The ABC Homeopathy Forum

hvp, (scalp problem), hemorrhoid, IBS, help?

I have been looking into homeopathy for several of my current problems.
Basic info:
21 years old. Just over 5'9', 145 pounds (been 145 for years)

IBS: Irritable stomach/bowels since birth. Nothing ever done about it as child. Strong stomach cramps and gas upon eating. (not always anymore, just sometimes) Stopping dairy has helped. (Stopping dairy also helped to clear my kertosis palaris for the most part)

What I think is but may not be Psoriasis of the scalp: Started at about 16 in highschool, so I have had it slowly growing for 5 years (on back of scalp near nape of neck, it is not visible due to hair). Pick at scalp daily. Taking CLO has helped the wounds picking leaves, without Cod Liver Oil the psoriasis would leave a clear liquid. Not much blood. Scabs over. Sometimes close to healing wounds... but continuous picking.

Hemorrhoid: Started 5-6 months ago at the gyno, was told I had a small one. It has gotten worse since. Not much pain, mostly just itchy and swollen.

hpv: I have just discovered vaginal warts associated with hpv. They are slightly round and flesh colored. They do not itch or burn (yet). 2 sexual partners, current partner I have been with 6months, previous partner was a year 1/2.

I got tonsillitis in feb. Given penicillin, allergic, broke out in rash, tonsillitis went away but tonsils are still swollen and lumpy. The antibiotics caused my first yeast** infection. They have been reoccuring ever since.

I get stressed easy. I worry a lot.

I do temp work right now I cannot get time off to go to a doctor. I am hoping someone may have answers for me. I am very upset about the recent discovery of hpv. I am willing to answer any questions. :(

Hi Dr. Sharma,

Thank you for your reply, however I am not looking for a cure, just relief. I am mostly looking for relief in regards to my hemorrhoid and HPV as well as all the anxiety I feel due to these symptoms. I do not have the money for any kind of special therapies such as PEMF. I have no health insurance and I am working on limited funds. Will anyone be able to help me further or is relief hopeless the natural way?

(I would also like to note I am female)

Volly,

are you in the usa? The hpv can be cured by boosting your
immune system. I know many people who have cured hpv
by going to a naturopath and getting a vitamin specific regimen
and using things like a tiny wax suppository of vitamin c which
kills the virus on contact . People I know who went to
naturopaths and did some variation of this were cured in 2 months and over 10 years later have no hpv. You can google the
National Association of Naturopaths and at some point
you have to find the time and go there and get a protocol
going bc this starts to affect the cervical cells.

http://www.inspire.com/groups/national-cervical-cancer-coali....

http://www.thehealthychoice.net/hpv-human-papilloma-virus-su....
For the yeast , go experiment with a good probiotic that has
at least 8 strains in it, to repopulate your gut flora - all the
big health hmo's now tell everyone to start probiotics after
antibiotics for 2 to 3 months. We all have yeast in our gut
and the correct flora keeps them in check/the antibiotics destroy
the flora. You should go onto protein and vegetables for a month
to cut down on as much sugar as possible bc the yeast live
on sugar.

For the rest of your problems, fill out the form on here to have
remedies suggested.

Hi Simone,
Thank you so much for your reply! I will look into a naturopath when I am done with my temp work in a week or two. Here is some info:

Patient ID: Holly Sex: Female Age: 21

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?
I do not have just one main so I will have to post a few,

1a: Reoccuring yeast infections- This is my main if it comes down to it. They have been reoccuring since late February of 2013. February of 2013 is also when I got tonsilitis for the first time. I believe the yeast infection occurred when I was prescribed an anti-biotic, penicillin, this antibiotic I am allergic to, as it also broke me out in a rash on my torso. (I have taken very few antibiotics in my life and generally do not believe in pharma medicine like pain killers etc.) I think the yeast infection I have now is very mild, it itches a few times at night but then not many other times. The discharge from this is very thick and white, but not like cottage cheese. More just like a white paste. Not liquidy, and there is not a lot of it.

