Sore throat

HI can someone please advice on what to take for sore throat. My throat is really painful when swallowing, it started hurting when the weather changed from summer to fall and the temperature dramatically fall. It gets better when drinking hot drinks, and is worse at night when sleeping. The throat pit is red, the tonsils are not so red, and there is no white patches. Yesterday i took one dose Aconite 30 and today in the morning one more dose. Was this the right remedy? How should I continue?

take aconite 30 as u are taking
and in 200ml of hot water add 4 tabs of nat phos 3x and nat mur 3x ( you may keep the mixture in a bottle after it cool down )take the mixture 2 times a day (one dose of mixture should be about 50ml)
