Why do we need to take multiple pills/drops?

I never understood why (with homeopathic remedies being energy medicine, not physical) we are told to take 3 or 4 pills or drops. The effect should be the same, shouldn't it - a little zap to stimulate the subtle energy bodies....?
I can only guess it's purely a cynical move to sell 4x the product.
Anyone have any legitimate reasons for this?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You are not at all wrong. But it need not necessarily for selling more.

Firstly, give just single small pill to your to all your patient and see what happens?

Secondly, write a prescription for single mesicated pill to pharmacy and see what happens. I know several pharmacies that refuse to dispence anything less than one oz.

Thirdly, it's for doctors won satisfaction that if not one, for any reason, other other pill would stimulate. For that matter even one pill also is not required as olfaction works too.

Considering all above reasons why not give some extra pills as the final effect is not going to change. I decide number of pills as per patient's mentality. For myself and family members who understand well only single pill, for patients with material mentality 5 some times even 10 pills for a dose. It dosesnt make difference but repetition does.
