Help with herpes

I'm a 29 year old female suffering with genital herpes for 2 years. Symptoms are worse with periods usually right after. Outbreaks are usually intense itching and burning with irritation not typical blisters and occur monthly.

Worse at night, better with heat.

Cold hands and feet. Suffer occasionally with night sweats and wake up soaked but cold. Hair loss and psoriasis/eczema on scalp and sometimes face. Muscle spasms in feet and calves at night.

Small appetite and little to no thirst. Crave sour or salty food. Tall and thin. Crave alcohol and cigarettes.

History of childhood trauma and suffer with anxiety, mostly social.

I hope this is enough information, any help would be greatly appreciated I have tried nat mur 200 with some success but still suffering with outbreaks.

I'm happy to answer any other questions that are needed and hope someone can help me.

Regards

Need some clarifications..

In your initial post you said ' Symptoms are worse with periods usually right after.'

I understand that the eruptions strike a few days before periods and they are worst just before the flow begins. After the flow begins, all eruptions gradually start subsiding by themselves.

Please confirm the above if its true.

You also said in your last post 'Worse after menses'.

This is in contradiction to your earlier statement.

Please confirm which one is true. Does the flow bring an end to all your sufferings every month?

Is your skin sensitive to blunt impacts and turns blue or purple even getting lightly bruised?

Do tight clothing around waist or neck make you feel suffocated?

How do you react to the sight of a snake? Will you allow it to go its way or will you get scared even if it was not chasing you?

How do you feel when you wake up from sleep generally? Is it usually a refreshed feeling or tired feeling. You wrote you wake up tired. Can you say that this tired feeling after waking up happens to you most mornings?

I understand you aren't in a relationship or having a good social life. Do you think you feel some kind of sexual tension almost always that subsides only after either a sexual encounter, self gratification or when the flow begins?

Please confirm all the above to me as these are critical to selection of your remedy.

Hi,

The flare ups occur within a few days of my period ending, so about mid cycle since my period are long. They start with intense itching and a small area of irritation and swelling will appear within a few days.

I don't feel that I bruise too easily

Can't stand tight clothing around neck, waist doesn't bother me too much.

Can't stand snakes, the sight of them terrifies me.

I don't feel refreshed upon waking. I feel exhausted and has been typical for me my whole life. I have to drag myself out of bed but fight sleeping at night.

Sex drive seems low recently but could be due to current situation. But I would say when I'm healthy that what you describe is accurate.

Thanks for reviewing my case let me know if any other information is needed.

Can you confirm, if true, that all your sufferings seem to subside when the flow begins every month?

rishimba last decade
Yes, I would say that most ailments do not seem to occur once my period starts.

Night sweats occur usually in the week prior. Hsv occurs the week after.

Kallie13,

Your present homeopathic constitution is LACHESIS.

To get a quantum jump in health at all fronts, be it, sleep issues, night sweats or menstrual cramps or sking eruptions, this remedy will help you in the long run.

To start the treatment, you may take on a single day, two doses of LACHESIS 200C half an hour apart. Take the doses first thing in the morning on a weekend so that you can go back to sleep again for about two hours once the second dose has been taken. The point is, these doses have to be taken in empty stomach and clean mouth. Nothing should go into the mouth for the next 2 hours for the remedy to get absorbed.

One dose would be 3 drops of remedy in 10 ml of water slowly sipped up.

Please don't take coffee, alcohol, mint or wear strong aromatic perfume for a few days after taking the dose.

Wait and watch yourself for the next 10 days and tell me what you feel. If you see improvements in your sleep and night sweats and have an overall feeling of well being, you know the remedy is right.

If LACHESIS doesn't bring out any response in 10 days, go for 1M potency single dose from another pharmacy.

Keep me posted. I will be around.

Hi Rishimba,

I have purchased the remedy and will follow up with you soon. Interesting that I remember having recurring dreams/nightmares of snakes as a child. Very excited to see how things turn out and want to say I appreciate you taking time to help me out!

