Are these the same?

Hi, do you know the difference between these 2 Amara Ignacia potencys please? I read CK and K are the same, so these 200CK and 200K should be the same, but then why the same seller (both from Boiron) would make 2 different ones? strange. Thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
C or CK are abbreviation used for potency or power of dynamization also known as centesimal scale, it stands for dilution up to level of 1:100,koraskovian scales stand with CK , they are almost same ,C is hahnemanian scale, suppose we write 30C OR 1000C is 1M or 10000CK or 10000C will be 10M, yes they represent same

Thanks for your help Anuj. ok K is the koraskovian scale, here both products are K so they are not hahnemanian, right? So if they are both koraskovian why did they made two different products if they are same potency? I still didnt understand this. Thanks for your patience

The C or CH scale is the most used scale of dilution. Each dilution consists of: mixing 1 part of the previous dilution with 99 parts of solvent (usually 70% alcohol), followed by succussion (vigorous agitation during 7 seconds). Each dilution is prepared in a new vial. This process is repeated 6 times for a 6C and 30 times for a 30C. In Europe, the C scale is named CH – H for Hahnemannian, because Hahnemann created the method.

The CK scale has been created by the Russian Simeon Korsakov. Each dilution is diluted 100 times, but only one vial is used through the entire process. Also, pure water is used instead of 70% alcohol. This process enables the manufacturing of higher dilutions, because it is more economical and faster. So, 30CK, 200CK, 1000CK (1M) are commonly used. The scale goes up to 100,000CK.

What can we deduct?

C and CK scales are not prepared the same way, and can only be compared in terms of low, medium and high dilutions. For the C scale, 6C is low, 9C is medium, 30C is high. For the CK scale, 30CK is low, 200CK is medium and 100,000CK is high.
Some homeopaths have experience in using certain scales and prefer prescribing in these scales.

There is no valid method to calculate equivalences between scales, except for the very first dilutions (1C, 2C, 1CK, 2CK) where we can still measure the quantity of active ingredient in the dilution. After a few dilutions, we cannot make the equivalence anymore.
What about 200C?

A 200C is a Hahnemannian dilution, using 200 vials. This takes a lot of times to manufacture. Most of the time, 200C are mislabeled 200CK, far easier to prepare. Boiron doesn’t sell 200C dilutions anymore.

I get what you say my friend, Im aware of the processes in Korsakov and in hahnemanian. But here we have BOTH Korsakov dilutions for the 2 products Im showing. Why do you compare C with CK I know they are different dilution protocols, here we have K and CK which are the same dilution protocol (Korsakov). And Im wondering why Boiron made these 2 different products since K and CK are the same. Or maybe they are not the same. Thats my whole point.
Thanks

Since making homeopathic remedies required so many vials, in the 1820s, Korsakoff, a Russian physician, created a new method using one vial and allowing the remaining liquid that clings to the bottle be considered the next part of the one to one hundred dilution. Then the dilution is succussed again in each step of the potency manufacturing. The remedies produced by this method are called CK Centesimal Korsakovian or just K potencies.

C and CK scales are not prepared the same way, and can only be compared in terms of low, medium and high dilutions. For the C scale, 6C is low, 9C is medium, 30C is high. For the CK scale, 30CK is low, 200CK is medium and 100,000CK is high.

When you say The remedies produced by this method are called CK Centesimal Korsakovian or just K potencies. it means CK and K are the same (both Korsakovian scale), right? in other words CK = K, right?
Then why Boiron sells 200CK and 200K if CK and K are the same?
