john:

bad news - i cannot find the pulsitella. i am living in a temporary place, and in a temporary state - i will be leaving soon - so, all my belongings are in 'storage' - the boiron remedies i have on hand are all new - i just called the stores to go buy the pulsitella and they are closed - there is one store i will try which is open and has remedies but i think they only carry 12c - will that be ok?

ploutos last decade
yes use any potency can get at this time...

John Stanton last decade
do i give more of the 12c because it is smaller than 30c

ploutos last decade
just get it and give same as directed for 30c---only difference may need repeat--so save the water mix after adminstering 1st dose..

John Stanton last decade
ok john - i just returned from the store - the pulsitilla rack was empty but something kept telling me to look in the other remedies - sometimes people put things back in the wrong place.

well, i looked and there it was, one pulsitilla in the wrong section. someone from "up there" was helping me.

so, i will make the remedy and give it in about five minutes.

ok john - it's done - i found an empty spice bottle that was the perfect size for 9 tablespoons of filtered water - waited for the pellets to dissolve, succussed 10 times, took in a little bit in the glass dropper and opened her mouth before she could rip my hands off, and put in the pulsitilla - a little more than 'a' drop, but not much.

will keep you informed - i will pray very hard.

thank you so much for your kindness.

kisses from little dafni!

God John - I feel awful having you tied up with this issue - I am not someone who ever asks for favors in my life - that is how I was raised - but I cannot thank you enough for being there over and above....

Well, it's been at least half an hour now - she just came down from the comfy covers of my bed with what looked like a little bit of energy - I offered people tuna, which I bought for them tonight and she turned away - also, from the dry food which she loves.

She then went to the litter box, strained and strained - I wiped her behind and there was nothing on the paper but, there was a spot of orangy colored stool on the floor where she put her hinney down waiting for me to open the bathroom door. There was nothing in the litter box, and nothing on the paper, but there was something on the floor.

She is now back on the bed, on HER pillow.

ok--no push food at this time---she will let you know without any question--when she ready--and when ready she wont be very fussy..

repeat dose from mix--you know --succus 7-10 times and 1 drop--do this NOW..

and dont concern yourself about me here doing this--accept it as it is...

It is now 11:22 PM and she just sneezed 3 or 4 times - I went in to look and she was "washing her paw" - then curled up to sleep.

Good night John - she is sleeping and I am going to sleep - I will take my "sleeping pill" (I also have insomnia if you can believe this) and hopefully wake up to a healthier and revived kitty, gently stroking my face with her paw, asking me to get up and feed her.

Dafni says, "Bonne Nuit Uncle John"

ploutos last decade
hello ploutos,
How is the kitty doing?

If she still not eating, try putting your finger in something you want to get her to eat and then put it to her lips so you can tempt her.

That is what I have done when my dog has been so sick and wouldn't eat. I would cook her some chicken and add some salt because he won't say no to salt no matter how sick he is. I'm happy if he eats just the juice.

Hope all is well. God bless your kitty.

Hello John and Hello Pat:

John, I owe you an update on Dafni - I had a phone consult with my homepathic vet in Florida today - I filled him in with what was going on - he stated that the biopsy would only prove that she either has cancer or irritable bowel sydrome.

Since I do not believe in chemotherapy and all that crap, especially not for innocent animals, and with the results being nothing more than possibly a month or more of life, we decided to go with the cortisone .

He said that if it is irritable bowel then she will get better, if not,...... well, I will just dry my eyes out. I cannot fight DESTINY!

Thank you Joh and I will keep you posted.

She did get hydration through an IV - but still not eating.

Good night

Good morning John:

By the time I took her to the vet yesterday, she was very weak - no water no food - but since we returned from the vet yesterday, she was given the hydration on IV, a pepcid AC shot and there was one more thing which I forget.

I am totally exhausted (have low iron and hemoglobin too along my my high blood pressure). Well when she came home she was more altert, did not eat anything except for a "few licks", but went to the bathroom a hundred times - by the time I went to bed last night "dark loose stool" was coming out where for days nothing came out.

This morning she is in her bed with the cover (it is like a little cave, cats like to curl up in little dark places). I gave her a dish of food, with the fiber in it and a little olive oil. I was surprised that she ate - more than ususal.

As for when she is handled, well she is too weak to resist anymore.

That's it - I have to give her cortizone twice a day with the pepcid ac andwe should know soon if she is better.

No,John, it was not the stringy mucous - but rather just typical, dark, but loose, stool, not a big amount but enough to see.

Also, she has been sneezing a lot for the last couple of days since the other night with the pulsitilla.

ploutos last decade
whats he thirst like?

how consistent is passing stool??

John Stanton last decade
Hi John:

Sorry I took so long - had to deal with my own medical problems today.

First of all this morning she ate with "vigor" - not too much but with excitement.

Then when I came home tonight she ate canned food, and a ton of this special treat which I bought called Greenies. She ate a lot of that - she really likes dry food.

Unfortunately, I have not seen her drinking any water!! And she keeps sneezing and keeps swallowing a lot as if very dry throat is trying to swallow. Dont know what she did in the bathroom all day - I was out and tonight I am totally worn out from weakness. She has been on the bed all evening.

Any ideas?

ploutos last decade
hmm ideas--no thirst?

how many doses cortisone she get already?
what exact name of med being used?

any wetness/mucous or such concerned with sneezing?

she evr have sneezing as such before in health history?

John Stanton last decade
She is getting 5mg of prednisone twice a day - today was the first day I gave her medicine - she had the cortisone shot at the vet's yesterday --

The other medicine is 0.3mls Flagyl twice a day *liquid* which she absolutely hates and I must get it in the back of her mouth because it makes her "drool"-

Now, I did manage to give her another cortisone (prednisone) tonight but she has disappeared UNDER the bed and I have not given the Flagyl. I did not want to give both at the same time because she gets very upset.

As for her sneezing, the vet checked her nose yesterday and said that it was "wet" but not mucousy - she also sounds like she has extreme congestion when breathing. I have not heard her sneezing however in the last couple of hours. She is still UNDER the bed.

And, she has never, ever sneezed before - she has never been sick before now!

John - perhaps you can come up with something for another cat I have - she is also 14 - she is the biggest "pain in the neck" (at least that is what she has become for me now) I am so stressed and dealing with debilitating medical problems and then poor Dafni, that this one is driving me crazy.

She never sits still, she is back and forth into the bathroom a hundred times a day, she could, would and tries to eat 24 hours a day - while the other two are more delicate.

She is very jealous, possessive, a bully and a bit of a "neurotic" - she licks her paws and tummy constantly - I have tried everthing - I wish she would settle down, stop begging for food all day long, and just behave in a more natural, healthy fashion.

God, everything comes at once - I cannot take the pressures in my life anymore - everything goes wrong.

Take care John
