chronic eczema- reactions to acidic foods

I am looking for advice relating to chronic eczmea on the back of my hands and on my head. I have not used any drugs/medications for several years and have been seeing a great kinesiologist who has helped me very much, but she suggested I should also try homeopathy to help.

I have had skin problems since I was a baby. I am now 34. for now it is isolated to the back of my hands, and my forehead and head. before it was on my eyes and neck. I had bad candida overgrowth which I cleared through liver flushing and diet. I eat very few processed foods now, and am stronger than before. but, i still seem to react to acidic foods like apple cider vinegar. I would be grateful for any help in trying to get my body to heal.

Thanks,
John

ps. my son had ezema as well, but it is now mostly gone.

Arnica 6c in the wet dose can help you. Please type Eczema into the Search Forums cage on the left of this page and read the many cases who have successfully responded to this therapy.

The latest technique that I have advised is to dab the liquid from the wet dose directly on the lesions and some have reported that the Eczema seems to vanish overnight.

Some more information that might help. For many years I was not very healthy, then I went on a holistic health kick where I changed most of my lifestyle to try and be healthy, but I think I may have gone too far. I became pre-occupied with worry about everything that was not healthy, and developed food intolerances. I was already a nervous person, but it got worse. I am introverted and generally shy. I became very afraid of bad health. lately I have been waking up at 4:00am and can't get back to sleep. thanks,

John

I started the Arnica wet does because the Rhus tox was not readily available to me. I have not found a source. I have been taking the arnica for around a week, should I take the rhus tox too, or wait?

Joe, re the arnica, I have noticed a change. I don't get blisters anymore, and the skin doesn't itch, but, it has turned a deep blood red color below the surface. it looks very strange. and, my hands are cold. any thoughts?

I believe that your skin is responding to the Arnica therapy. You have confirmed that it does not itch anymore and the reason it has turned a deep blood red colour is because the Arnica is causine a suffusion of the blood away from the pockets in the tissue where it had been locked in for some reason I cannot understand. Arnica is known to ease the flow of blood and this is a good example. The itchiness you experienced was the body's way of alerting you to the problem and I am glad that I was able to advise you to use Arnica even before I saw your photographs.

I would not advise you to use the Rhus Tox 10M prescribed by Deoshlok as this may antidote the Arnica.

I note that you did not confirm that you have dampened the affected skin with the remedy from the bottle.

This also helps in a way that is best described as 'incredible'.

Joe-

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have been splashing a bit of the wet remedy on the hand a few times a day. I have also have a very bad spot on the top of my head/forehead with with very flaky itchy skin, but it is harder to splash the remedy on that spot as I am at work all day.

I have succeeded in solving a problem like yours by advising the use of a piece of lint or any towelling after it is boiled to take off any residual chemicals like detergent and after drying, it is soaked in the Arnica ';solution' and left on with a piece of sticking plaster to hold it for sometime on the area like on your forehead. It is the constant contact with the water which is the remedy that works the miracle.

Try it.
It works.

Please report progress.

Joe-

I have a question. I have read things online saying it is not wise to treat the symptoms of eczema with homeopathy if you are just suppressing symptoms rather than getting at the root cause. Does the Arnica treatment get to the root cause or is it symptomatic... what do you think of this? I will try the wet bandage and report back....

Answering your question will take a long essay and you are advised to read the posts that I have made on Eczema by typing in the word into the Search Forums cage on the left.

You do not have to use it merely because I prescribed it and you can forget it if you are not comfortable with it.

I didn't mean to offend you, just concerned to get it right. I have had skin problems all of my 33 years of life, and want nothing more than to leave this issue behind.

I wore a cotton glove last night, soaked in the wet remedy, then wrapped in plastic. whole back of hand pink, and tight. no eruptions. Skin on my forehead very dry and flaky, with some redness.

how long should I continue, and should I take a break at any point?

Thanks,
John

I believe that the cotton glove soaked in the remedy and wrapped in plastic may perhaps be a little too overkill as it is possible that the skin my react to being wet and damp all the time with not only eczema but even blisters.

You did not report whether it helped your hand or not. As you will realize I cannot see it from across the world and you must keep me updated accurately to enable me to judge whether the therapy is helping. A photograph of the hand after the glove therapy would be useful.

Please note that you are not expected to do your liver flushing as this can be dangerous and also expensive.

Here is a pic I just took. the condition is different, not itchy, but red, and smooth like scar tissue.

You have still not confirmed that your skin is better than before. Comparing the photograph with the others, I believe that it looks better with less red than before. Am I correct ? If it is not itchy this too confirms that you are on the road to recovery. However please do not overdo your therapy. Damp your glove in the remedy but do not keep the skin wet always wrapped in plastic.

I note that you do not have any lesions visible in your phorograph which some other cases present. Does your skin flake when rubbed ?

You will soon know if Arnica is helping you if and when the redness disappears.

Joe-

I believe it is better in that it does not itch, and there is much less blisters with clear puss (though I still have a little). There is one very small lesion that won't show on the photograph, a little puss because I scratched it.

There is not much flaking at al on my hand, but my forehead scalp has much dead skin flaking off... is very very dry and tight. like scales it snows off.

You are only 3 days into the therapy and it is still too early to evaluate it although from our report it seems to be helping you.

Keep me advised of your response daily.

Will do Joe, Thank you.

Joe-

Here is today's update. Last night, while watching a movie, a dabbed generous amounts of the solution on my hand and forhead, leaving a wet cloth on for periods of time.

at about 2:00 am, i woke up scratching my head in the eczema area... large amounts of sticky clear fluid came out from the skin on my forhead/scalp, but not my hand. The skin on my hand and forhead is very tight, flaky skin, less red than yesterday, but very dry.

Let me know if you need more detail.

Thanks,
John

If you agree that the Arnica therapy is helping you, can you keep your forehead also damp in the same manner you have succeeded with your hand as it may just help to resolve your unusual problem. A light bandage kept down with sticking plaster or whatever can help.

I hope that you are also taking Arnica wet dose 3 times daily while dabbing it directly on your skin.

You cannot drink coffee, cola drinks and eat sausages ham and bacon. No other drugs or remedies may be taken.
Also no red meats for the moment till we get your problem out of the way.

Joe-

I had been taking the remedy only twice daily internally. i will add the third dose starting today.

re the meat issue, I just ate a bacon breakfast before reading your message, sorry. I will avoid from today forward.

i do not drink coffee, but drink a few cups of quality gree tea every day (or other herbal teas) is that ok?

Any idea why so much puss would suddenly come out my forhead? I had assumed it was a good thing, a sort of cleansing reaction... is this not the case?

3 doses Arnica 6c only for 1 week as it works best twice daily after that time. Homeopathy cannot be hurried. It works slowly but surely.

Glad I remembered to warn you about the preserved meats with saltpeter which antidotes all homeopathic remedies.

Difficult to give you a reason for the pus. If this is your last encounter with pus, no hard feelings.
