This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
First, for those looking at this as a herb- google it on wikipedia, etc. but here
is a warning-Horny goat weed extract has SIDE EFFECTS from long-term consumption as a sexual stimulant. A DANGEROUS decrease in blood pressure is common in long-term users , as well as cardiovascular problems. If you're looking for a long-term (and quick acting) sexual aid, check out Viagra and Cialis,( I am not promoting
viagra, etc- the person who wrote this is saying this to those who want to buy this as an herb and advising that this herb is NOT safe)

Second - you need to understand what a proving is in homeopathy.

The homeopath would be taking a person's case- mental, physical , emotional
what makes things better and worse and so on. If the state of the person
matched what the proving findings of this remedy were, then it could be
prescribed.

EXAMPLE OF A HOMEOPATHIC PROVING- let's consider Rhus tox (Poison Ivy) - is done by homeopathically trained medical professionals, giving approximately 100 healthy people a certain amount of the formula and systematically observing them over specified time. As one would expect with this particular plant, itching vesicles would appear, but a lot of other unexpected symptoms also would occur. Trained homeopaths are taught to observe people systematically, beginning with the mind and emotions and working through the whole body, to ascertain what makes the symptoms better or worse. Even unique, peculiar differences in subjects' dreams, thoughts or behavior are recorded in detail.

The detailed responses from the provings are valuable insights into how we respond or interact with the specific substances of our environment. All this information is recorded and used to match certain symptomatic patterns in the proving group with similar symptomatic patterns in people outside the proving group.

In this manner, the broad spectrum official homeopathic substances is then homeopathically potentized and given to people who are displaying the specific symptomatic patterns demonstrated in the associated provings. The FDA, along with the majority of other regulatory organizations from other countries around the globe, accepts this research and uses it as their guidelines for drug registration, claims and labeling. The majority of the major countries have applied this valuable homeopathic research safely and effectively from both clinical and regulatory perspectives!
