Harmful???
Hi: how to know if a homeo rem is causing harm rather than healing?I took silica for teeth abscesses and felt very well on silica 200 C. Prescribed by my homeo. Wonderful, worked very well.
Started on chelidonium, for liver and gallbladder. For a week, felt needed to sleep all the time, no energy, wipe out,felt as if the body, all systems and cells NEEDED that much sleep day and night.
I stopped it for two days now, but still feel the same.
Now, how do I know if it was helping or not?
I also started on silica LM6 this morn, and slept most of the day, felt the same as for the last week. We all know sleep is resting and healing, but that much sleep?

Are you self prescribing these things?
What is the potency you took for cheledonium?
When you take a remedy and it has any effect good
or bad- then you stop taking the remedy and see
what the the remedy is doing, how long it lasts.
If you have felt this wipe out feeling in the past, it
is likely the cheledonium is aggravating and then
should stop and you start feeling mentally better.
If you took doses after this first went on, then you
overdosed. This could go on for awhile- you have
to wait to see what happens.
I assume the Silica LM 6 was prescribed?
I don't know if you are going to a homeopath who just
does homeopathy or a naturopath- but prescribing
another thing while having effects from the first thing
and not knowing that outcome is not right.

I am under the supervision of a homeopath. Everything is prescribed.
Potency of the chelidonium is 6x.
I think I understand why any time of energy medicine does not work for me.
There are too many damaged cells, so, when new cells form, they are also dammaged. A surplus of free radicals, oxidants.
When I take homeopathy, or acupuncuture, tried breathing methods, mudras, etc.. its does not work, because all the cells are damaged, very few cells are not dammaged.
BTW, I read what the toxicity of a prescribed medication did to me many years ago, and caused terrible damage to the body, same as chemo, but it was not chemo.
So, could be that whenever I take homeopathy, it does not have any expected results, if all cells are mostly damaged including renewals of cells, and ion channels are dysfunctional etc.. then it could explain, same as with patients who had chemo and radiation.
So, perhaps I should take all homeopathic remedies for now...sadly.

Often the LM's are given for a reason, when the patient
aggravates a lot on other potencies or has some pathology
going on.
I don't think what is going on is harmful for you- it is a matter
of getting the remedy and potency and dosing correct for you.
To understand what your homeopath is doing- one would
have to know your case and all your history. The 6x of cheledonium
is probably to clear out real physical issues with your liver. If you
have real toxic damage to the liver, you would want to build it
up first or all eliminatory organs up to handling any detox.
I am guessing here, but maybe the homeopath backed
off cheledonium and since Silica worked well in 200 is trying
to use that remedy in LM to increase your vital force that way.
You can if you want post your case on here to get a second
opinion-however each homeopath can look at the case a
bit differently - don't give up, try the LM as prescribed and
see what happens.
( I think your last line was meant to be- 'perhaps I should NOT'-
is why I am saying this.)

I also wonder why you are being taken off a remedy that worked well? Was there some kind of reaction or negative response on Silicea 200 that caused the prescriber to change remedies or potencies?
