

Hi,
If you want to continue the Nat Mur 6x you can do the same as before and
report in after your vacation and we will go from there.

best wishes,
