I note that your question has been answered fully on:

Chikun guniya is unknown in Sri Lanka where I live but we have a close relative in Dengue of which there are 4 variations of the virus which is transmitted by the mosquito. The danger is that the Platelet count of the blood goes down rapidly and patients have to be transfused sometimes with blood to keep them alive till the virus takes its course. Hospitalization is essential as the patient has violent rigors with a spiking temperature which sometimes goes up to 105F. The patient is then in a bath of sweat and it takes a lot of effort to maintain a balance.

I use Ledum Pal 200 and Eupatorium Perf 30 as the remedies for Dengue.

Thanks Joe,
Pankaj has had some experience with chikun guniya and had suggested Eup. Perf and Rhus tox 200 which have started showing some results already.