Kallie13 last decade
Also, I forgot to mention that the remedy I purchased is in pellet form. I remember seeing a way to prepare this in water and wanted to confirm this is accurate and your recommendation on preparation/administration?

Regards

Kallie13 last decade
Kallie13,

You can take the remedy in the pellet form as well. Pop two pellets into your mouth and place it under your tongue. Don't crush or bite the pellets. Just let them dissolve and get absorbed.

Taking the remedy in the pellet form is as effective provided you allow the pellet to stay in your mouth for long. The best way to take the pellets is to place it under the tongue and go to sleep.

You seemed to be in lachesis state by the modalities of your sufferings so I checked out the typical fear of snakes in such individuals. In most cases its seen that lachesis individuals fear snakes though its not a confirmatory test.

If you wanna read the MM of lachesis you may find many things common that you have not even told me!

If this remedy doesn't address your skin problem, come back to me for an alternative prescription.

Hi Rishimba,

I took the remedy last Friday. I was experiencing a mild outbreak that occurred the day before, a small patch of irritation on the left side, which cleared completely 2 days after taking the remedy. Sleep has been a bit better I mostly noticed feeling better in the morning, more refreshed than usual. Anxiety has remained the same maybe even a bit more from time to time socially, but may be too soon to tell if there is any relation.

I have noticed 'prodome' Hsv symptoms the past couple of days with nerve tingling on the left side but no new outbreaks or symptoms.

One strange thing that may be unrelated is my tongue appears different, has a nice pink health look that is unusual for me. Again, may be unrelated but wanted to give you a clear picture of any changes that have occurred. Any recommendations on how I should proceed?

Thanks so much

Kallie13 last decade
Kallie13,

Good to know the remedy has created a response in you. It seems overall you are doing better than what you were before taking the remedy. If your sleep has improved, it is an indication that remedy selection was correct. You will feel a quantum jump in health in the days to come.

Pink tongue is a sign of good digestion.

Finally, regarding the prodome symptoms you may be knowing that they happen before the outbreaks. It may take a few hours or a couple of days for the outbreaks to surface after the tingling sensations is felt. Since eruptions have not shown up yet, it can be assumed that your immune system has taken hold of the disease.

In homeopathy, there is a law called the 'Hering's Law of Cure' which says symptoms usually back-track and old symptoms reappear before cure.

Let's wait and watch.

Don't repeat the dose now, atleast for another week, till you find you are improving.

In case you see any new outbreaks and other symptoms recurring, you may take another dose of lachesis just like you have taken earlier.

Keep me informed.

Hi Rishimba,

This morning I had a second outbreak. This ococcurred on the right side and was more of a blistered rash which is different for me.

I took a second dose this afternoon. I experienced an unusual itching sensation on my feet and lower limbs for about an hour or two after. Also, digestive upset after eating.

I'm wondering if I should wait a bit and see what happens or if you feel this indicates a new remedy.

Kallie13 last decade
Kallie13,

I don't think at this stage you should go for another remedy. I reckon you should wait and watch.

In the next few days, tell me if you see any change in the intensity, texture or sensations of the new outbreaks. If its the same as before, I will suggest an alternative remedy.

But, if you see the intensity and your itching sensations are gradually decreasing with each outbreak, stick to lachesis.

rishimba last decade
Rishimba,

The outbreak has continued over the last couple of days and even spread a bit. This new oubreak is more intense and consists of a small cluster that bled and single fluid blister. More painful with burning and itching. Normally, I have been experiencing a flat rough patch that is small or barely visible and burns and itches before but subsides once the oubreak begins.

Mentally and emotionally I have felt pretty much the same. A bit more withdrawn. Craving sweets and salt.

Let me know if any other information would be helpful.

Thank you!

Seems lachesis hasn't helped as we had expected. The only other remedy that has the same modalities as yours is DULCAMARA.

Lachesis was based on our totality so I thought it would help you on all fronts. If it doesn't help you in your skin, please go for dulcamara.

You can take it in 30C potency thrice a day when the eruption starts. Take it for 2 to 3 days and observe the changes.
