Dizzy for 5 weeks

Hi,

About 5 weeks ago I started to get pressure and tinitus in my left ear, I was told that I had wax on the eardrum and so I was told by my GP to use almond oil to remove it. I did this but I then started to get the same problem in my right ear. I tried the same thing but it didn't seem to help

The next day I started to get really dizzy, my head felt heavy and my right ear still felt blocked up. I also had terrible pain in my sinuses (either side of my nose). The dizziness was NOT like the room spinning, it was more like a severe unsteadiness.

I was told by my GP that I had labyrinthitis and that it would take a few weeks to get better.

I was STILL feeling like this up until the start of this week but then the heaviness in my head started to go and I no longer suffer from tinitus in my right ear. The problem is that I am still dizzy and now my legs and arms feel extremely weak (as if I am about to fall over)

I also have crohn's disease and am on azathioprine for this.

do you know of any homeopathic remedies that I could take to help me without affecting the azathioprine or crohn's?

Also, I have discovered that I have crackling in my ears when I swallow and cannot pop my right ear at all (the doc thinks it could be due to blocked eustachian tubes)

Thanks very much

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The azothiopine is probably a contributary cause of the problem.

If the eaars crack when you swallow use Silica 3x twice a day for a week and wait a week to judge result--- beware this site spells Silica as Silicea!!

just curious how you are now...i've had the same problem for over a year now, after a episode of vertigo. Hope to hear from you and I hope you are better now...I know this is a horrible feeling.

Thanks for the reply, I have been trying various things, kali mur and silica but with no great effect. I started to feel better at the weekend there (not perfect by any means)but on monday night I was feeling really bad again.

I can't get a referral to ENT for 17 weeks!!! and the gp is sick of the sight of me!, I wish it was sooner. Good news is that I am not feeling so bad today.

Does anyone know how to relieve ear pressure (I can't get my ear to pop!) as it is really bothering me, not pain but I can feel it a lot?

well, one thing I was researching was that being deficient in calcium can cause this. I would try to take the daily recommended amount of calcium...I am not a Dr. but I think it is about 1500 ius. Look into it, try and see what it does. That's what I am working on now, along with a full body detoux.