1b: Next worst would be my scalp: I thought I had Psoriasis because my grandfather had it. I had my boyfriend look at the back of my scalp and he says it doesn't look like psoriasis based on google pictures, or excema, so now I am not sure. The problem area is only the back of my scalp near the neck, the problem does not leave the hairline. I first started to have this problem when I was 16 (5 years ago), there was a small bump I picked on the back of my scalp and then I never stopped picking... as time went on I would find new places to pick. The places I picked would leak a clear watery liquid. I pick out of habit (and emotions), however more recently, probably starting almost a year ago the area of my scalp started itching badly. The first thing I do when I wake up every morning is heavily scratch the back of my head, and it itches all day every day. The only thing that helps heal this is Cod Liver Oil taken orally but this does not stop the itching.

1c Hemorrhoid: I remember as a little girl I would wipe front to back, and there would be a very small spot of blood on the paper. I associated this with being maybe dry broken skin near my anus, but now that I am older, I wonder if I maybe I had this problem very early on. I went in for my first pap smear April 2013, the gyno told me it looked like I had a small hemorrhoid. Around maybe Jan 2013 for a week or two every few days my butt hole would become extremely itchy. Visually I could see nothing wrong, I thought maybe I had the type of worms children get, and tried to wait it out. The itching eventually went away completely. I met my boyfriend in March. We did have anal sex and the first time he was very bad about it. He did not use any lube and shoved it in quickly, this really hurt me (first time attempting this) and I think from here it is what caused my hemorrhoid to get even worse (since it seemed I had one without knowing) The hemorrhoid just itches. I think maybe it is medium size? No blood, no pain, just very itchy.

1d: Acne: 2 years ago my face started breaking out very, very badly. I think this may be due to hormones, because my jawline is the worst, here i gt cystic deep and big acne, while around my nose and cheeks next to my nose is smaller more normal acne. Having acne has made me stressed, even more self conscious, and hopeless. It has been more emotionally destructive than any of my symptoms.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

2a: Post nasal drip- just annoying, Ive had it for several years, the only time I get sick is a sinus infection in the winter.

2b: inflamed tonsils: have been this way since february 2013, had tonsillitis and they never when back to normal. Before this I had very nice, flat tonsils with no bumps of imflamation at all. My left tonsil is larger than the right now also. no pain, just looks bad. I also I get tonsil stones.

2c: abnormal hair growth: I sometimes get a few thick black hairs growing out of my chin. They dont look like eyebrow hairs or scalp hairs I get maybe 1-2 a month which I pluck. I think it has something to do with hormones... started in highschool. So maybe 16? There is also a patch under my belly button that has oddly thick dark hairs.

2d: HVP: Just trying to get through this one... discovered them 3 days ago. Have been with my current boyfriend for 6+months now. Mostly hoping my immune system will take care of it soon.

2e: Back- I have had back problems for a few years. Mostly my mid to lower back will feel sore, my shoulders and neck muscles usually feel tense. I have a hard time relaxing muscles. Many times a day I will have to mentally go through my body and make muscles untense (even ab, stomach, and anus muscles)

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
Ughhh this is the worst. Having all these problems makes me feel so broken and useless. It makes me sad and frustrated and hopeless. I end up feeling very, very stressed trying to look for answers. I dont drink soda and I keep a somewhat good and healthy diet so it makes it even more frustrating.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
Sad, hopeless, insecure, anxious, unconfident and invaluable. Stressed. I often feel my partner deserves better because of my problems even though I know we are good for each other, I just feel like I am not good enough no matter how he may reassume me.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
I had a very irratable stomach according to my mother when I was a baby and little girl, I would be very gassy. In high school I usually could not eat breakfast from how bad it would make my stomache hurt, but later in the day it was usually be okay.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
I feel everything the worst probably 3-5pm or 8-9pm, the morning I dont feel much of anything except the itching.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Sugar makes things worse. I try to controll it but a few days without sugar becomes pretty hard. itching makes me feel better. Picking makes me feel better,

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
I think things like yeast infection and acne (especially jawline acne) are due to my hormones. Also periods are much lighter.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
I really dont notice... I think everything is always the same but some problems are too recent to know

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
I am hyper, happy, outgoing and friendly. I love smiling. When it comes to voicing options I am mild and watch what I say, if anything. I am easily agreeable, easily offended but try to not act offended, suspicious of some people but I try to be optimistc. I am very realistic, I assume the worst in case the worst will happen. My boyfriend is wonderful and supportive,he is such a good guy and I am very much in love with him and happy with our relationship.

