I dont think you have understood what iv asked you!
Maybe if try to understand what its like for a patient whose had severe Asthma for 18 years and tried many types of treatment(allopathic,homepathic and herbal)in this country and abroard.
And ive heard from many people like yourself who think they understand what the patient is suffering from but i dont feel its a crime for me ask what ive asked!
when you have every Tom,Dick and Harry adding there opinion about something without explaining where and how they achieved this information,its very frustating!
Dont get me wrong im not having a go at you,but i havnt and many others havnt been able to eat,sleep,work and live life the way normal people do, and have been on continuous medicine for 18years and regular visits to emergency departments of hospital and have an oxygen cylinder in our bedroom for asthma then maybe you will understand why ive questioned you.
I dont feel sorry for myself and i dont want you to aswell but im not a muppet or an experiment for people to play with.
All im asking is if you read what you wrote on the 4/12/2006 where and how does this explain to me or anybody else, how you understand asthma!
Maybe my words are coming across as harsh but if you try to undestand this is the patients point of view!
I can go the anybodies forum and start adding post,but what do i know?,have i introduced myself?, or do i like just adding information because i have nothing to do in my life and its entertainment?
These questions are not aimed at you so dont think im slagging you off!
Try to understand what i have wrote and i hope we can keep in touch and the information and advice that you provide could prove to be very valuable to me and many others!
I hope that this post of mine doesnt bring divisions between me and you,i really do!

hazro, your agitation and frustration with this disease are perfectly understandable, as is the desire for relief. However, please re-evaluate your intention of following a non-homeopathic use of homeopathic remedies. In that case, you'd be better off with inhalers. What they will provide is the same temporary 'relief'. And, seeing the conflicting opinions on this thread, I will invite trouble from the 'quicky-prescriptionists' and advise you to please first locate a competent homeopath and then take personal treatment. Asthma is not an easy disease to live with, and its not 'easy' to cure - by which I mean remove completely, without other troubles appearing.
Zep, if you are advising cortisone preparations - and even if your suggestion is not cortisone but an allopathic preparation, do note that this is a homeopathic forum.

I have suffered from asthma all my life, which is over 50 years now. I am acute chronic asthmatic, and I have had to make emergency dashes to hospital with life-threatening attacks more than once. So I DO know how it feels to suffer from athsma - each and every day I have been alive.
And I can assure you that I have tried every notion and potion under the sun over the years, and have studied the subject extensively at university. The vast majority of these 'medicines' and 'procedures' have done absolutely nothing for my asthma (and some have made it significantly worse).
I have also been a test subject for asthma research, for a number of drug and 'method' trials. I even have the high-definition CT (X-ray) scans of my own lungs while having an asthma attack.
So believe me, I DO know what it is like, and I DO know what does and does not work for it. And I posted that for you to read before. People have worked for decades to develop those remedies too, and they work very well with almost no side-effects. But it is entirely your choice whether you follow up on that proven medication or not. I cannot force you.
And Ripas, are you seriously recommending posters here to ignore proven medical remedies for illnesses just because they are not some brand of homeopathic? Is that wise, do you think? What if this person is harmed as a result?

ZepOz, I am seriously suggesting that a homeopathic forum presupposes homeopathic treatment. I am sure you have the best motives, but if a person is posting here, it is generally after trying conventional treatment or because they specifically want homeopathic remedies.
However, I do concur with you in that the selection of which school to follow is totally the patient's choice.

Hazro, I note that many posters actually come here before they try anything at all, not after problems with regular medications. This seems to be a first stop, not a last stop.
Further, they seem very scared of asking their doctors for help in person in private. However they seem to have no problems in posting their names and illnesses on a public homeopathy forum for the world to read.
That's puzzling, isn't it. Why do you think that is?

I can aplogise if you felt from my post dated 12/12/2006 that i was having a go at you or your post but i wasnt,believe me.
I like many others and that includes yourself have experienced alot because of the asthma we suffer!
I wrote what i did based on the post that i recieved earlier from yourself which in all honesty didnt even give the slightest clue of your experience and asthma.

As a severe persistent asthma sufferer who only gets relief from DuoNebs and does not respond to any level of controller medications I constant am searching for answers for how to get my life back. At first when I found this site and this thread I was excited and interested! I have had a hard time finding homeopathic recommendations online just more of the same meds I've already tried with fail. Sadly as I continued to read my hopes were dashed when I saw that the so called 'professionals' that are making these recommendations are acting live 5 year old siblings fighting over a ball on the playground. OMG - GROW UP!!! Anyone considering taking the advice of a grown adult claiming to be a 'professional' that acts in the manner you have on this site should really stop and think twice! If you have come here for help and were beginning to get your hopes up as I was please be sure to read on and evaluate the stability, maturity, and professionalism of the ones making recommendations before get your hopes up too far!
