After 2 horrible nights of restless sleep. i found this website in searching for a cure (non-prescription) Iodine was suggested. So about noon today, painted the wrists and throat areas. I found Iodine at a local drug store. It was under $2. I took a one hour nap and already felt better. The prior two days, it hurt to swallow, it was horrible to eat or drink, burning sensation during both. I ate watermelon and when i would drink i would drink as fast as possible. by 2 pm i was at a soup and salads (buffet restaurant) enjoying soup, more fruit, drinking. it pretty much took care of my sore throat and swollen glands. i read here that it takes care of skin tags. i placed iodine on the 3 i have and hopefully they will be gone. i will report back as to whether or not it works, but as far as the initial success and how great i feel, i have a positive outlook.'

Nita, from St Pete, Fl: Iodine definitely works for me, however, I find it best to use the clear 'decolorized' iodine, available at most drugstores. I paint it on the inside of the wrists (where the veins are closest to the skin) and on the sides of the throat.'

This is a classic example of supression and is against homeopathic theory and prectice.

I am not sure to which country you belong. I have two children. They have grown up well now. But I had lot of problems with myown tonsils and my children's.

I am in India and I have certainly got the best possible cure for tonsils. Of course, it was more a supression than a cure. I was not aware of Homeo treatment by then. Twice daily I used to apply Mandal's paint and it used to solve the problem. There is nothing wrong in applying iodine in tonsils. No side effect ever seen. You have to see that it does not create lesions in the tonsils or in the throat. Thats all. But having come to this site and getting veteran advice, it would be very much better to treat than go for operation. Allopathic doctors are divided over this operation. There is a group of doctors who maintain that Tonsils operation is not good for health, as it prevents infection to lungs. But it must be kept free from infection. Homeopathy does the best.
