painful hip and arthritis on thumbs and index fingers

Hi

my mother, who is 74 years of age suffers from arthritic pains in both thumbs and index fingers. Can you recommend a suitable remedy?

Her diet is not very good. She is only 50kg and 145cm so is very slight in build.

Her weekly diet consists only of:

porridge oats, bananas, tomatoes, wholemeal bread, salad leaves, brazil nuts, fresh orange juice, but mostly cakses and buscuits and supplemented by garlic perles, evening primrose oil. She also does not drink sufficient quantities of water.

She has now twisted her lower back (more hip area) and is only able to move around with the aid of a walking stick. I remember this happened last year and she was in pain for many weeks.

Might she use rhus tox 6c every day for a week then come off for three weeks?

Not sure if she can take rhuta before she starts taking the rhus tox as this might help the sore back/hip more so than rhus tox would?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Please NOTE Garlic neutralises homeopathic remedies!!!.

Is the arthritis inflammatory or is there some deformation/lumps on joints.

In any case do not take more than ONE remedy at a time.

I have prescribed Rhus Tox 1M for arthritis and Hypericum 200 for the pain, if any and both remedies have proved to be perhaps the ultimate remedy for helping with this disease.

You can also use Arnica 30c for her back pain.

Please note that all remedies may only be used at the potencies that I have prescribed in the wet dose.

Also remember that they will not be a quick fix as the cure may take a few months.

Can you please explain what 'wet dose' means? Perhaps it means that the pill should be placed in water until it dissolves and taken throughout the day or over a short period of time?
