The ABC Homeopathy Forum

VAAT - Homeopathic equivalent

Ayurved mentions 3 major causes of ailments in the Human body, viz: KAPHA, PITTA & VAAT.

KAPHA - means the phlegm which is developed in the bronchial tubes on account of so many reasons.

PITTA - means the acidity which is developed in the stomach on account of so many reasons.

VAAT - means the gas which is developed in the entire human body, and which is the cause of body pain.

Can anyone guide me how to tackle VAAT in the body, which moves form place to place causing muscular reheumatic pain.

The VAAT is also resulting in an obesity.

Positive feedback from all will be appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
There are direct symptoms recorded for each homeopathic remedy. You will find symptoms for the remedy in the Materia Medica and the Repertory.
It is better to look for the symptoms straight instead of looking for a concept like VAAT.

Dear Sir,

Thank you. I am aware that medicine for rheumatic pains can be traced via the repertory & confirmed via the materia medica.

What I am trying to understand and co-relate the TRIDOSHAS,so that we get another perspective of looking at these symptoms.

My wife who is 49 suffers from muscular rheumatism, which is termed as VAAT. Hence the interest.

VAAT is not a concept based on gas, it is a concept based on neurology. But as i said earlier co relating this concept with homeopathy is quite difficult.

Thank you sir. This is just an academic quest trying to understand the causes of VAAT and its relation to obesity of the human body.

I am also trying to understand the causes of obesity. I have found that in some patients obesity is caused by formation of gas which leads to bloating.

In others it is due to retention of excess water in the body which again causes bloating and obesity.

In a few it is also due to excessive build up of fat, which causes bloating and obesity.

Understanding the root cause will help to relieve the patient.

Hence the interest.

It is necessary to ascertain the causative factor. Allopaths also give different remedies based on causation. They will give diuretics if obesity is due to accumulation of water, and laxative if due to bloating and constipation. Causative factor should be given due importance in any analysis.

Thank You very much.

Yes causative factor is very important and should be looked at thoroughly and then co-related with the patient's constitutional remedy.

I will revert back in a couple of days with a question which has been nagging me for quite some time and will seek help from all of you out there.