Hi volly,
I have some questions for you.

1. When was your last pap smear? Is this when you were diagnosed with HPV?
What were you told to do about this?

2. Does your current bf have any symptoms such as genital warts?

( btw you should be using condoms until this virus has cleared)

3. Are you on birth control pills and if so , how long?
( birth control pills should be stopped bc they are another factor increasing the hpv)

4. On the yeast, have you tried the monostat 7 day treatment?

5. How do you know the skin problems are psoriasis? Was this looked at by
a doctor or not?

( you can read this link about hpv)http://www.chop.edu/service/vaccine-education-center/prevent...

1. When was your last pap smear? Is this when you were diagnosed with HPV?
What were you told to do about this?
My last pap smear was late April 2013. This is my first pap smear (they say be 21 years old or 2 sexual partners which is why it was my first pap) It came back completely normal. What I have is definitely the genital warts type of HPV, which I discovered about 4 days ago. After finding the warts, I called the doctors to ask about my pap smear. They said they do not test for HPV on pap smears until you are 30 years+ so while my pap was normal, it is possible I have something. (These are definitely warts, have not been seen by a doctor but it is very clear to me.)

2. Does your current bf have any symptoms such as genital warts?
My boyfriend has no symptoms of hpv (no genital warts) and he never has. So this could be dormant in him? (He does have inflammed tonsils like me though)

( btw you should be using condoms until this virus has cleared)
I read even using condoms is not safe enough, but I believe I did get this hpv from him based on timing.

3. Are you on birth control pills and if so , how long?
( birth control pills should be stopped bc they are another factor increasing the hpv)
I was on birth control for almost a month back in august 2013 I think. I stopped them because I was still getting yeast infections and knew the birth control could be making the yeast infections worse, that and when I go to the end of the pill cycle it made me very very nauseous.

4. On the yeast, have you tried the monostat 7 day treatment?
3 different months (probably March, april, may) I tried monostat 3 day. I thought they helped but I tend to get the yeast infection a few weeks before my period, so it would come back every time.(Except for the last 1-2 months which the yeast infection has never gone) I don't want those chemicals in my body anymore...

5. How do you know the skin problems are psoriasis? Was this looked at by
a doctor or not?

It was not looked at by a doctor, I asked a doctor but they said I need to go to a dermatologist. I just dont have time to bounce around, and then go to get tests, and then get prescribed expensive meds I cannot afford. I thought it was due to the scabs on my scalp and the itchiness but my mom and boyfriend have both said it does not look like psoriasis though my grandfather had it. My scalp is red and scabby but not in the same way as psoriasis.

Some other things:
I am cold very easily, usually the only person with a sweater and blanket at work, but I also get hot really easy. Face is very oily. My feet sweat a lot even when cold (clammy). My nose is always itching.

I edited the title of the forum thread since maybe I do not have psoriasis

Hi,

Ok Volly, a few more questions.

1. Who had the tonsil problem first, you or the bf?
It sound like you are giving this back and forth to
each other.

2. If the doctor said you have to go to the dermatologist
you have to go. Skin things are difficult to diagnose and
there are different remedies depending on what it is.
It does not sound like psoriasis and it has to be looked at.
You don't have to get the prescription for the medicine,
but you have to know what it is you are dealing with.

simone717 last decade
Hi again Volly,

I have thought this over and this is where I think you should start and then
lets see what is left.

1. Order the combination of the 12 tissue salts, it is called BC-28
you can get this from DKO naturals it is a Dr. Reckeweg brand and the company
is Canadian, they ship very fast around 3 days. Cell salts are a sub branch
of homeopathy, they have minute mineral traces in them and they balance
out the cell itself which then lets nutrients work correctly in the body.
You are indicated for a lot of cell salts, I think you are depleted, so it is better
to take the entire 12 of them for a couple weeks and see what is left.
You take 4 tabs, 4x a day.

