boy with autistic features

I know a boy who is not verbal, though he will ocassionally say a word spontaneously. He most resembles an autistic child but he's not really in his own world, nor does he lack emotions. He's more social than that. He also has seizure activity which is probably interfering with his ability to communicate. He has a bloated stomach, he will bite himself, he has difficulty relating to others, gets nervous around people when he first meets them. Cina remedy was tried with him, and while there seemed to be some improvements, one thing that cropped up was urinating on the floor on purpose. He had done it in the past I think but now it is daily. I don't think he is doing it in front of people. His mom and I have wondered about Bufo but he's not really masturbating. He has done this in th epast on occasion, very minor. Not being in his own world and not lacking emotions doesn't really fit with bufo either but some of the other things like the seizures/autism/biting self, difficulty relating to others does fit bufo. Are these enough to give bufo a try? Are there any other remedies that you know of that match autism-like symptoms and seizure activity?

I'm sure you've considered going to professional homeopath first -since both epilepsy and autism are curable with homeopathy, besides: actually the diagnosis does not matter but symptoms. Like his seizures.
What started them (fright?grief? something else?)When do they happen? What makes them better/worse?

Why do you think he needs bufo?

I will have to ask about cancer history. I know the family has a history of autoimmune problems. As far as what brought on the seizures, the first big seizure the boy had was when he tried IP6, which is a supplement that stimulates the NK (natural killer) cells and also helps to remove excess iron stores. The seizure activity may have been there at low levels for a long time in that he had been developing normally and then regressed/lost language around age 2 or so. At this point, I don't think he's had any more seizures since that big one because he has been taking medication that controls seizure activity. As far as wondering about bufo, I was mainly wondering about it because of the seizures but like I said, his mom doesn't see too much of him in that remedy.

Accorrding to Murphy's repertory there are 5 remedies for autism in children: THUJA, CARCINOSIN (both if caused by vaccinations) OPIUM, CANNABIS-I, NAT-M. Bufo is not here-but of course there might be other rem. than these 5.
There are many remedies which have seizures in their picture, not just bufo. To select the right remedy you need to find the"rare, peculiar and strange symptom".

Question for Astra. This is my belief...that my child can be cured of seizures & autism. Do you know of anyone with this experience? I am in Central Illinois...feeling very alone in my research/search for homeopathic remedies for my child. Thank you for the hope...I am very idealistic, positive and determined!

He is located in conneticut, I do not live there either, I;m in NY but I send him videotapes of my son and do phone consultations.It works out great. Sherry...thanks so much. I have heard of Dr. Herscu. I've always wondered how it would be to have a long-distance homeopath so it's encouraging to hear that it works well for you. My daughter has many challenges including a severe seizure disorder, non-verbal, excessive drooling (indicative of mercury poisoning?!?), raspberry or blubbering sounds, not toilet-trained...but she's incredibly social, affectionate and loving. A little "daymaker." Many of the characteristics of Opium & Mercurius viv. I still wonder about that post..."since both epilepsy and autism are curable with homeopathy". I would like to see those studies/success stories. It's really difficult to find the success stories. Namaste' to you and thanks for sharing...Jord Mor

jord Mor, my son didn;t have language and he did have lots of heavy metals including mercury, we also have been using Dr. Buttar's (he has a website) protocol for removing heavy metals, my son is starting to mommy, no , daddy, more, he's eleven and lost his language at two. We have been seeing the metals come out, my son's the same way very affectionate and loving but would have outbursts that are going away since the metals are leaving. He has been on stramonium and belladonna in the past and used Thuja to take away affects of the vaccines. One book that is a great read is the impossible cure written by Amy Lansky, she was a mother that cured her son of autism and went on to get a degree in homeopathy. It's got alot of good info in it.
