Urgent otitis media
My sister today woke up with right ear closed and slightly aching. Its due to a cold flu she was having. The doctor confirmed it is liquid underneath the ear drum. Please advise, is it silica?
Thank you

Its the third day of the treatment and there is only a slight 10% relief. The ear is still closed, the water is still inside the eardrum, and there is low fever. There is no discharge and not significant pain. Please advise, thank you

Any suggestions? She doesnt have pain and she hears ok, but the liquid is still there.
The doctor suggests antibiotics and cortisone and we are trying to avoid them. She took also silica 200 but nothing changed.
Thank you
