Cat congestive heart failure

15 yr cat just diagnosed congestive heart failure. Dont want to use vet prescribed lasix. Did not buy. Whatever I buy this is for rest of his life. Need to consider price and how often a day to give. Was told on animal forum to try crataegus digitalis or strophanthus. Any advice please. Cat coughs when gets up from sleep. Mostly sleeps during day too. Lethargic. Still eats but not as much. Switching to raw liver and chicken from wet and dry kibble.

Since I have to wait for order of digitalis I was able to find some on Amazon (same brand) and got yesterday 2/14/24. Tried to give 5 drops in tuna liquids and then shrimp liquids from cat food cans. Cat would have nothing to do with this. Then I tied syringe on both mixes and couldnt keep cat still to get in mouth. Do you have any suggestions? Also read that this herb can remove electrolytes and I have not investigated on how to replace yet. If you have any suggestions that would be great. Thank you for your time. I live your site.
