Chilhood Eczema

Hi,
My daughter 3 years of age is suffering from childhood eczema since almost 2 years. She is having raches all over he body but mostly on arms and legs. It is very itchy and she scratches them all the time to the extent that blood comes out.I showed to an allopathic doctor and he gave some liquid to apply. Once I apply it the ratch disappears but comes back soon. She is not able to sleep properly also at nights.
One more thing, her outside portion of eyes especially right one is often red. This increases when she is having cold and the eyes gets swollen also.Earlier this redness used to happen only when she was having cold but now I am noticing it everytime.
On the back side of the knees it has become a big black spot. On the arms the eczema is on the elbows, wrist, knuckles and upper arm.
I even took her to a homeopath in India and got the medicine but I dont see much improvement. As I am living in Qatar I can not show her to another homeopath.
Please help as my daughter is in great pain.

Regards
Naushad

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you give some details about the excema please. Is it red, scabby, dry/wet etc.
Please tell me also about the character of your daughter is she quit, anxious, restless etc.

Regards, Sjaak

Hello naushadakhtar,

When warm applications give some relief: Arsenicum Album is the remedy that you need.
Give her three globules of the 12 (X or C) potency at least one hour before any food or drink (water is allowed). Wait a month and watch any reaction.
BEWARE that some aggravation can occur but that will be a good sign. It will not last long and it indicates that the remedy is the right one.

My husband suffered from ezcema for years. We did find a product the manages it well. I can't talk about it here. But please e-mail me through my website if you would like. Until then, just to make it a little easier on her try switching soaps. The best one that we foung was Sommer's Eve Feminine Wash/Bath. Use the sensitive skin version. You'll find it with the feminine products at your local store. Switch to it completely and use it as a body wash. I can't even tell you how much that helped maintain the proper moisture balace of the afflicted areas. Also, if you use Gain, Tide, or ALL I would switch.

Dear,
I have Arsenicum Album 30 and not 12X and since I am in Qatar where homeopathy is ban I cannot get 12X. In this case can I give 30X or should I wait till I get it from India.

naushadakhtar last decade
You better wait till you get the right potency. Using the 30 would be like killing a fly with a canon instead of a newspaper.
I urge you NOT to use the 30 potency on a young child.

Hi,
My son is 4.5 yrs old, and suffers from atopic dermatitis(thats what the allopaths have told us) during winters and summers and if his skin comes in contact with anything non-cotton., mostly under the knee, elbows and underarms. these are reddish (inflamed)tiny bumps in the affected area, which are not itchy to start with but gets itchier as days go by. have been advised to keep those areas moisturised and cotton clothing always besides application of a very mild steroidal cream.
Despite all preacutions this keeps recurring each year.
he is tall, on the thinner side, active and sharp kid. likes being in colder conditions, turns red instantly if in hot surroundings, vegetarian diet, good digestion, dosent like or take milk, prefers savoury to sweet,
please help...
Thanks

Vyushti,

You better ask this question in a new (your own) post. Adding such questions to other people's problems is not the best way.

Since you do not have Ars Alb in the potency that was advised, you may like to know that I have used Arnica 6c in the wet dose successfully on a number of cases of Eczema.

You make the wet dose by inserting 3 pellets of the remedy into 500ml spring water which you succuss (shake hard) every time before you give a dose which is a teaspoonful to your daughter.

You should normally observe some improvement in her skin condition in under a week.

Report response if you use this remedy.

I have got Ars.Alb 12X. What is the dosage that I should give my daughter. I gave her Ars Alb. since last week but initially I could see some improvement but again it has worsened. What should I do now??

As I wrote before: “Wait a month and watch any reaction. BEWARE that some aggravation can occur but that will be a good sign. It will not last long and it indicates that the remedy is the right one.”
So the fact that things get worse is good BUT please stop giving her the remedy TILL thing improve. When the complaints get less, start giving the Ars. Do not give this remedy more than twice a day and when things go alright; even less.
