On Homeopathy for one month

Hello to all.

I have been on Homeopathy for one month now. Can anyone please be kind enough to tell me if I should be experiencing the eczema getting worse by now. Of course I know better than anyone not to expect quick fixes as I have suffered for so many years but should I expect nothing to happen for a month and then a sudden healing crisis.

If this is a silly thing to ask please excuse me but I am a little anxious about it,. My homeopath did say that it should start popping oput further and I will have some discomfort but I just wanted some opinions.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Well when I was on steroids I used to get it on my face, neck, back of the elbows, back of knees, stomach and on the inner calf. Then I stopped steroids three years ago when I started Ayurvedic. Then the eczema went all over my body and now it is everywhere but in the form of very dark and itchy skin.

Thanks for replying

your eczema may get worse for a while under treatment but if it is a lot worse you should ask your homeopath whether to reduce or change the medication - do not suffer unecessarily.

Thank you.

I suffered a great deal for three years on Ayurvedic with little or no respite from the pain.

I only stopped the meds last month and feel better for it. My finders and my feet/ankles are a little swollen but it isn't painful. I guess I was just expecting something very painful.

Are you saying that ayervedic made your eczema worse? Strange...

ZepOz last decade
No, I meant that the eczema went everywhere because I quit the steroids cold turkey, and I was on Ayurvdeic at the time.

Ah, I see. So it was quitting the effective medicine that did it. And Ayervedic didn't prevent it getting worse.

Lavina-

Hang in there. I had a similar exerience. when you quit the drugs, and start holistic treatment, an 'unsuppression' takes place. my eczema exploded for over two years. it was horrible. but, in the long run, it was a good thing as I was able to bring the disease 'back to the surface' where it can be treated. I finally tried homeopathy (a couple of months now), and the results have been dramatic. I have almost no recognizable eczema anymore. I attribute the fast results with homeopthy to two years of diet fasting cleansing ect, that helped undo the damage that steroids did to my body.

its funny the comments that are made about what is a cure. if steroids were such a great cure, why would you need to take them for the rest of your life? it doesn't make any sense at all. its like taking a high interest loan, and delaying the payments. the bill will be huge when it finally comes due.

Hang in there, you are on the right track. what remedy were you given?

John, thank you for your words. They really helped.

Its funny but a couple of days after my first post I had noticed my eczema getting worse, especially on the face neck and arms again. I know it isn't a stress flare up because it feels different.

The remedies I have been given are:

Natrum Mur+Hepar Sulph Cal 1M
(twixce a day)
' ' 10M
(To take every 15 days)
Baptisia 200
(Twice a week)
Rhus tox+Graphites
(every three -four hours)

John I don't know you but I am so happy for you that your eczema healing has become so effective!!!

for me it has been nothing short of a miracle, especially since I, like our skeptic friends here, thought homeopathy was placebo. I quit drugs at least four years ago, and researched every alternative/holistic approach I could find. I even did urine therapy (which helped interestingly, just not enough) Nothing did much for me though.

For me, it was a real eye opener when my first experiments brought on changes, because I honestly didn't believe anything would happen. And, after everything I tried, a placebo effect would be a real joke.

after a little messing around with non-classical homeopathy, I tried to find my constitutional rememdy, I tried lycopodium, and within a week, my eczema, hair loss and general misery began to fade. I have taked a few doses since, but not many, and am still in awe how it worked, after 34 years of suffering, when nothing else did. I don't take offense when others are skeptical (I was afterall), but I do chuckle. sure its an art as opposed to a science at this point, but, so what? that only bothers scientists and allopathic docs, not sick people.

hang in there. it seems as though your doc has given you alot of different remedies, not exactly the approach I took. hopefully he or she is guiding you in the right direction though.

Hi Lavx

The way your doctor is prescribing you, you don't have a chance to get any relief.

Please read the article

'Dr.Luc's article on pseudo homeopathy'

Just search the forums, by using the button on your left hand side.

There are many homeopaths who don't care a damn about spoiling further the health of unsuspecting patients like you.

They really don't know anything about homeopathy, but pretend to be homeopaths.

Dear John

You did the right thing in stopping the drugs, which I presume are allopathic medicines.

It confirms my experience that if one can manage to be totally away from allopathic medicines, and the longer he was away from them, the better will be the benefit from homeopathy.

A person who stopped them four years back will get quicker benefit, than the one who stopped them only six months ago.

This is applicable more specifically to steroids, which unfortunately is the first line of treatment for Eczema in allopathy.

Murthy, that is what I was thinking also.

I only started to think this way very recently though as at the beginning I was desperate for some relief that I put myself in his hands.

I hope nobody thinks I am stupid for doing this but I live in England and the doctor who is a friend of my family, lives in India....that is why I (am) trusting his judgements. He has spoken to me a hell of a lot about almost every aspect of myself and then prescribed me the remedies. He is in touch with me practically everyday and doesn't ask for any money.

Do people suggest that I should see a homeopath here instead. I have taken the remedies for just over a month now. Maybe it is better to stop them now rather than 6 months down the line.....

I know some of you can relate to how desperate one can be at times and when information is coming at you from all over the place it is difficult to really know what on earth to do.
Thanks for listening

Lavina-

you can't worry about offending the doc who is trying to help. you really need to worry about yourself. just tell him that you need to take a break and regroup, and that you will get back to him... and that you are grateful for his time and effort.

I agree with Murthy, they may be a better approach out there for you. If you look around in England, you should be able to find a good classical homeopathy.

Murthy, what you say about the steroid drugs may well be true. It takes the body awhile to recover from the long term use of such drugs. It makes me angry to think I lived that way for over 30 years, not knowing that I had other options. hopefully that is changing.

Lavina

John has put it correctly. Look for a classical homeopath, who gives you one medicine at a time, in England.

Lavinia, you said in an above post that your eczema was actually getting worse again, even though you weren't stressed or anything. Is that the case?

And do you think you could give us a diary of the progress of your illness as your new medication is used?

Many thanks

Also, could you please help me with your time line:

1) You were treating your eczema with steroids, which helped reduce it somewhat. You were also taking ayervedic at the same time.

2) Three years ago you stopped the steroids but continued the ayervedic. The eczema flared up worse again.

3) You have continued the ayervedic, and your eczema has not subsided appreciably.

4) You are now looking for a homeopathic remedy. This is three years after you stopped taking steroids.

Is that correct?

Again, many thanks

zepoz-

question for you, what methods are available for allopathic doctors to cure, permanently, eczema? As someone who tried every allopathic treatment out there for over 30 years, I'm curious to know whether I gave up on my docs prematurely...
