night mares

Hi
My son turned 3 and right after he is having night mares.

He is taler than his age but very slim. fair and black hairs. physically hyperactive. Appetite almost nill since he has born. for that reason he has given milk through nasogastric tube. all tests are clear. doctors couldn't find the reason of reduced appetite.
He just started to shout in sleep(after 5-6 hours of bit normal sleep). He is afraid of dark. his mood suddenly changes to sad and down in evening. He used to stare at roof. and points out blue and black colour. but in actual there is white colour. his favourite colour was blue but now he doesn't want to wear his clothes if that colour. we have blue tiles in wash room and he is afraid to go to toilet. he always sleeps with me. now want his father to be with him at night time. can't bear lights to be off at sleep time. several hundered times wants reassurance from us that there in nothing blue or black thing at roof +walls+ bed head underneath the bed. extremely sensitive to noises which a normal person can't hear with out extreme struggle. wakes uo after max 6 hours of sleep and see aroud him with pain of fear. it took almost 3 to four hours to get him back to sleep.
play alone at day care. and doesn't want to go to day care.
teeth grind sometimes and also speaks while sleeping but not frequently.

waiting for reply

Hi again

I gave aconite 30 three drops thrice daily for consecutive three days. Problem with shouting with fear in dreams is very much reduced. Evening sadness is much better.

He is still very restless at night. Frequent sitting ups and changing positions.

Two new things develop:

He has started to demand toys etc while sleep if not provided cried until wakes up.and he becomes very stubborn grumpy and weep with tears on every thing.

His Hg is 12 and he has pin worms. Doctor advised to give him Vermox.

Need ur suggestions.

Regards

hi akshaymohl
i stopped aconite. His fears are well controlled. no sadnes in evening n no shouting while sleeping. no more monsters are around his bed ect.
but restlessness is still there in sleeping. frequent sitting ups, light sleep is still there.
Before going to bed we always give him full meal. but in midnight he started to situp n scratch his skin and wheep then we give him milk and he falls a sleep soundly but after 3 hours we have to give him milk again. in total of 3-4 times of 12 hours sleep we feed him.if we were late in feeding him then he makes it a big issue crying, itching, wakes up n doesn't falls a sleep on that night.he wants different things like water to drink then refuse to drink. somtimes wantes to go out sometime cars then reject it.
he is 3 years n 3 months n we don't think he need frequent feeding while sleep. his teeths are becoming wider ddue to night feedings.
he does not listen to us. if we say no to any thing then shout and cry.

Hi,

Dr. Mohla will reply. I wanted to ask, have you
given the Vermox yet?

If he is itching , it sounds like that is from worms.

Also, it is best NOT to eat before going to sleep.
To have some hours gap between last meal and
going to sleep. Bc if you eat right before going to
sleep it can cause digestive upset and also bad
dreams.

yes i gave him vermox suspension and he is ok with worms. and it took almost 1.5 to 2 hours to go to bed after the dinner.

Most of his problem is due to worms but. Cina 30 one dose evening time for 5days for worm and mimmulus bach flower for fear and whitechestnut for same action but first get result from worm treatment.

akshaymohl last decade

Dr Mohla,

What does-- 'any imp' mean??

Navedsha,

You need to put more details on here bc Aconite is not a long
term remedy.

!. What are the small things he weeps over?
2.What helps make this better, consoling him, carrying him,
distracting him?
3.What makes this worse?
4.What does he eat every day?
5.What foods does he like, what food does he hate?
6.Is the bowel movement regular? What is the stool like?

Plays alone at day care and does not want to go there. It sounds
like he has separation anxiety. Does he play with other kids if
someone comes to your house? Is he a child who clings to you?
Talk more about the history of this.

Anything else you can think of.
