A severe problem with shaving

Hello

I have had this painful and disabling problem with shaving for 3 years now. It is all neurological, my tactile sense is hypersensitive. I guess doctors would call this hyperesthesia.

The shaving itself is not painful but the symptoms begin usually 1-4 hours afterwards. There are 2 phases.

The initial symptom is burning and sensation of heat, it feels like my face is boiling. Strangely these pains spread all over the body. The whole body feels irritated and inflamed on the surface, but there is no redness on the skin. It feels like the whole body had been 'skinned'. The face feels sore and tender.

This phase might last for 10-30 hours. During it I must not take a warm shower, it will irritate the body even more. Scratching the scalp might also make the symptoms worse. Using a computer during this phase will worsen the burning (my emf sensitivity is at its worst soon after shaving). Cool breeze helps a little with the boiling.

Then the next phase begins: now it is the growing beard/stubble that starts to bother me. There might still be some burning left but now the main issue is tingling and pinpricks - and again these can be felt all over the body. The facial hair feels abnormally sharp, like sandpaper.

After 5-6 days the beard starts to bother me too much and I have to shave - and the cycle starts all over again. The most tolerable period is usually 2-4 days after shaving when the initial irritation is gone and the beard hasn't grown that much yet.

Any ideas what might help with this problem?

Thank you very much!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Try CARBO ANIMALIS 30C every four hours whenever you have this burning pain again after shaving.

Take some 3 to 4 doses for 2 days maximum and observe if it created a favorable response.

Thanks!

I have read some books about homeopathy and this remedy was bit of a surprise. Can you tell me what made you think of that? Just curious...

Look up the material medica of carbo an and read its peculiar modality-worse after shaving.

Sensation of burning with this modality lead me to this remedy... probably will produce a response in you.

Okay, I see, thanks for the answer. I am just wondering if this remedy fits with the second phase of the problem with the 'sandpaper facial hair' and all that.
