sickle cell - chronic spinal pain,effecting entire body,please help
I have experienced spinal pain since I was a teen. Now the pain has become unbearable.I am a 33 yr.old male who is experiencing symptoms similar to sickle cell animia. This is something I found an older sister to be suffering from. I do not know my families medical history to well, But I know that these pains have become worse and do not know how to get quick relief.
I am married, weigh about 145lb., living in Fl. My main complaint is the chronic pain in the entire spinal from the base to the tail bone and how it effects my mobility and the pain goes throughout my entire body (left arm mainly, entire rt. leg, shoulders, waist, joints and chest). I can't sleep from the extreme pain.
I am currently being check for some chest pains I've been experiencing and the recently finding of artery blockage so I take nitro as needed. No other meds execept for Davorcet for pain to which does not help.
I crave sweets and I'm not the healthest eater but I have changed my eating habit considerably. Going more organic. this pain effects my mood. I find myself being extremely irritable and easily angered when in pain. This pain effects my work, my daily activities, my sleep. I experience numbness, tingling sensation throughout my body, feeling hot like if I had a fever, feeling as if I'm going to pass out from the pain, pressure in pelvic area. The more active my day, the more pain I will often experience. Although lately it doesnt' seem to matter.
I can't sleep at night, I can't rest from work.Please, if anyone knows how I can allivate this pain to get some rest, let me know.

Not yet. I'll be going for testing soon. most of the sypmtoms are very much related to that of sickle cell as for the extensive reasearch I've done and the little info I have on family.

It is a genteic conditions, once I did some experiments and patient got some relief.
Following thing were done:
Just one spoon of Tonic Water (Sold in America, Canada and Europe) a day. No more than one spoon.
If not Tonic water, obtain CHINA OFFICINALIS (CINCHONA OFFICINALIS) also called Peruvien Bark or china. Take some powder of it.
Secone:
Arnica to dilate the capalliaries. Use Arnice 6C just once a day.
Third:
Belladonna-30 also to dilate the capillaries only when pain exists.
Following thing were done:

Kuldeep, can I suggest it would be a good idea to wait for Michael to be properly diagnosed before offering any remedies?
Also, you are advising the patient take straight cinchona (quinine) powder. Have you considered if that is a good idea for a patient with sickle-cell anaemia? And you haven't specified any strength either - he may react badly to the substance like Hahnemann did 200 years ago. Tonic water contains only a very low dosage of quinine (it give the drink its bitter taste).

My recommendations are based upon symptoms.
In all chronic cases effect of all medicine must be observed and then dose adjusted. cinchona (quinine) bark is available from all health stores. Bark is not quinine but its extract is quinine. Straight bark is about 3c of quinine.

Kuldeep, the patient has sickle cell anaemia, which is a genetic disease. All the symptoms flow from that situation.

I have not been medically diagnosed with sickle cell but members in my family have been.
My main complaint is the extreme chronic pain in the entire spine that effects my mobility. Right now I have been in bed for 2 days unable to walk. I do stretches, and try walking with the help of my wife but the pain is intense. I am taking Davocet but it does not help.

Please tell me about your studies on sickle cell anaemia and thalassemia. That sounds most interesting.
And it appears I misread the patient's post - I read it that he did indeed have sickle cell now, but it appears this is only a family tendency at the moment, and not confirmed in this case. My mistake.

thanks kuldeep, only Arnica 30 was used on both cases and they felt much relief.
I have ordered Arnica 6c and Belladona 30 and Peru Bark.