2. Make a trip to whole foods, and get 5 things. A. A good general multivitamin,
that is in capsules in powder form. B. Get a multi strain probiotic from the
refrigerated section. You may have to experiment bc all brands do not work
the same with everyone. Take this once a day for 3 months to repopulate your
gut flora.C. Buy some calendula cream to put on the skin back of your neck,
this is antiseptic and heals the skin. D. Switch over from CDL to flax seed oil,
or another kind, reason being there is Vitamin A in most CDL and this will
be too much Vit A if you are taking vitamins. E. Very important- See if they
have any reishi mushrooms formula-They have been running out of these bc
it seems that many people are finding out about the benefits of these and
all the brands keep getting sold out, even on the net. You can get Host Defense
Reishi or Gaia Maitake Defense. These are powdered mushrooms in a capsule.
Huge immune system boosters, my family and others take two when sick and
the next day it is gone. You need to take two a day for at least a month, and your
bf should take them also, and he can also take the Cell salts BC 28. You can
order Gaia maitake off Amazon and usually find it for $20 rather then $30.

3. Try the homeopathic remedy Thuja 30c, do 3 doses - one dose a day
for 3 days. 3 pills under the tongue- do not eat or drink for a half hour before or after.
Thuja is indicated for warts, for hemarrhoid, for tonsils, and other things you have
mentioned including the neck skin.

4. Stop grapeseed extract it can irritate the stomach quite a lot. You are going
to have to stop the sugar and fruit drinks, pastry and so on, Yeast feed on the
sugar and make you crave the sugar. Just think protein and vegetables for a
month

I don't think you have to go to the naturopath right now as your pap smear did not
indicate a problem and you are young enough that if you get things in order now
it can clear everything. If the neck skin does not clear, please see the dermatologist for
right diagnosis. But this is a start to get back on track. The Yeast and the tonsils issue
are putting too much burden on your immune system, which is probably why the warts
are showing up.

This is a start, you can report back on here after two weeks of this to assess the effects.
Of course earlier, if you have any questions.

Regards,

Simone 717

Hi Simone,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! I've just felt very lost on where to start and I didnt want a doctor filling me with strange meds. I really appreciate it. I will start working to obtain these items, to answer your question,

1. Who had the tonsil problem first, you or the bf?
It sound like you are giving this back and forth to
each other.
A few weeks after the boyfriend and I first had intercourse in april I remember mentioning how annoyed I was that my tonsils were still inflamed from feb. I asked if his were inflamed out of curiosity and he let me look. When I saw that they were inflamed I asked if they had always been that way and he pretty much said yes. So I'm not too sure.

My question,

For the Thuja 30c I put the pill under my tongue and just let it dissolve and then swallow as it dissolves? I do not take it down with water? (Also is it 3 pills per day for 3 days or 1 pill per day for 3 days)
Thank you again!

Hi,

Check to see if whole foods has the Thuja 30c,
they have 2 brands of homeopathic remedies now,
either one will do. If they don't have it, you can
order off the ABC remedies site, and pick boiron
brand- it will be faster as it is out of San Diego.

You do not touch the pills, use the cap and let
them dissolve under the tongue-they melt. Don't drink any
coffee type things on the days you are taking and
it would be best to stay off coffee for a couple weeks.
You can have tea if you want.

You do have a lot going on at once and this is
much better than getting multiple drugs from the
doctors- the mushrooms are excellent, and you
won't notice anything bc they are food, you actually
have to remind yourself that you were not feeling
good the day before.

Hi, it is 3 pills per day . For 3 days then stop. Also if you
notice any big reactions after the first or second dose, stop
at that dose, and let me know.

Hi Simone,

Just wanted to let you know I am working on getting the items... money is very tight but I got more work than I thought I would, so I should have extra money later this week to make some purchases. Thanks for your help again and I will work to obtain these items.
