The ABC Homeopathy Forum

suffering from chronic amebiasis since last 1.6 years.

hello all,

i am 30 years old man, Indian , i used to live outside home for approximately 6 years, i ate outside and lot of junkfood, i even took some steroids accidentally because i was gyming, but i forfeited that as soon as knew. I used to get some amebic attacks in between and because i am a pharmacist i managed it with metronidazole, it was fine, then i had a bad attack of it in march 2015, i went to a lot of doctors but everyone prescribed nitroimadazoles, that subsided symptoms for sometime and as soon i left the medicine, after some days the same condition returned. one doctor even said that i am suffering from post infection ibs. my main symptoms that come and go intermittently are:
1. mucous in loose stool
2. some streaks of blood (only if i ignore it for long enough, 3 times till now)
3. cramping in lower left abdomen and sometime on the right side
4. weight loss is only when the attack is on, as soon as i complete the course of metrogyl, i start to gain weight.
5. i tried herbal drugs but that gave me even more symptoms.
6. bloating and burping all the time
7. i got to toilet 2-3 times when relapsed, otherwise once a day
8. pain in rectum
9. dull and pricky pain in different part of abdomen.
10. diloxanide furate is the drug that relieves me the most.

i haven't tried homeopathy, though i consulted one, and he said it will take a lot of time to resolve and its a very stubborn disease. was he right? please help me to resolve this issue. its really affecting my professional and personal life.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Yes, it could be somewhat time consuming this problem as it is a chronic disease. If you leave it alone for this reason you may have to suffer life long and it may start producing other complications later. The most common would be nutritional deficiencies and related disorders. But it all depends on your own health tendencies.

In my opinion, actually, you don't have any better choice than homeopathy.

However, at present you take following prescription give it at least one week time and report. You may need still more treatment.

Please start with following prescription:

1. NUX VOMICA 200C , pills (buy minimum qty dispensable at the shop), take 5 pills (for one dose) 1st dose in morning and 2nd dose in the evening for only one day, (NO EXCESS DOSES PLEASE).
Nothing else to eat or drink 1 hour before and 1 hour after the doses.
(This dose works for several days. So, keep patience).

Do’s & don’ts:
1. Stay away from Strong odors.
2. Do not touch medicines or spill them. Use the cap of container (of same medicine) to transfer the medicines.
3. Place the prescribed dose under the tongue and let it dissolve. Keep the dose for at least 2 minutes in mouth.
4. Keep medicine containers airtight, away from direct sunlight, heat, any smell and children.
5. Avoid strong smells and odors AFAP.
6. Do not take any other medicines for any health problems. Most symptoms go as they come within 24-72 hours.
7. Report any problems & seek appropriate advice.
8. Otherwise report progress after 1week.
